Estilo Campo Restaurante is an Argentinian steak restaurant located in the Puerto Madero section of beautiful Buenos Aires, Argentina. I chose this restaurant because of its numerous high ratings on several review sites. We arrived at 8:30pm for our reservation at an empty restaurant. Apparently the locals don't eat until later in the evening and sure enough by the time we left, around 10:30pm, the restaurant was pretty packed. We began with some cocktails while we waited for our appetizers. The cheese, meat and veggie plate came out first with a delicious dip in the center. It came with a generous basket of various types of bread. The second course of appetizers came out starting with the gambas, aka shrimp. They were sauteed in a garlic tomato sauce and were tasty. The star appetizer was surprisingly the fried provolone cheese. It was absolutely delicious. I would go back just for that! For my main, I ordered the tomahawk ribeye steak. It was about $30. It was huge but manageable and was cooked perfectly to my taste, medium rare. I asked for sauteed onions, which was not on the menu, but they made me some very nice grilled sliced onions, which did the job. Extra points for not saying NO and being creative. Gustave, our server was super helpful and friendly, guiding us along the way with our menu choices. He even lit my sambuca on fire after he poured it for a little extra flair! The food was extremely well priced. We did have two bottles of local Malbec which contributed to about half the price of the bill ($160 of $320 total bill for 3). Had we not ordered wine and cocktails, dinner for the 3 of us would have been just over $100. Where can you get an amazing steak and meal for about $100 for 3 people? Overall, it was a very nice meal and experience. I will definitely go back again next time I am in town.

I typically love this place & have been here multiple times, but tonight it was a complete failure. The staffing exceptional here & I don't mind spending a little more for a meal that is wonderful but tonight was a different story. For a steakhouse to not know how to cook steak is just ridiculous & sub par. I ordered a tomahawk steak cooked jugoso but was it came out cooked medium. They apologized and cooked another one and served it blue. Rare. I gave up and decided just to take it home and finish cooking it myself. I'll try this place another time, maybe mine was just cooked by a new guy.

We are going on a cruise out of Buenos Aires and met one of our members family at this restaurant for dinner. We were a party of 12. We had a soup to nuts meal. We had a terrific Malbec. The food is different but very good. Excellent desserts!

The ribeye steak is the best I've ever had! Wine was perfectly paired. Waitstaff was cute and fun! Really fun night!!

Amazing experience. Really enjoyed the pit grill and great service/location. We had two meat grills and one veggie grill and a bottle of wine for two. It was absolutely a steal at $80 USD. Same meal would've cost us $200 USD at home.

This is a restaurant for meat eaters. Every meat eater in our group really enjoyed their their meals but the vegetarians not so much. Bread and accompanying sauces/spread are good. Grilled vegetables are divine. Ice cream is delicious. But to my fellow vegetarians out there - do yourself a favor and don't order the risotto or pasta. There seemed to be something very wrong with the risotto and the pasta was just overall very bland and boring.

While this place has been here since 1962, the first time I came was in 1993. I love it here because it is a classic, old-school restaurant, between the decor, the waiters and the grill as you walk in. The service has gone downhill a bit over the last couple of years, but I find that if you connect with your waiter when you finally get him to your table, he will check on you more often. They have a great wine list as well. The steaks are some of the best I have had, and I love that they bring your steak on a steel plate over a charcoal fire- do not let them take the grill- I love putting the fat on there to render away and then ladle it over my steak- so much better than butter! The fries are to die for, as is the Morcilla- so good and creamy- if you like that! I am usually too full for dessert, but I recently had their ice cream- so good and creamy!

Thank goodness for Goggle Translate, we were able to fully understand the menu and communicate with our waiter. The restaurant is very authentic and has an open grilling area for client viewing. Order ribs and the wife ordered chicken. The meals came with fries. Both meals were excellent. They accepted credit cards.

You can just eat it the way it is without any ketchup or A1 steak sauce! The flavor was good! Then we also order their Argentinian ribs, it's really short ribs, I was kinda surprised when it was served to me, very happy with the thickness and the taste, the flavor was more intense than the steak! Very tender indeed! The meat empanada was delicious and cheap (about $1.15 USD) for 1, just big enough for us to try! The service was great, our waiter took time to explain everything to us in ENGLISH! He spoke perfect English! They also gives you a basket of bread as soon as you sit down, no charge of course!

FOOD - Not the best steak ever, but still good. My friend had the chicken and it actually looked better than my steak! Although, I didn't pay the big bucks for the more expensive steaks. As for the sides, all good. SPACE - Very clean and well together. For a Friday night it was surprisingly quiet with only about 10 people in the place... but I am guessing this may be bc it is "downtown." SERVICE - Very friendly, attentive, and sweet. Overall, this place fit the bill for our steak & wine dinner if you want to have good value. For wine, steak, and a side I know I paid maybe 25usd. If you are looking for a steak & wine dinner experience to rave about though... I would actually recommend elsewhere!
