I have used them as a provider for four months, but I'm breaking up with them today…read more 1. They were nice enough in my first visit, but scheduled my appointment with a doctor who told me during our visit that he was quitting. Why would they place a new patient with a therapist who was leaving? 2. They are incessant about their TMS option. When I told them that the approximate $4,000 (!!!) cost was way out of my price range, they "discounted" it down to $1,000 magically, and repeatedly called me to schedule an appointment, even though I told them that was still too expensive at this time. 3. They have required a monthly visit the first four months, even though I was seeing my previous therapist once every six months for a condition I've had under control for 4+ years. 4. On this last visit, I was told by the provider that it would be two months until my next visit, and wrote me a prescription for 60-days instead of 30-days. 5. I was randomly assigned an appointment for today, one month after my last appointment. I did not schedule it, I did not ask for it. 6. Their office charged me $75 for a no-show appointment this morning. 7. The front desk receptionist, who obviously hates her job, told me that I was wrong about my appointment date, the follow-up date, and had no response when I asked why I would be scheduled for a 30-day check-in when my therapist wrote me a 60-day prescription. Seems to me like one of those groups that is taking advantage of the mental health provider shortage by treating their patients like cattle, nickel and diming them along the way. I've already opened a credit card dispute, but wanted to hop on here to warn everyone that this may be a good short-term solution if you are in desperate need of an appointment immediately, but find a solid practice with ethics and morals for the long-term.

During our sessions, I feel that she carries herself in a very welcoming and chill positive vibe, which I love about her. Ariel has always been so accommodating and flexible when scheduling an appointment to meet with her. I am also appreciative when she gives me a confirmation text before we meet the next day even though I have it in my calendar already. It's definitely those little things that matters! Honestly, it was really hard for me to understand and tell myself that I needed a little help, mentally. I was terrified in reaching out to any therapist, but I'm so glad I reached out to Ariel! I love how I can freely have a conversation with her without any judgement, move from topic to topic, and know that she can keep up with my thoughts and emotions plus help me sort it all out. I have shared some heart felt, deep and meaningful conversations with Ariel that I'm so relieved to be able to get it off my chest. I definitely feel that since our first session in June, Ariel has been by my side to help me open up, grow, heal, and learn to love and accept myself. She literally my cheerleader supporter but more chill vibes than perky haha. It really means a lot and I'm so proud of the progress we have made so far. From my very first conversation with Dr. Nicole, she made me feel comfortable. She took the time to tell me about herself, asked thoughtful questions about my daughters, and really wanted to understand their personalities and needs. What I appreciated most was how personal and collaborative the process felt. She took the time to get to know both me and my girls, and we worked together throughout their journey. I could share things going on in their lives that might help guide conversations during sessions, and she was always supportive and understanding. She was also incredibly flexible and helpful with our constantly changing schedules. Most importantly, both of my daughters genuinely enjoy their sessions with her and feel connected and comfortable talking with her. I'm so grateful that she has been a safe and open door for them as they've grown up -- especially through big milestones like one of them graduating. I've truly been able to see positive emotional growth and maturity in both of them. As an added bonus, she was able to work with our Kaiser insurance, which made the process even easier for our family. We missed our last appointment because my mom had to go to the ER for shortness of breath. We've been seen there for at least three months without any medication changes, and this isn't a new medication. I asked if we could get about six or ten pills until her appointment or if we could put a message in the pharmacy for them to hopefully get a hold of them. This is near impossible, so now we're told that we have to wait until our phone appointment on Friday, the 23rd. She did move the appointment up, which I'm grateful for. Maybe tomorrow when she calls back, she'll try to get it sooner. There was minimal interference with my phone because it was down and I was using my boyfriend's phone. However, it's unacceptable that they haven't helped us get these medications filled for this long. The lady on the phone kept repeating that we missed a call from them yesterday to get the appointment moved up and that we missed our last appointment. I apologize for taking my mom to the emergency room, but I missed that call. Life happens. Unfortunately, my boyfriend didn't have their number in his phone and didn't recognize the number, so I don't know if it went to voicemail. We never received that message. Now it's $938.70. This company is insane. I cannot recommend enough not doing business with them or you will be dealing with them for years. A Nightmare with Discovery's Billing and Leadership While my son's medical treatment was acceptable, my experience with Discovery's administrative and financial departments has been an unmitigated disaster. For nearly two years, I've been relentlessly trying to get them to submit a claim to my son's secondary insurance. Despite countless emails and phone calls, I've been met with an endless cycle of excuses, including claims of missed emails, misdirected communications, and empty promises of escalation and follow-up within 24 hours--promises that were never fulfilled. This gross incompetence has resulted in me paying approximately $3,000 out of pocket. To compound this frustration, Discovery inexplicably sent a fraudulent charge of over $400 to a collections agency. When I disputed this erroneous claim, the collection agency itself confirmed that Discovery verified the amount was invalid and ceased their collection efforts. It's clear that Discovery's insurance billing, accounting practices, and overall leadership are severely dysfunctional. Their operational failures have caused significant financial strain and immense personal frustration.
