Dino and Mario are simply the best. I can't imagine a Southern Californian lender offering a better customer experience. When you combine the most knowledgeable, the friendliest, the quickest... the list goes on. So helpful in guiding us along the way and making the home buying experience easier. THANK YOU! read more

Everyone was infor.ative and friendly. The process went smoothly and I would highly recommend.

Our family has been working with Dino and his team for over 1 decade, across multiple company names. Mario and Crystal were hands-on with us for our latest home purchase Spring 2025, and things were moving at light-speed! Whenever there was a seed of doubt, Dino jumped in and provided that personal attention to reassure us and keep us on track. We will continue calling on Ethos and Dino's team for years to come! read more

We cannot express how fortunate we are for the expertise of Mario, Dino and team who successfully guided us through the purchase of our lovely new home after the sale of our home of 24 years. Mario is honest, responsive and accountable. The Ethos team was on top of all the required details to close in a very short timeline. Mario was amazing and locked us into a lower rate during a brief rate drop. We highly recommend Mario, Dino and team! read more

The whole team at Ethos was absolutely outstanding during our first foray into homebuying! Coming in with no experience with the loan/mortgage process, we really did not know what to expect and it all seemed very overwhelming. But working with Ethos made everything smooth and straightforward, and we felt educated, supported, and taken care from start to finish. Mario was incredibly helpful throughout every step of the process, providing us guidance on understanding the real costs and how everything fit together to allow us to properly assess our budget and not have any surprises. He was always responsive to our requests to run the numbers for each new house we were interested in, and he would get back to us with insights quickly and thoroughly. Every single person we interacted with at Ethos was friendly, caring, and seemed genuinely interested in seeing us succeed with owning our first home. We are very grateful for our experience with Ethos, and highly recommend them to any prospective homebuyers! read more

Ethos team was utmost professional and efficient. Their constant communication made me feel like I am their only customer which I know is not the case. Needless to say, I am very satisfied with their services. read more

I had a wonderful and seamless experience with Dino & Tyler. Tyler was always there for me when I had questions. Being a new home buyer at 23 was very nerve racking but Tyler made me feel at ease and always responded to my hundreds of questions. I would DEFINITELY recommend this company to my family and friends. They still send me little packages in the mail like snacks, celebratory champagne, etc. So grateful my realtor Kent recommended Tyler and Dino! read more

Buying a house can be very stressful but if you put your faith in the right hands it all comes together as it should. Can't say enough about everyone at California Costal Loans!! Dino was personally available when we needed him which says a lot. The staff is fast, friendly and efficient. The dedication to service didn't stop when we closed our loan and moved into our home. We periodically got gifts that let us know they were still thinking about us throughout the first year. Above and beyond doesn't describe this class act company. I could not recommend this company highly enough. read more

Totally blown away with the team at California Coastal Loans. They were recommended by my real estate agent and now I know why. This was the smoothest of any home buying process I've ever gone through. Dino's team was on top of everything from Day 1 - and had everything ready well before closing. We had an assigned team right out of the gate so I knew exactly whom to contact about what. Closing costs were very reasonable, they got us a great rate, and everything was handled so professionally from their end - despite a number of hiccups and issues with the "brand name" seller's escrow and title company we got stuck dealing with. Not to mention, as we were out of state buyers there were a number of items we needed education on - they were able to walk us thru the each piece of the process end to end. They truly made our home buying process painless and stress free! Thanks Mario, Kim and Dino! read more

An outstanding confluence of integrity, experience, and efficiency! I found CA Coastal Loans much like you did - reading reviews here on Yelp. Struck by the overwhelming positivity on this page, I scheduled a call with Dino to discuss a refi. Within the first ten minutes Dino recommended a HELOC from a competitor that appeared better for me than a traditional refi. He'd earn nothing from that HELOC other than goodwill for pointing me in the right direction. Not enough people today have this level of integrity & care for their customers! As it turned out the HELOC cap didn't meet my needs and I decided to pursue a traditional refi. I worked with three lenders simultaneously, including CA Coastal Loans. Dino was clearly by far the most experienced and straightforward to work with. In the end he got me the best rate, lowest closing costs, and worked efficiently to get my loan closed. I cannot express in words how fantastic the experience was. Dino's authentic & candid nature comes through in spades, and his expertise is unquestionable. He has earned a customer for life in me and I believe if you schedule a call with him, you'll understand exactly why that is. Thank you to all the California Coastal Loans team + Dino & family. I really appreciate all your efforts on my behalf. read more

