It was really easy to get in to have the estimate and the repair. They were really flexible with the timing, which helped because my schedule has been hectic lately. Someone was always available at the desk. They are incredibly knowledgeable & answered everything I needed to know about this repair & some questions I was wondering about the car in general. The whole crew there is very friendly too. Also, if you have USAA, it's also a lot easier than dealing with another shop because they're linked & then they just get paid by them directly. You don't have to worry about any paperwork or photos or whatever. They do everything & they'll keep your records from past repairs too. Their work is also guaranteed. I can't remember the technical details of the guarantee, but what happened in my case was that there was something seemed to have gotten overlooked in a past repair at a different Gerber from an accident a few months ago. So, I went back. They looked at it & took care of it right away. There wasn't any back and forth about "did we really overlook this or is it a new issue" type of thing, but the technician was very seasoned & smart - so I think he realized it happened during the accident & worsened. We went through 3-4 iterations where they only discovered a new necessary part after we had already waited weeks for the previous one. Most concerningly, they tried to convince us to accept mismatched struts on a brand-new truck. We had to repeatedly push back to ensure the vehicle was actually restored to its original state. He explained the process to me & what to expect. In addition, they guarantee their work. Both John & Andy are the liaisons between the accidentee (that was me) & the insurance claims adjusters. Since you would need a car rental after you drop off your car, they will contact them for you & have them pick you up. Great customer service. Other claims adjusters are so impressed with the staff here--- they wish every other body shop employees are like John & Andy. That means something. Unfortunately, I had to come back to Allanson's two times more. In unfortunate circumstances but they walk you through it. They are opened 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (excluding holidays). This business has been here for years -- since 1978. If you find yourself in an unpredicted, unplanned & unfortunate car accident that requires repairs, I hope you consider Allanson's.
