My favorite place to get my nails done! They always accommodate walk-ins, and I am never disappointed with the quality and detail to care that I receive from the staff. Prices are entirely affordable, and the place itself is clean and welcoming. In seeing some of the other reviews, I feel like it is not an entirely accurate reflection of my own experiences there. I was gifted a certificate to this salon as a retirement gift, however, in the midst of all the all the other cards, gifts, moving personal belongings from my job, I lost the certificate. The person who gifted it to me, said that the salon had been "highly recommended" by 2 ladies that we know. I called numerous times to speak to a manager, thinking that surely a salon has some sort of record system that they use to record purchases and redemptions of gift certificates. Each time I called I was told that a manager was not available or would call me back. I never got a call back. Finally, one day when my husband and I were in the area, we decided to just stop by and see if a manager was available. When we talked in, the over all "vibe" was not welcoming, perhaps we didn't look like we belonged there...At any rate, when someone asked if they could help me, I politely asked to speak with the manager, if he/she was available. I was directed to an older gentleman who was at the front speaking with another customer. I walked over and waited and when he was done, I asked, "Are you the manager?" to which he replied, "No! What do you want?" Although his tone and facial expression was unmistakably rude, I politely explained what my situation was. He quickly shook his head and told me he couldn't do anything without a certificate number. If I'd had a certificate number, the conversation wouldn't even be necessary. It's just as well. Although I appreciate the kindness of the person who gifted me, I would not want to receive any services from a salon with such rude staff and unwelcoming atmosphere. There are too many nice salons with pleasant staff in this area for me to willingly subject myself to such treatment. read more

I have never been to this business before but thought I would give it a try now that I live close to it. Never again. I made an appointment and apparently, that doesn't mean anything. After waiting almost 25 minutes, I decided to leave, and the owner found someone to at least get the foot spa going. My pedicure lasted 20 minutes--total rush job, not at all relaxing. I'm eager to see how long the polish lasts. read more

I didn't enjoy my experience at ethereal spa because of how my nails ended up. I asked for a french tip nail with red instead of white. My first problem was the base, the part of the french tip is VERY chunky and looks unreal and uneven. Next, was the tip of the nail it's uneven and you can tell she didn't do enough coats. It's dark enough in the edges but in the middle you can see through the color. i'm very unsatisfied and recommend if you go there to get a solid color. I also asked for almond and got almost a square just round a little. read more

The pedicure was great, really thorough and relaxing with a good calf massage from the technician and those remote control massage chairs. The manicure was a let-down, the polish was painted a bit unevenly and it's already chipping on day 5. Save your dough for the pedicure. Ambiance is nice for a girls day out. The space is big and you can usually get chairs next to each other with an appointment. For the price though, 3 stars is all I can muster. read more

The first time I visited this salon my experience was alright. The second time I went the man at the front rolled his eyes at me when I told him the services I needed. I proceeded to write my name down on the wait list then I asked him for a menu with the prices for the services. Best salon experience I have had in Arkansas. New to town and luckily, other reviewers helped me land my new go-to salon on the first try. Ask for Kim!!! She is meticulous and gives excellent massages. Two other people came in and specifically requested her while I was there. Very beautiful and clean salon, very reasonably priced. I got acrylics and the basic pedicure for $60, spent about two hours there, and they even let my fiancé hang out in a massage chair the whole time I was getting worked on. Plenty of chairs and staff, so there shouldn't ever be much of a wait. ETA- I think Kim may have said five words to me the entire time I was there. Personally, I don't like to make small talk while I'm trying to relax, so this was fine with me. I did see the oldest male worker there rush an elderly woman out of the pedicure chair. He threw her purse into her lap and pushed down the armrest her arm was on while she was on the phone. She was scared to get up and mess her toes up, but the man kept insisting she would be fine. My friend and I came in without an appointment in the late morning and received immediate and friendly service. There were several employees without clients so we had the privilege of having our manis and pedis done at the same time. The technicians were quick, gentle, and thorough. Our nails turned out great and we were barely there for a half an hour, including massage and paraffin treatment. Price was reasonable and the place was clean and modern. Great selection of polishes as well. We received the basic packages and still had excellent service. I would definitely recommend. read more

