The issue? There's an insane amount of information and it's hard to determine what works for one curly haired girl to the next. What I did learn though was that there are salons specifically catered to curly clients. I got to googling and found Ellenoire in my area. My first visit was a virgin cut where I learned so much about the dos and don't specifically for my curly hair. I walked away with all new products that I love and have helped my hair drastically and now I know hot to take care of my specific hair. I got a bunch of compliments and was able to share my new knowledge with others. It is an interesting salon. Not only are they often upgrading and adding to their training, they are also teaching new and upcoming stylists techniques in a working environment. Each stylist takes the time to consult with their clients to get a good idea of what they are looking for. They clearly explain what they are doing as they go along. They are very very good with customer service. If you are not happy, go back and they will fix it without attitude. They genuinely want to make it right. It is midrange in price. Not inexpensive but not crazy either. The only criticism I have (and this is for most salons) is charging for blow drying. It is in the stylists' best interest to check the cut /colour when the hair is dry. Unless it is a fancy blow dry or another unique circumstance it shouldn't be an additional cost on top of a cut and colour. Other than that, I would highly recommend Fringe.

I looked at the messages to confirm 3 people were booked. During the appointment, kristina left several times to attend other clients, which was frustrating, especially for a bridal trial that dosent require any pauses to let thing "set" so styling my hair took longer than necessary. I did not feel like a priority during my appointment, which is extremely frustrating and concerning as this was an appointment for my bridal hair. I showed her a photo of a sleek, small bun and made it very clear that I wanted something small simplistic and pulled back as I don't like anything large.(see photo 1) The result was extremely disappointing as it was a large, messy style bun. (see photo 2-4) When I brought this up she said my hair was the issue but only after she had already done the wrong style. I was very open to cutting my hair if needed and gave many opportunities during the appointment to set my expectation that we won't be able to achieve the hairstyle that I was hoping to achieve. I did also let her know the reason I was here today was because I had my bridal shower that evening and wanted to have my hair done for that. After a second attempt for my hair, it was closer to what I wanted, but still not right. By the time I drove home (just 20 minutes), the second hairstyle was already falling apart so much so I ended up having to wash my hair and redo it for my evening event. (see photo 5-7) In addition, my mother and mother-in-law were also unhappy with their styles. After emailing my concerns and giving her a better understanding of why I no longer felt comfortable or confident proceeding with her services, and requesting a refund not of the work she did but just the deposit for the wedding hair (especially given the ample time before my wedding), she refused a refund and only offered a partial gift card that had so many restrictions including: non-transferable, only toward salon services, expiring December 2026. Overall, this salon was poorly managed, unprofessional, had poor communication and an inability to follow client inspiration. I would not recommend them for bridal or any services.

Ended up with hair curled with a straightening iron and hairsprayed to death that looked terrible, and lasted maybe half the night. The entire appointment was 15 minutes, but cost like $70. I wish I had just done it myself at home. Second experience was horrible too. Received the worst haircut of my LIFE from the hairdresser. I asked for about 2 inches off, she took 6. and not even taking time or care with the cut, literally hacking off my hair in huge snips (that she had to correct later- leaving my hair even shorter) so I couldn't even stop to let her know it wasn't what I wanted. I'm not sure how she, a "hairdresser", was okay with the finished product because it looked TERRIBLE. once again this appointment was like 30 minutes- got an uncomfortable "soothing" scalp massage and then a careless, sloppy haircut. the haircut ended up being insanely expensive too, when I definitely could've gotten a way better cut for like $6 at great clips. honestly left me so upset and ruined my entire week/month- however long it takes for my hair to grow out. HIGHLY recommend you never ever go here. hair dressers don't put thought and care into their work, and it is incredibly overpriced for the service you're getting. you can definitely cut or style your own hair way better at home after watching some youtube tutorials, because clearly that's the only qualification necessary for willow stylists.
