    Beer selections.
    Todd R.

While on a business trip thru Tyler, I had some time to kill and needed to do a little laptop work so I Yelped for a place with WiFi and....and. Could get a cold beer. ETX was one of the non- chains that popped up so always down for a local cold one, headed over. It was around 3:00pm (don't judge - I'm in the oilfield) and easy enough to park, but on a weekend, may be tricky - but I'm unfamiliar with the area so there maybe plenty. Lots of covered outdoor space and lots of indoor space. I stayed in as I needed a little quiet to work. Not too crowded Astros game on - they lost - out of the playoffs. They have several of their own brews so I got a 4-beer flight and an order of spicy fried pickles and to work I went. Sent a pic to some co-workers - they be jealous. Pickles were spot on - crispy and not too greasy. As for the beers - great sampling. My favorite was Vienna Lager (very unique taste) and second the Mexican Lager. So I had a pint of the Vienna to round out the work day. Appears family friendly as I saw some small kids with their parents - not sure about later in the evenings. Had a stage inside for a live band. I'll definitely stop in the next time thru. You should give it a try. Cheers.

We enjoyed our brief stop here. Friendly staff. We settled on the Amber Shores beer, a black bean burger and a Broadway burger with sweet potato fries. The portion of fries was small for the price. Everything was delicious. One weird note - our chairs were super wobbly. Was afraid they'd collapse. They should invest in better seats. We ended up getting beer to go. Definitely recommend and will be back.

    Trivia night at ETX!

Excellent beer! Big beautiful patio! We went for trivia night which was extremely fun! We were initially bummed because the inside seating was full by the time we arrived, but never fear they broadcast to the patio! So we were able to participate afterall! Great laid back atmosphere. Definitely a good place to spend a few hours relaxing and enjoying life!

Burger and chicken sandwich were pretty tasty but not a generous portion. The chicken was fairly thin. Buns were nice. The fries may have been the smallest side fries I've seen at this price. The beer was great, 6.50 each. Total bill 46 bucks. I realize things are more expensive now but this was underwhelming. Cool inside with stage. Walk up to order. They did deliver to table.

Great brewery to visit. Live band on Saturday night. Cool atmosphere and friendly staff. Good selection of beers on tap for nearly every pallet. The Downtown Cherry Brown was great, as was the Park Ranger. Do the flight, great deal to sample and find your fave. The porch burger was amazing and on point cheese curds. I wish I tried the Farm challenge with the 2 pound burger and 3 pounds of fries, but I didn't want to have an heart attack on the way home.

My friend and my girlfriend both ordered their espresso martini that my friend claimed was the best espresso martini in town, while I got the bartender's recommendation of the Animal Style, a pineapple and jalapeño infused tequila with strawberries, cardamom bitters, and a lemon peel garnish. Normally, I hate any drink that is spicy. I cannot stand a Bloody Mary because I don't believe drinks should be allowed to be spicy, but this one, for having jalapeño, is not spicy at all. If anything, it's slightly savory with its tropical flavor. The bartender was great. They have appetizers and tapas as well and as my girlfriend sat down, she really wanted just one of their fresh oysters. I ordered her just one to try and it was $4.25. They gave us the smallest one they could find. The tiniest oyster of all time. I guess size really didn't matter because according to her it was very good. I would go back and have a few more cocktails, but it is a nice place to hang out on the square on a Friday night. A good time to be had by all. RIYL: The finest, most $15ish cocktail you can find.

They get overwhelmed quickly. We have been several times and it is always like this if there is more than 6 people in the restaurant. They only have one guy doing food and two bar tenders. We like to order a mix of oysters They have available and then do another dozen of our favorites. We end up waiting an hour+ between when we get the first set and get the second set. Restaurant is cute on the inside and the cocktails are good.

Great atmosphere, very clean and super friendly staff! Now, the important stuff: the food. We started by sharing a wedge salad, complete with bacon, blue cheese dressing, blue cheese chunks (yum!) and all the crispiness a wedge brings. Very fresh and the dressing was a clue cheese lover's dream. Had the pickle ranch wings and the chicken club sandwich with broccoli cheese soup on the side as our entrees. Everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Now, here's what you should absolutely order if you go here. Do not skip the pretzel with a side of beer cheese or the desserts. The pretzel is like the old Auntie Anne's pretzels in the mall years ago - only a thousand times better!! I will never come here and not order this again every single time. If you like huge, fluffy, salty, crispy on the outside pretzels, this is THE place to get them!! 10 out of 10! For dessert, we got the trio dessert (can't remember the name), but it came with 3 different skillet cookies, topped with ice cream and whipped cream and it was sinful how good they were! We got the chocolate chunk, the caramel and the strawberry shortcake. No words. Just drool. Lots of drool! I can't wait to come back and try their burgers, steaks and pizza - they looked so good too as I watched them being carried out to other tables. They have an extensive menu so you will not have a problem finding something you like. Shout out to our server Devin - she was fantastic, very helpful, kind and very attentive to all of our needs and special requests! Bartender Todd was also amazing and so friendly! The manager even stopped by our table to ensure we had a great experience. We definitely did! I'm so impressed with the service and food here at BJ's - I think it's my new favorite place in Tyler! Thanks for a GREAT dining experience!!

Finally our intrigue outgrew our wariness and we decided to go for dinner. We were pleasantly surprised by everything we encountered! We were seated promptly and our server was awesome! We order the queso as a starter and the serving size was massive and fed our group of 4 PLENTY of cheese. I personally ordered the chicken fajitas and while I wouldn't say there was anything impressive about them I did think they were good. Additionally we ordered the lobster Mac and cheese, pork sliders, and chicken tortilla soup. All of us came to the conclusion at the end of dinner that we really enjoyed our time at Lago Del Pino and thought our food was good. It's definitely a place you go to more for the view and atmosphere than the food but that doesn't have to mean that the food is bad! I'd recommend coming out and trying it for yourself if you're on the fence.

The only indoor seating was around the bar. Place is dirty because of the new flooring. Probably should have just shut down for the night to clean. We started with the trio appetizer. The queso has been sitting for a while and there was a skin on top when they served it, the street corn is old, and the salsa is middle of the road. We met our daughter and her boyfriend for dinner. When the waitress came over instead of taking drink orders she asked if we wanted to do shots. We opted for water. He had the shrimp Alfredo. It only came with 4 over cooked shrimp. My wife and I had the fajita special. This is nothing special. They cut the meat with the grain instead of against it, so it made them chewy. And just tasted like grilled flank steak not really fajitas. The waitress through the whole meal was hard to find and we ended up waiting for about 20 minutes to get the check. Mind you there were only 6 people at the bar plus the 4 of us. We were the only people in the whole place. We might come back in the fall for drinks and the live band but not the food.