We worked with Amy Driscoll of California Coastal Loans, and they don't call her "the closer" for nothing! We purchased our first home earlier this year on a VA Loan. Prior to Amy, all other loan officers were weary of our VA loan, basically shunning us off that we'll never close a home in time to meet the seller's need and would take up to 60 days to close. Well it's their loss because Amy helped us to close in 28 days on a VA Loan! Amy is super sweet, professional and very helpful. She continues to leave a lasting impression on us (which you'll only know if you go though California Coastal Loans!) ;) read more

I just closed on my first home and I couldn't have done it without the amazing team at Ethos! As a first time homebuyer, this process was a bit overwhelming, especially since I was buying on my own, but throughout every step of the way Mario was incredibly friendly and helpful. He was always available to answer any questions and always kept me in the loop. I never once felt like I was left on my own or felt unsure about anything. I especially appreciated Mario crunching the numbers and making videos to present them in user friendly terms. Karina was also amazing in helping with my loan getting processed! Although we had a bump in the road with my first contract due to HOA issues, Mario worked hard trying to find funding and kept me updated the whole time. Thankfully, soon after I was able to find my house with no problems! Overall, I had an exceptional experience working with Ethos and couldn't have asked for a better team. Buying my first home was an intimidating process, but they helped make sure everything went smoothly so that I could have the best Christmas present ever!! read more

Dino and his team are nothing short of amazing!!! Very thorough! Very communicable! Very reliable! And most importantly very honest. I completely trust them, and they made me feel comfortable! Refinancing a mortgage loan can be a stressful and strenuous process. Dino with California Coastal Loans was recommended to me by a very good friend of mine. I contacted Dino and he was nothing but honest and helpful from the beginning. Dino made sure to clarify any questions I had and took the time to sit down with me and go over different scenarios and hypotheticals and how they may impact my loan in both the short and long term. I've refinanced before and that first experience was dreadful. I'm glad I found a mortgage company I can say treated me right and showed a level of care in helping me reach some financial goals. If you're looking to refinance give these guys a try and hopefully they can help you out like they did for me. Best of luck! read more

My wife and I had just the most amazing experience with California Coastal Loans.  They are very efficient, responsive and articulate in their communication - making the whole process very smooth and easy. Right before we closed, we visited their office and discovered how genuine and kind, Dino truly is.  He is not hesitant to share his great knowledge with you and advice, whenever there is a major decision to make.  Not to mention, that he is also a philanthropist,  donating each year and helping out children in need.   He is the guy you can trust, and that is worth more in this world than anything else.  Do not look for any other service out there, because Dino and his team are the best of the best, crème de la crème, one of the kind people, who will deliver you the best result you can ever get. We are blown away by how helpful Dino and team have been through our home loan process. We are first time buyers so it's all new to us. Dino's helped explain things and provided useful info to make the best decisions and to keep the loan process smooth. Also, you're getting far better responsiveness than you'll get with big banks. Dino turned around our pre-approval before the big banks even got back to me to start the process. Easy to work with, responsive, smooth process - highly recommended! read more

Dino, Mario and team went the extra mile for us from start to finish. They helped with advice on enhancing our credit, as well as timing for buying and applying for the loans. They helped us to get the most house we could afford in a very tough market in San Clemente. When we were all systems go to make an offer, and in 30 day escrow, they got it done in 21 days! This allowed us to get some much needed work done prior to moving in. I would highly recommend these guys they actually care about your family and not just making a sale. Thank you to California Coatal Loans! read more

Wish there were 10 stars to rate how AMAZING Dino and his team are!!! Dino put the loan of a lifetime together for my husband and I, that not only saved my mothers home but allowed us to purchase it. We got our Escrow deposit refunded at the end, meaning we just did a transaction with NO MONEY OUT OF OUR POCKETS! Let that sink in... When we met he listened to our circumstances and came back with options. He patiently worked with us, even taking the time to speak on 3 way with our account to make sure the option we were going with would be best for my mother and us. Dino was a referral by a close friend and I can see why she said she trusts him and refers everyone she knows to do business with him and his team. I am not one to just give high ratings to anyone or anything but Dino and his team are the real deal in a world of professionals who will just take your money without even blinking while doing the bare minimum or worse yet, set you up and leave you in a mess. California Coastal Loans has not only earned a lifetime client but a lifelong spokesperson! Oh and a heres a bonus, you get these fun blue boxes throughout your process and the surprises don't stop even when you close! Please, do not pass up this chance to work with an ethical, honest, kind, humorous, knowledgeable and trustworthy team. They are the real deal! Ok, I will stop here because I will keep going LOL. read more

