I want to preface this review with it hurt me to write this. I had been going to this place for literally three years at least once a month. Sometimes more. I will be finding myself a new salon after today. I've even brought my family from out of state into this salon but after the lack of quality and care I've experienced on my last TWO visits with them, I'll spend my hard earned dollars on someone who does good work and isn't rude to their customers. So I got a simple gel matte black pedicure and manicure roughly three weeks ago. My polish bubbled and peeled within two days. I chalked that one up to me showering right after I got home(which in hindsight is stupid. That is why I pay for gel. So it doesn't move. ) and everybody has bad days right!? I received this work from the older, balding gentlemen with the really sharp triangular thumb nail that he uses to remove overpaint instead of a towel or a q-tip or literally anything that doesn't scratch his customers but I digress. I returned a week later and got a new pedicure and a set of medium almond acrylic, again matte black. It's my favorite and I've been getting it for years, and I was on vacation so I figured just get rid of the messed up stuff and get a re do. Treat yourself am I right? Wrong. I no sooner than pulling up at my house have bubbles on four toes and my thumb nail. I go back the next evening to get it fixed, google hours were wrong and they close at five on Sunday. The next day was Labor Day so I returned yesterday to get the issues fixed. This is where the fun started. I walk in, politely tell the lady that asked me I just needed some bubbling redone. The staff explodes at each other in their language and it all sounds angry. She just goes SIT and points to a chair. The same guy who did it the previous two times is the same guy to do the repair. He is clearly pissed. Now if it's at me, if this is a reoccurring thing for him and they're mad at that, idk but it was SO uncomfortable and unprofessional. If you want to talk smack or even just be mad at him, do it when customers aren't directly in front of you. Anyway he "fixes" my thumb and just proceeds to slip slap my hand with the towel. Again I've been coming here for YEARS and never been slapped with a towel. Then carefully wipes the table. Why I get slapped and the table gets caressed!? He moves me to a chair and fixes the four toes. No apology. No communication. Just weird passive aggressive anger. It was so unnecessary, uncomfortable, and downright weird behavior at a salon, especially when they always say on bad reviews if you have a problem, just come back we'll make it right. I did that and this was my experience. The pricing also seems to be arbitrary, as sometimes they'd charge me 45 for my pedicure sometimes it would be 55, always the same service requested. I always tip well and am so non confrontational it was difficult to even go in and tell them I wasn't happy with my 120 dollars worth of nails and just wanted them fixed. The thumb nail is STILL bubbling. I won't be back to get it fixed again, I'll just have my next set done elsewhere. Pictures below of the initial set and the "fix". Least the toes held on and cured the second time around. Idk if the polish is old or if he doesn't cure it properly but this is a reoccurring issue here at this salon. He doesn't wipe nail filing off the nails or even let you wash your hands so maybe that's why the work quality is low. I work hard to have the money to get my nails done every once in a while and I don't want someone to spend their once a month budget here and be stuck and disappointed like I am now. read more

Nails bubbled and were not smooth. Chipped right away. Why can't you get a good standard polish anymore?

If you go in here, do not let the older, balding man do your nails. After choosing a color, he came back with the wrong one. When I told him he came back with the wrong one, he rolled his eyes and said it was what I picked. Tried to get a new color but he immediately began painting my nails. I wanted a VERY simple design (thin French tips) and showed him the reference photo several times. He would paint my whole hand without letting me look at his progress. When he would show me the completed product and I had to correct him, he blamed me and said I shouldn't have been "wasting his time." He was so mad at me that he didn't take off excess glue and huffed the entire time about how I was being "a waste of time." Additionally, he did not use gloves and continually scratched his nose the entire time. He didn't use tools to clean off excess polish on my fingers. Instead, he used his long fingernail, and cut my fingers three times in the process. Only giving a second star because the OTHER staff was incredibly kind. read more

I went into the salon and asked how much for an acrylic refill and fix (2 nails). the older gentleman stated that it would be $45 with gel and $35 for a pedi. The final cost was $105!?! They charged an additional $25 for Gel on my toes. I can understand an additional $10 but $25? I will not go back. read more

I went there for the first time today to get a pedi with a friend, who suggested this location. There was no wait and the chairs were comfortable. The lady who did my pedi was nice and did a good job. I decided to also get a mani after my pedi was done. There was no wait for that either, but the guy who did it was really hard to understand and did just an OK job. The corners and edges of my nails got missed in several places. Also a couple of the staff members were coughing and sneezing constantly the entire hour or so that I was there. It was really gross. The prices are average for a nail salon. Overall I'd come back if I was in the area, but I won't go out of my way to get any other services done there. read more

