The only reason we visited this spa was because we were given a gift card to it. From booking to…read moretreatment, everything was just lacking. We had an extremely difficult time booking an appointment. It took about a month of calling before we finally got someone on the phone. We booked the "Couples Prestige Pedicure" which is advertised as taking 70 minutes. My fiancé's pedicure was 45 minutes and mine was just under an hour. Overall, my pedicure was very minimal--very little callous/dry skin removal. She applied exfoliating scrub, but just quickly and gently pushed it around before washing it off so it was pointless. An hour after my pedicure, I checked my heels and they were still dry/cracked. My fiancé's pedicurist did a better job--she is the only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1. After tax, the total for the two pedicures was $215. They did not allow us to use our gift card to tip, even though we had just the right amount left on it, which seems ridiculous. The store shouldn't require you to supplement with your own cash when you've received a gift! Even if you can afford a $100+ pedicure, I don't know why you would choose to get it done here. Your run-of-the-mill strip mall nail salon will do a much better job with better results for 1/3 of the price.

This spa has been voted 'best spa' in Waterloo and area - and hands down - they truly deserve it…read more Although their services are quite pricy, it's well worth it, as immediately after you walk in, you feel completely relaxed and taken away to some beautiful, blissful place. After being greeted, I changed my shoes for a pair of sandals and changed into a bathrobe. Then, I soaked my feet in lavender scented warm water with rose petals, while sitting on comfy pillowed seats. They checked to make sure the temperature was right. Alas, after a few minutes, my massage therapist greeted me and guided me to a private, candle lit room for my massage. My goodness, the massage was heaven! I've been there twice, and every since, I've become highly opinionated about how my massages should feel like. It's truly hard to find good masseuses, and The Waters hires the best. Upon leaving, I also completed an anonymous survey. They take their customers' feedback very seriously. During my second visit, I noticed they implemented my suggestion. I haven't found a spa as great as this one - truly, you are getting what you pay for. I've been to cheaper spas, and it's not the same experience. Too bad it's so far away from me :(

If you're in the mood to get a bunch of hair ripped out of your body this is the place to go. I…read moredon't think the amazing customer service and relaxed environment could be put up against any other establishment in this city. When you make an appt at the spa it feels more like catching up with a friend then having some maniac remove hair. The prices are great and competitive, as are the services but the kicker is the epitome of customer service I can't attest to everyone but i never thought my stomach would hurt from laughing during a brazillian! Do yourself a favor and check out this establishment

Horrible service. The manager is extremely rude and unprofessional. I always get shellac manicure…read moredone and am familiar with it. I got shellac manicure done at this salon and it got chipped in less than 24hrs. When i went back (in less than 24hrs) to get it fixed the manager was very rude and the aesthetician (Natalie) put the wrong color and the chip is visible. When i asked them to remove it completely so that i can get it done somewhere else and they can keep the money for the service if they want. In response the manager asked me to leave. I am hoping the salon will have the decency to contact me and apologize. I have pictures of the mess made, if the owner would like to see it. I would highly recommend the other salon called Natural Solutions, also in the mall.

I found this gem in Fairview Mall about a month ago. I went to see Wonder Woman at the Cineplex VIP…read moreacross the street, but it was sold out (surprise, surprise). I was overdue for a manicure and when I googled what was still open in the middle of the week at 8:00pm, this was the closest one. They were gracious enough to fit me in and Bri took very good care of me. Yesterday, I went for waxing, manicure and pedicure. Again, they fit me in with short notice and my daughter as well! I was reminded why I came back. The spa is tucked away at the very back of the salon, hidden by frosted glass. It is serene, with muted lighted and relaxing music. The pedicure area reminds me of a Roman bath with the tile and cushions. Maha and Tacita were wonderful and attentive, both very fun and talented ladies. I especially appreciated Tacita who gave extra attention to my (very shy) daughter's feet, with very patient exfoliation and an extended foot rub. Maha has a very gentle touch, and when she massaged my hands it was the perfect end to a long day. I will admit that I gravitated to the Asian nail salons in the past based on price. I must say that the prices at Tonyc are not that much higher and can be the same if they are running a special. The products used are not harsh and the air does not have the pervasive solvent smell so common in many nail salons. Definitely worth the little extra $, and this is coming from a certified penny pincher. We'll definitely be back!