Have had negative experiences the last two times I have been. The first time wrong color dip was applied and I was told "to just call and come back" and it would be reapplied with no Charge. When I went back I was given a $5 discount only after I asked. The second time even though I had an appt. and was told to come 30 mins later than I wanted to, I was rushed through and it was a terrible job! even though I love the atmosphere of this salon, I will try other salons in the neighborhood to try and find someone who cares about doing a good job and appreciates my business! read more

I called and asked to come in for a dip MANICURE at 6 and they said to come. I didn't get paraffin wax, didn't have my cuticles done, no arm massage. He rushed through the dip. I don't know why I am not sold on this place. I got a manii/pedi. My sister and niece got a manicure. Our nails turned out great, and the nail techs were nice, but not very social people. What bothered me was how sterile the environment was. The overall demenour of the place was plain and not a very welcoming feeling. I think that if they seemed a little bit more interactive with us then I think this could have been a 4 star place. When I walked in it started off very well but then everything started going downhill. First of all, they didn't put enough coats on my nails and you could see bubbles and the dip through my nails. Second of all I got French Tips and the color of the tip was fine but the base part was way to pink and it looked so unnatural. Third of all, they cut me while doing my nails and it was bleeding. Also, whenever she saw the cut she apologized but start touching it with a towel that had some type of nail product and made it burn. At another place I went to, I got cut and they gave me a discount but they did not do that at Ethereal. Fourth, whenever I put my hand down on the towel my finger kept sticking from a substance that did not come from my nails. Fifth of all, my nails were so chunky and I do not like the shape. Overall, I did not like this place and have not loved my past experiences here. If you go here I would only recommend getting solid color gel nails. read more

Came to Arkansas for a day and on my way to the airport I needed a manicure. The place is really nice, clean. My nails look great and she was very thorough with my cuticles and cleaning up my nails. But the vibe I got was just a little unpleasant. She started out nice and then was very unfriendly after that. Sadly, my mom and I finally accepted the fact that we can no longer go to this salon for service(s) despite the fact that we really admire a lot of the employed technicians (especially Kim). We kept trying to make excuses (for example, oh maybe we did dishes too often, etc), but after the fourth occasion of having our gel polish start to peel off after less than a week and sometimes in as little as two days, there are no other excuses. After the last set of pedicures and gel manicures that we had applied on the same day, my gel manicure started to peel after three days, my mom's gel manicure started to peel after two days, and there was so much space left between where the nail polish started and my mom's cuticles ended that she was very unhappy aesthetically. My mom actually had to have her gel manicure redone in less than a week at another salon, so that she could go out of town with fully-painted nails. I'm just stuck for two weeks with only two nails left with gel polish on them. Even the one nail that I always need to have filled because of a broken finger incident years ago left with a large notch where there was filler missing as I left the salon. My mom and I are quite shy about confronting people and did not want to complain inside the salon. This salon would be perfect for you if you do not mind your gel manicures not lasting more than a week, and you are severely pressed for time. They apply the gel manicures or take off your old gel manicures while you are having your pedicure done (they will even rush you to sit down as you are trying to pick out a new gel color). This is a very chaotic and hurried feeling and only helps them push more customers through; you cannot relax while trying to hold a gel manicure dryer on your lap as you try to enjoy a massage of your legs during your pedicure and are playing contortionist across your lap, so that they can apply the gel manicure DURING your pedicure to save time for more customers. The experience is just not worth the money. If you are in a rush though, as mentioned, this is the place for you. Plus, they do have a huge selection of gel colors! I've also started to have huge problems with time not being spent to remove all of my extra cuticles. I have my nails done professionally for this very reason. If all of my extra cuticles are not cut off and trimmed, I will pull them and make my fingers bleed at home. I'm very saddened that we have to find another salon, but it is just too extravagant of an amount of money to spend to not have quality, relaxing, and thorough service and to not have that more expensive gel application not last more than a week after we get to our respective homes. Yes, we will not be able to have our gel manicures and pedicures both done in under an hour; however, it is worth the wait to have a lasting and quality service at this point as this has reached a high level of disappointment for both of us. read more

I am torn about Ethereal Spa because I love the atmosphere, location, and Angela, who did my nails and pedis. She does great work!!! BUT, she always made me wait from 10-30 minutes every time I went in, and I had an appointment for a specific time! I work, and free time is not plentiful, so I finally stopped going there ... but have not found anyone else in Little Rock who does as good a job as she does. Still, I'm not going back. read more