Allure Nails really shines in service and comfort, with a wide range of nail services and generally good execution of nail services. I would go back if I couldn't find an appointment somewhere else because they do a decent job, but cannot highly recommend at this point. Pros: + wide range of services for nails (e.g., shellac, paint, powder) + excellent service (we had an appointment which resulted in no wait time--they do recommend an appt based on their advertising). Staff even moved me to a different chair to sit closer to a friend who ended up there as well. + reasonably priced ($60 for regular pedi + powder mani) + environment consists of a convenient layout, not overly noisy TV or music + clean, from equipment to bathroom Cons: - the smell of nail polish fumes hits you like a wall when you walk in - many of the nail paints looked quite old and unused for awhile - although the nail powder option is nice and advertised as non-toxic (presumably less so than shellac), I assure you that the clear coats of polish used in between each coat of powder are toxic. So, there really is not a comprehensive non-toxic nail option here, except for a few Essie nail polishes (mostly OPI, though). - no readily available drinks, even water read more

My feet are literally pruny from sitting in the water for this long. 5 other customers have just walked out because the wait was too long. My first time here. I just asked for a pedicure when I went in. No one showed me the different services or levels of pedicures so I assumed there was only one offered. I apparently got the basic pedicure and was not Overly impressed. Pedicure felt a bit "assembly line" like. I likely would have paid for a more upscale pedicure had that been offered or if anyone had told me about the different services. My nails were uneven. On the positive - Chairs were nice and atmosphere was nice. However, They barely massaged my feet/legs. I guess if you need a quick pedicure it's will suffice. I may give this place another shot, but plan to try others as well before I decide to pick my "place" to go regularly as I typically get pedis weekly and am used to much more care and service :/ I find it odd when a company reviews itself - which clearly has been done if you look at other reviews. read more

Yesterday was the first time I went to the nail salon and last time I will go. My nails were done so poorly and when I went back to get them fixed, they claimed it was because of the "dry skin" on my hands (when my hands weren't dry at all). This was without a doubt the worst pedicure I have ever had!!! The tools were not clean at all with worn out files and smoothing things. The technician didn't even push back the cuticles and cut them. He also didn't file most of them. I had requested a full set and a pedicure, but by the time I got five minutes in to the pedicure, I had already realized I made a drastic mistake in choosing this salon. When he polished the toe nails, he did it so fast, that it showed lines where the separate polishing layers showed. The polish didn't even cover the nail at all and also fell outside and looked crappie to say the least! I kept trying to tell him that I wasn't satisfied, but I was so dumbfounded by the way he was doing the pedicure, I couldn't even come up with the words. And believe me I tried. He put oil all over my legs and so called "massaged" them so fast. The water was so dirty, my legs felt NASTY by the time he had rinsed the oil in the dirty water!!!! Any way, I would never go back there as long as I live or if he was the last nail technician there was!!!! I left there and went to another salon in the heights (Heights Spa and Nails on Club Rd.) and got the best full set I have ever had. I won't make the mistake of going anywhere else - especially ALLURE NAILS!!!! I wanted to say I refused to pay for such awful service, but didn't have the guts! TERRIBLE customer service! I never, ever write reviews, but these people have ruined my nails SO terribly. I gave them a second and even third chance to redeem themselves, (which in hindsight I realize was a poor decision on my part) and after I very politely told them how my nails were negatively affected by my previous experiences, not only did they not even remotely apologize but continued to be uncourteous to me to the point that I had to show myself out the door (I paid for the manicure, of course, but still I was left unattended for so long I had to just leave). I made an appointment all 3 times I went, and was tended to when it was convenient for them. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel as though the point of scheduling an appointment is to receive priority over walk-in customers, but it was very evident that they have no problem having you sit and wait in a chair for over 30 minutes waiting for someone to remove the acetone soaked cotton balls wrapped in foil. I was having a shellac manicure removed, and they left the foil on my fingers for OVER half an hour ((I made it clear to them I was in a time crunch, and said if they couldn't do it, even though I made an appointment, that I would be happy to come back another time, but they insisted it would take less than an hour [**to get more customers so they can make more money. Quantity over quality seems to be important to them, while it should be vice versa**])) I was there for an hour and 34 minutes while they tended to other walk-in customers, seemingly in no particular or orderly fashion, which caused all of my nails to be brittle to the point of complete chipping and breakage. One of the selling points of shellac manicures is that they supposedly do not chip, and somehow every single one of my nails was chipping within days. Again, I am not one to complain or write negative reviews (this is my first one ever) but I was so dissatisfied with with the service received that I felt compelled to do so. RUDE PEOPLE!