I can't rave about the folks at California Coastal Loans enough!!! Our real estate agent - David Sidoni - recommended Mario and Dino of California Coastal Loans when my family was looking to move into a single family residence, from our townhome in Anaheim. Mario and Dino were responsive, VERY thorough, and super patient with us during the process. They modeled several loans for us and walked us thru the advantages of each one. We felt well taken care of, never rushed, and knew where we were in the process at any given point. Home loans are no joke and having a team that can support you and answer questions is essential and California Coastal Loans delivered beyond our expectations. read more

Dino and his team helped my wife and I get our initial loan with a low interest rate. Over the years he's then stayed on top of it to tell us when we could refinance and end up with an even lower interest rate. We highly recommend them if you're in Orange County looking for a home loan, or someone who can help you with a refinance. read more

Knowledgeable personnel, thorough follow ups and a pleasure to work with. Thanks for making the mortgage process so seamless

When I imagined the hassle and headache that would be finding a lender for a home mortgage I stopped and continued renting because I just knew that it had to be easier than getting a home mortgage. ... Boy was I wrong! My wife and I were recommended to Dino and his team at California Coastal Loans by our realtor David Sidoni and I am beyond ecstatic with the teamwork, communication, and clarity that the two of them provided. David spent the time necessary to help us get the most out of our loan and worked with us to get the best possible deal for our very first home. Dino spent time with us on the phone explaining what the paperwork meant and answered any questions we had with his extensive knowledge and plain English translation of some pretty complicated legalese. Thank you so much Dino for being there for us every step of the way and being our shield to handle the banks for us. You and the team at CA Coastal Loans are amazing and I recommend you 1000% to anyone looking to get a home loan, auto loan, surgery loan, new cat loan, ANY KIND OF LOAN (okay, I don't know if they do some of those things, but you get it!) If you need a loan (for something that they service) GO TO CA COASTAL LOANS!!! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!! read more

No words can express how wonderful the team is. From our initial consult with Dino, working with Mario for all the loan related activities, and the rest of the team that are the back bone of the company. We originally refi with CA Coastal Loan when rates dropped and it was such a smooth process that I asked if they could run numbers on a pre approval on a future home. They gave us a pre-approval quickly so my husband and I knew what we could afford. Finding a home during covid was difficult and frustrating due to various reasons. We placed so many offers and was constantly being turn away due to cash buyer, better offers, or we felt the price of the counter was outrageous for what you got. All I can say is Mario was on top of any request I had. He knew what I needed before I even asked and he replied quickly to any emails even if it was outside of the office hours. You can tell Mario is very passionate to making sure his clients are treated well and respected. He gave us hope when we missed out on a home, and always gave us a positive attitude when it was hard to stay positive. I've never seen any lenders be supportive as CA Coastal Loan. I truly appreciate all the hard work they have done. We finally found our home and it is all because of CA Coastal Loan!! Our offer was not the highest but the BEST because Mario was able to send out the cross reference professionally and in a timely manner. Dino was able to show (via video) the seller we are serious buyer, our financials supports what's on the pre-approval, and the team can close escrow in less than 15 days. Closing on our home was so smooth that sellers agents was shocked and mesmerized on quick and smooth it was. I will be using and recommending CA Coastal Loan on any future homes because they were honest, transparent, kind, respectful, professional, organized, great support structure, and they treat you like family. I truly appreciate it. Thank you CA Coastal Loan!!! read more

