Planned to take a picture before eating but forgot about that when Samboussa was served :-)

Almost perfect! Service was very nice and attentive. Our waiter brought us extra injera without asking and he was so friendly. Our vegan combo which we chose 5 of them(no. 2,4,6,7,10) was super tasty. I love the &string bean the most. We also got sambussa but it looked so oily so I didn't taste it at all. Also got a parking spot right in the front. The only complain was the cleanliness...... the front of the restaurant was so dirty as well as both restrooms.

The food was delicious!! It was also nice to go to a restaurant that had more than the B standard 5 choices. They didn't have tofu tibs which was disappointing. Our server was good but it wasn't clear if we pay from our table or at the counter. It was a little quiet on a Friday night but the food was solid!

The food is good especially the sambusa and the dip it comes with. The portion sizes are great. However, in my last visit, i was a bit disappointed since the menu prices and the actual prices on the bill seem to differ (tax was separate added to the total). When i asked the cashier about it, she had no explanation as to why.

I came here with two of my friends and we ordered two dishes family style, safe to say that the food was more than enough for the 3 of us! We absolutely loved it, and I was surprised to see such a large vegetarian section of the menu, it was very inclusive of dietary needs. The service was also good, we went a quiet/slow time and the waiter was very nice and checked in multiple times with us. The ambiance was also great, it's a very cute restaurant with a lot of nice art pieces.

The food is by far the best Ethiopian I've tried and I've been to several in Oakland, Berkeley, and all over the Bay. Their chicken is cooked to perfection with a variety of juicy and crispy bites and the atkilt wet (green beans and carrots) are a family favorite- even the kids love it! My son goes crazy for their shrimp and their injera is made fresh daily! Cool outdoor area where the kids can be themselves and not worry about disturbing others! Always come back!

The food here is sooo delicious We ordered the ultimate meat and veggie combo. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs! We couldn't finish everything! That was my fault. We didn't eat anything all day and came here after running errands. I loved everything, but i can't finish everything so we are taking the rest home to eat! If you want to try a little bit of everything this dish is a good choice! The place has outdoor seating too. It's clean inside and the waitress was friendly.

Service was very hard to come by, we had to flag the waitress for every thing from napkins to more water and we we're literally the only table there. Lukewarm water also, and again waiting for the check. This was not the best experience for me or my friend for either the food or service. Barely 3 stars.

Each dish was loaded with spices and I'm going to say it again, soooo much flavor. To be honest, we had no idea what to order or where to even start, so we got the sampler that our server recommended and it was soooo good. It was also a fun experience because we got to eat with our hands lol. If you're like us and completely clueless, go with the meat sampler because for $23, you get a HUGE portion and then can figure out which items are your favorites for next time. What we ordered: Meat Sampler ($23) * Doro Wot - spicy, slow simmered chicken stew * Doro Alicha - chicken stew in turmeric-based sauce * Sega Alicha - spicy beef stew * Minchet Wot - minced beef stew * Gomen - stewed collard greens We also got their Sambussas (half lentil and half beef), which were similar to samosas. Both their mocktails and cocktails were really well made too. I loved how they incorporated spices into the drink too, which was pretty unique.  So if you're looking for a fun date night or just to try something new, definitely bookmark this place!

I love Ethiopian food - the bold, rich spices AND the heat gets me feeling all types of way....including heartburn. The East Bay is known for their top-tier Ethiopian and Eritrean food so I'm slowly starting to explore the options here. Plan A: Café Colucci's patio was closed. We headed straight to Enssaro where we were warmly welcomed by the family behind the place, including Coco enjoying her golden years on the couch. F O O D - Requested spicy for all dishes * Kifto: Ethiopian Tartare ($24) IMO Ethiopian tartare over French tartare all day, every day! The finely minced raw beef is mixed with clarified butter and spices, creating a rich, savory flavor that's balanced by the sour tang of injera cutting through the meatiness. Served with ayib (crumbly, mild cheese) and gomen (earthy sautéed greens). Despite not being spicy, it was bomb. * Meat Platter for One ($20) - Doro Wot: Spicy Ethiopian Chicken Stew - Mildly spiced, just wish the drumstick was more tender. - Beg Wot: Lamb Stew - Mild earthy flavor, good for those who are sensitive to spice. - Bere Beef Wot: Spicy Minced Beef Stew - Most flavorful of the three meats, savory with a mild heat. Think Ethiopian bolognese. * Misir Wot: Red lentils cooked slowly w/ Ethiopian spices ($20) Deeply savory with a warm, earthy spice (not spicy). The lentils are nicely broken down to a thick, creamy texture with a bite. Seemed kinda pricey for the portion tho. Platters are served with lightly dressed garden salad and a basket of spongey, tangy injera. S E R V I C E Welcoming, gracious, and attentive. Staff kept our water glasses filled and kindly packed our leftovers. A M B I A N C E Casual, low-key. It was a rare 85 degrees in April day so the covered front patio offered welcome relief.
