2018 Update--- It looks like a recent customer had a…read moresimilar experience as I did, so I changed my rating from a 2 to a 1 because they don't seem to have improved. I also spoke with a few others who had work done in the past 3 years and it's disappointing. --- I recently brought my 2014 Civic here for repairs after my parked car was hit. I really don't like to post a negative review of a small business, but my experience was such that I feel compelled to say something. At the very least maybe management will see and make some improvements going forward. When I picked up my car I found the front tire had what looked like paint from the job, and the spacing between my front bumper and the body of the car was the same as when I brought it in, that is to say, it was still separated (1/4 inch) from the accident damage. I was notified at closing before the weekend that my car was completed. Unfortunately I couldn't pick it up for another 4 days because of Labor Day weekend. And I couldn't pick it up after they closed because my car was still on the lift, which seemed odd to me. 4 days later I picked it up and it looked only partially completed. So arrangements had to be made to bring it back, and at that point there was no apology or strong desire to make things right. If anything my complaint seemed to inconvenience the person I spoke with over the phone. Two days later I picked it up and I will give credit that there was some sense of an acknowledgment that it wasn't done right the first time. Nevertheless, it still wasn't fixed 100% as I was told the bumper would need to be replaced to get it to 100%. I was also told that it was unlikely insurance would pay for an OEM bumper, though when I talked to my insurance company they said an OEM part would be approved as long as the appraiser decided it was necessary. What should have happened is the appraiser should have been called when it was discovered that the bumper wasn't able to be secured properly. At this point I am choosing to live with the gap because my alternative is to start the whole process over with Kearns. I can't take it somewhere else because insurance only pays for a job once. But I think the goal should not have been to mostly fix the car, or the get it to a point where the customer can learn to live with it. The goal should be to fix it 100%, especially where the car is only a few years old. I'm disappointed with the experience and the result. 2 stars for the fact that the side view mirror and the body paint were done right, minus the overspray on the tires that I still haven't been able to completely clean off. But I wish I took my car somewhere else and felt like customer satisfaction and quality work was a higher priority. I would have driven much farther to get those things.

He explains what needs to be done, how it will be done, and also gives advice on after care of the paint like washing and waxing. I had three other estimates for the repair and I am glad that I chose Mike. I would most certainly recommend Mike and his many years of auto body repair to any and all! He even did a little extra here and there to make my Chevy Silverado look its best. Thanks Mike!

Mike has in the past fully charged and received money for bodywork not performed. Beware!…read moreYears back I took my car to Mike's after an accident. I dealt with Mike (the owner) directly. Mike had the car shined up and ready to go as promised. He received his payment in full from the ins. co. and I paid him my copay directly when I retrieved the car. This was a $3,000.00 job... let's say ballpark as it was years back. A week or so later I was approaching my car and the sun caught it just right. Unbelievably I could see where Mike did not touch the bodywork he just camouflaged the damage by buffing out the paint. I contacted the insurance adjuster who assessed the damage originally. The adjuster was kind enough to look at the car again after I questioned if a portion of the work had been done at all. After looking at my car again my suspicions were confirmed. I contacted Mike and called his bluff. He reimbursed me the money for the portion of work where he had cheated me. I believe it was $400-500. Because I was local and a single mother, I told Mike that if he reimbursed me I would not report him to the BBB. All these years I kept my word. Years later I am free to leave a truthful review so Beware of Mike's Auto. This business is not trustworthy!