This review is long overdue. Dino, Tyler, and their whole team have gone above and beyond in helping me and my fiance through the process of buying our first home together a year ago. They were available for us via phone and email when we had our many questions and concerns. Filling out documents was made easy online which was a big plus since my work schedule is frequently hectic and ever changing. Even after we closed escrow they still kept in touch and let us know when interest rates dropped. They helped us refinance and we couldn't be happier. After everything has been done, they still occasionally send us a little blue "care package" box that let's us know they still are here to help us with any questions or concerns. We have been recommending them to our family and friends. I definitely trust them completely in our home buying and refinancing process. Dino's team was incredibly helpful throughout the whole mortgage process, especially Anthony who my wife and I worked with extensively. Whenever we had questions, Anthony took the time to explain options and terms that we were not familiar with. Through these conversations, we were able to financially ground ourselves in what we could afford as well as what different down payments and rates would look like. Having this support really removed a lot of stress already present in the first time homebuying process especially when there is such a large sum of money involved. Through CA Coastal Loans, we were able to land a dream house in Anaheim Hills for a deal we originally thought was out of our financial reach. I highly recommend this company for anyone looking to take out a mortgage - ethical, flexible, efficient, and responsive. Thank you again! read more

Thanks Robert! Sorry for the late review, but wanted to reiterate what a great representative Robert Van Der Capellen has been for us. We worked with with Robert previously a few years prior and he has consistently provided the highest service, communicating frequently, keeping an eye on the process to ensure it completed as quickly as possible and minimizing the ask and impact to our family. As I mentioned in a prior review, he was always there for questions and reassurance up through the end. I would very highly recommend Robert and California Coastal Loans for your refinance.  It was as painless as the loan process could possibly be (and I work at a bank so know that they can be pretty bad and CACL and Robert were fantastic.) read more

Words cannot express my sincere thanks for such a wonderful team to work with. Not only did California Coastal Loans get me the best deal, it was the extraordinary customer service from the team that made it more memorable. From day one, Senior Loan Officer and Team Lead, Tyler has always been professional and at my side to the very end. When I had questions (several), needed help understanding the process, and to go through my loan documents he never once hesitated to take the time to do so. Fantastic service and great rates! Dino and his team began working with me a couple of years ago, long before I was ready to purchase my first home. As first time homebuyers, my wife and I tried to prepare the best we could for the home-buying process, but we were still pretty overwhelmed with the thought of what was ahead of us. LUCKILY we were connected to Dino and his amazing team at California Coastal Loans who really helped the whole process feel manageable right from the beginning. To start, Crystal made it easy and convenient for us to set up our initial meeting with Dino, and during that first meeting, Dino really took the time to answer any questions we had and to help us feel comfortable with what to expect of the process and the steps ahead. From there, we were primarily working with Mario who would give us detailed spreadsheets for different priced homes that made it extremely clear exactly what expenses to expect, that way there wouldn't be any surprises once we found the house we wanted to put in an offer on. That combined with making the pre-approval process a breeze really set us up to be ready to act fast when the time was right, which turned out to be crucial, and leads me to the next time they came through in a huge way. When we saw the listing for a house we loved, we were able to get on the phone with Dino that morning just to run over everything again and get comfortable with the specifics. We ended up putting in an offer later that day, but it was the following day the the seller's agent wanted to get in touch. At that time, we were in an area with no cell service, and by the time we got service again, everything had already been taken care of. I really believe that their ability to get us set up to act fast, and then be available to instantly work with the seller's agent when needed, was a huge reason if not THE reason we ended up getting our offer accepted. And even after that during our escrow period, Mario continued to answer our many questions with the same diligence, always willing to jump on the phone or send explainer videos to make sure we were comfortable with and understanding the whole process. I honestly can't imagine what buying a house would have been like without California Coastal Loans, and I can't help but feel like we would have missed out on what is now our home. I plan on recommending them to everyone we know, and if you're reading this, you should have no hesitations with working with them, especially if you're a first time homebuyer like us. read more

Take my word on this man and his expertise in the field as well as his integrity. We love his service and appreciate his ability to walk us through the process keeping our best interest in mind. Tyler and Dino were a blast to work with. I first met with Dino in his office and he walked me through what my options are and recommended the best way to go about it. I eventually put looking for a home on hold when I couldn't find anything for the price point Dino suggested I look for. By happenstance, I ran into a property that met my desires. Tyler and Dino worked through the whole process--including getting through some bumps we ran into--in quick order that we actually were able to close escrow 2 weeks earlier than the date we targeted. If you want a broker that will go the distance and recommend what's in your best interest, go with California Coastal Loans. On a side note, if you're the analytical type I suggest you tell them so they know they can just give you all the data good, bad, indifferent. Otherwise, they will do their best to only provide the "important" information; which will make it stress free for most people. read more
