(My husband had a business meeting), The inside of the restaurant was empty and I sat in a nice table. had a roll (delicious) and a young,dirty, crazy looking homeless walked in. He talked to the cashier and to Ignacio the waiter for 5 minutes and they sat him in the table right next to me. I felt scared and nervous, but who am I to judge who can sit at a restaurant. I had my purse next to me on the chair and got distracted with my phone. 10 minutes latter the man walked out of the restaurant WITH MY WALLET with all my credit cards, money, hotel name and passport copy.....needless to say that they where in this toguether. Fortunately,My superb hotel sent a chofer to pick me up, pay the bill and "rescued" me. I spent the rest of my Argentinian stay angry and scared.

It's a cute little spot with a small sushi bar, seating for maybe eight people. Mostly it's takeout and delivery. I'm also fond of it because although the selection is somewhat limited, the quality is always excellent, and the pricing isn't near as steep as others (like the above). Here, five pieces each of nigiri salmon and sole, plus a ten-piece creative prawn, avocado, tamago (egg) roll, and it came in at a grand total of 410 pesos (the nigiri alone, think about it, ten piece in total with rice, versus the 10 pieces above of sashimi without, came in at about 60% of the price). My one disappointment in the place is that they used to offer a moriawase of both sushi and sashimi - a mixed selection, rather than having to order five pieces of each kind - but apparently it's too much work to slice one piece each of five different fish rather than all the same one....

If you're going to pay a high price for sushi, I would go to Osaka there instead. It is not very far from this restaurant.

While this place has been here since 1962, the first time I came was in 1993. I love it here because it is a classic, old-school restaurant, between the decor, the waiters and the grill as you walk in. The service has gone downhill a bit over the last couple of years, but I find that if you connect with your waiter when you finally get him to your table, he will check on you more often. They have a great wine list as well. The steaks are some of the best I have had, and I love that they bring your steak on a steel plate over a charcoal fire- do not let them take the grill- I love putting the fat on there to render away and then ladle it over my steak- so much better than butter! The fries are to die for, as is the Morcilla- so good and creamy- if you like that! I am usually too full for dessert, but I recently had their ice cream- so good and creamy!
