She always takes the time to ease my nerves--often lightening the mood with a smile or a well-timed joke during visits. I find Dr Lee to be a very thorough, engaging & knowledgeable physician. I am never rushed during my appointments with her. She is very current in her recommendations on hormone therapy & the use of them which i found very helpful. I hope that with my review, it can help those of you who may be looking for a gynecologist. I have been a patient of Dr. Lee's for about 14 years now. Before I found Dr. Lee, I was in so much pain. The pain was so severe that on several occasions I dropped down on my knees and had to curl up in a ball. My previous doctor only prescribed nerve relaxers for the pain but did not try to find a solution. I just had a baby, and I was nursing. The nerve relaxer made me feel so out of control and I did not want to harm my daughter, so I had to stop the medicine. I desperately searched for a new doctor and found Dr. Eunice Lee. She has been such a huge help and blessing in my life. Not only did she help diagnose the problem, but she got me out of the pain. She is a very straight forward and honest doctor. Living here in America things get too sugar coated because we are too afraid to offend someone by truly being honest. In my search for doctors, I have found that there are doctors out there who don't seem to care or take the time to help figure out your problem. You feel like they want to get rid of you quickly, so they tend to just give a generic answer or ask you to take some form of medicine without getting to the root cause. That is not the case with Dr. Lee. She is open and honest, does not beat around the bush, and she explains in simple terms what is going on, which makes it easier for me to understand as a patient. She is very knowledgeable, takes her time with you answering any questions you may have, and I have never once felt rushed. She helps you to know what your options are and what can be done to fix your issue. She doesn't pressure you to do any treatment. She lets you make that decision. Sometimes she may give you a little push, but it is because she truly cares about her patients and wants to help them be in a better place physically. I even took my husband with me to one of my appointments and he was so impressed with Dr. Lee. He asked if she could be his doctor but unfortunately, she is not a primary care doctor. If I could give zero star rating I would... Dr. Eunice Lee is by far one of the most condescending and unsympathetic doctors I have ever encountered. Shouldn't a gynecologist make women feel safe and relaxed??? I just felt so uncomfortable and afraid to even ask questions -- not to mention, how vulnerable I felt. She just laughed at everything I was saying.. At one point I literally had to remind her I am unfamiliar with the gynecological testings/services and that I am here to just relay my problems to a DOCTOR who could recommend or at least help guide... I'm 100% sure I can find another gynecologist that actually cares about my well-being and EMOTIONAL/MENTAL STATE. Never thought I would be writing a doctor review in my life... I went in for the first time for my yearly visit. Front Office staff is slow in many ways. No personality and dry. I guess this comes from the top. Her nurse was the best thing about this visit. Office is old and slightly dirtier than I'd expect for an office in Irvine. At one point, there is a wooden board holding something up. I was also a bit nosey and the way she had her tools and supplies stored where somewhat disgusting. All piled up in a drawer. It was so bad that when they left me alone in there, I took pictures to show my sister. I wish I could post them here but alas I cannot. I am Perimenopause and am starting to get some major symptoms. I thought because she was a little older she would understand my ordeal. She told me that she wouldn't order hormone tests because they didn't tell her much and that I should just take more calcium. She pretty much shooed me off like an annoying fly. When I left, they charged me $50 because I had asked her questions!!! You heard that right. I called my insurance company and asked if this was correct. They said doctors can do this but most don't. Finally, my test results came back for my blood test. Her nurse called me and said everything was ok and if I have any questions to talk to my primary. Everything wasn't ok. My sugar and cholesterol was very high and abnormal count in my liver. I had gone in to look at my test results myself and asked her why she didn't mention this and she told me that I just need to talk to my primary.. What a waste of my time and money. read more

THE WORST DOCTOR I HAVE EVER MET IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. The entire visit with her was absolutely horrible. First of all, I couldn't get ahold of her office at all. I've called multiple times before being able to schedule an appointment with her. When I have arrived, I was in the waiting room for about 10-15 minutes before someone was able to help me out and check me in. It took them 30 minutes just to bring me back to a room. When I was in a room, the Dr. did not come in until AN HOUR after my appointment time. The wait was ridiculous!! When the Dr. finally came in, she did not apologize at all for making me wait for over an hour. I had multiple concerns that I brought up to her, but they were brushed off like it wasn't a big deal! She laughed A LOT to some of my concerns and everytime I asked her a question she answered in a condescending way like the answer is supposed to be common knowledge. She told me she'd order labs for me, when I asked which ones she would order, she answered in a very arrogant tone and acted like she was confused why I even asked her that question. I feel like it is pretty standard for doctors to let you know what their plan is for your health but NOPE! Instead I had to ask her myself and was not expecting her to answer that way. I ended up crying in the car after my appointment because I have never felt so neglected and ignored by a MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL! I didn't even set foot into this office before having to ask my PCP to refer me to another doctor. I just needed to do an annual check up, but it's impossible to get anything done with this office staff. I had to call a total of 4 times just to be able to make an appointment, because every time I called, I had no chance to speak before being put on hold for over 30 minutes. When they finally pick up, they speak really fast and give the impression they just want to say whatever they need to say and get it over with. The New office address is: 4950 Barranca #204 Irvine, Ca Dr. Lee has been my OB/GYN for the past several years. She is thorough, knowledgeable and has a wonderful bedside manner. Dr. Lee spends time with me to discuss my exams in detail when the need arises. The results of one exam were abnormal, and she calmly informed me that a different type of exam should be performed for a more conclusive result and to rule out cancer. It wasn't absolutely necessary, but she wanted to make sure everything was OK, and this test concluded that I did not have cancer. She also has been very helpful with recommendations and/or referrals to other practitioners regarding non GYN issues. She remembers, cares and asks about my family, and is a wonderful physician. read more

One of the worst doctors I have ever been to. Be prepared for the wait time! The wait is so long even when there's not another customer waiting. If your appointment is at a certain hour you probably won't be seen until 30-45 minutes after your appointment time. Dr. Lee is not considered a very approachable physician. It is hard to talk to her or ask her questions. During my visit, her head was mostly buried in her laptop or staring off somewhere else. I didn't feel I could have a one on one conversation or was even able to connect with Dr. Lee in any way. She isn't open to answering questions and directed me to make another appointment for any of my questions or concerns. I was referred by my family physician, yet, she wasn't willing to help me out in any way. I would never recommend my family or friends to go here. If there were negative stars for this office I would have selected that. I called a week ago to make an appointment and asked if they can confirm that my insurance covered my visit with Dr. lee. Since I have been spotting I asked to see dr. Lee sooner for fear of a potential miscarriage. The admin staff did not do their due diligence and called me back and said that she could not see me contrary to what my insurance carrier claims. I expressed that I might be miscarrying and that I don't have insurance for urgent care and emergency room visits and to ask if they can further accommodate and look into it. And they blatantly said no. Being in the healthcare industry myself I am shocked that this is allowed and will be escalating this. read more

I have started going to Dr Lee after jumping from Dr to Dr. No one could explain to me my condition with just it happens and it's common. Dr Lee was able to tell me my condition without me telling her what other Drs have told me in the past. She explained to me the possible scenarios of treatments available. She is caring, thorough, kind, and amazing, is my go-to for everything, and really takes care of her patients in a comprehensive way (she really is like my primary care doctor, although I am lucky enough to have a fabulous one). This amazing doctor delivered 5 yes FIVE of my families children. One emergency C-section and another emergency delivery due to hurricane Katrina. My sister has to drive to get away from the storm. She also caught very early my moms uterine cancer and referred her to right specialists without delay. My mother has been cancer free 5 years She is the gynecologist for 4 women in my family and has tested has caught my own pre cancerous cells and I have now for the past 6 years been clear. She doesn't forget a face or a case as far as I know She is profession direct and cares for her patient's well being as top priority. Dr. Lee is the worst doctor I've ever seen. First, she comes in extremely late and does not apologize. She's glued to the computer and does not update you often on what she's doing. When you try to ask her questions, she laughs or answers in a condescending way, like you just asked something so stupid that she could not believe it. The way she answers questions makes you feel horrible for even asking. Like how could you not know this incredibly obvious (not really obvious) thing that she learned in her years in medical school and you didn't? She's very unapproachable, patronizing, and just unkind. As an OBGYN, patients are coming in with issues that they may be uncomfortable sharing. She does not seem to get this and just plays it off like it's funny or not serious to her. And lastly, her exams are SO painful and I don't even know why, because she doesn't explain anything that she's doing. She doesn't seem to care that patients are uncomfortable the entire time. Dr. Eunice Lee has been my gynecologist for the past year and has helped me to treat several complicated symptoms. I had seen other doctors for these issues in the past and had not been able to find a solution until seeing Dr. Lee. She was always patient with me, even returning my calls in the evenings and weekends when I was experiencing distressing symptoms. She seemed to be very thorough and willing to work with me to find solutions and has a calm and straightforward demeanor. She performed my surgery and both she and her office were helpful in preparing me for the procedure. I have always found her exams to be gentle and she has taken the time to answer any questions from me and work with me to find solutions. In fact, this was one of the reasons why I found her to be a good fit for me; she took the time to answer my questions even in my first exam with her, which is not what I had experienced with other doctors in the past. Because she performed my surgery related to these issues, I found out that she has limited office days to accommodate her surgery schedule. However, she made time in her schedule to accommodate my more urgent appointments. I would recommend her to any family or friends without hesitation. read more

I wish there was a minus 5 Star rating for Unice Lee. She should not be practicing. 1. She is impossible to get ahold of. Her front desk staff will not let her patients speak with her. 2. My wife tried numerous times to reach out to her. To no avail. 3. We both called her emergency number several times to try and get in touch with her and she never returned our calls. Her emergency number! My wife was diagnosed with Breast Cancer: an Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Cancer! And Unice Lee withheld the information from my wife for a month. The pathology report from my wife's biopsy sat on Unice Lee's desk for three weeks without her so much as reading it. She told me she "Simply couldn't get to (reading) it." This woman should not be a practicing OBGYN. She never called my wife to tell her: I need to see you, it's urgent. Or: It's urgent that you come see me as soon as possible. Instead, her staff simply told my wife that no appointments were available for a month. She only practices two days a week. The rest of the week she does research at UCI. When a doctor is practicing only two days a week and she can't get the time to read a vital report that one of her patients has cancer there is something vitally wrong with her practice, her work ethic, her communication protocol and her morality. Unice Lee's practice is flawed. Doctors are held to a higher standard. She should not be practicing. Period. read more

She speaks down to you when you have a question about your procedure, but makes sure to tell you about how long she has been in practice and how experienced she is.
