She made me feel at ease whereas having four wisdom tooth extractions would have been traumatic to anyone just thinking about the procedure really gave me a sense of trust. Dr. Talwar is awesome! She's one of the top prosthodontists in Northern Virginia. If you want a beaming smile, she's an expert. I've never been a fan of going to the dentist, but she made sure I was comfortable and relaxed throughout every visit. I've always been petrified of dental work. I came here on the recommendation of a current patient. I needed a tooth pulled. Dr Bhattia was wonderful. He got the job done with ZERO PAIN. His wife did my fillings and such with the same result; NO pain! They are gentle, thoughtful and considerate. I have major dental anxiety so I waited way to long to go to the dentist. I chose to find a dentist that could perform my work while I was sedated. Dr. Talwar and her team are amazing. I felt like they treated me like I was a family member. I felt like everything was explained to me in detail. They made sure I was comfortable with everything. The dental work went much better than I thought. I took pills the night before and then took additional pills in the office the day of the procedure. I was awake for the whole thing but I did not know what was going on. The next day I had no pain (just slight discomfort) which was amazing for the amount of work the dentist did. The work I got done was great. However, let me explain my situation. I was admitted to the hospital with sepsis due to an infection in my teeth. After discharge, I was told to go to the office to schedule all of the oral surgery I needed. I went straight there after getting out of the hospital (I didn't want to wait and have to be re-admitted) and instead of addressing the main reason I was there it was treated like a first patient visit. I got in touch with the surgeon recommended and had what I needed done, and went back to this office to start on routine dental care. I think my price was quoted around the price of a new car (which I can't afford). I got two fillings done and the work was fantastic. HOWEVER, eventually I got bills and long story short they called me and I made a payment arrangement with them (I had given my credit card number to them and was told what they would be taking out each month). I thought it was taken care of. To my surprise, a bill collector starts calling me and my WORKPLACE repeatedly saying I owed this place money. The work done is great, if you are in a great financial spot. I will not be going back because I can't afford what I was quoted and the payment debacle really left me with a bad taste in my mouth. read more

I was happy until they made a partial for me, the fake tooth was the wrong color and fit poorly, than they gave me a treatment plan to repair my whole mouth. they wanted more than $13,000.00 to do everything. because I thought that was excessive I went to 2 other dentist for the same treatment, One was a specialist and wanted $7,000.00 and the other was a general dentist and wanted $5,700.00,witch I went with. I know everyone charges different rates, but more than DOUBLE? Nice people but I would never go there again. Just because you live in Ashburn doesn't mean you can afford to pay double for services.... Not to mention they way over charged my wife's insurance company, then stated it was an error.... Dr. Talwar refused to do my periodontal maintenance because I would not get done what she specializes in and is very expensive for me (patient) to get it done. She wanted me to get cosmetic dentistry done to fix my teethes' alignment which I am not ready to get it done now and I don't need to get it done now. She put her needs, requirements, and comfort above mine. I will not recommend her to anybody as I find her money driven and un-courteous and disrespectful and non-understanding and pushy on the treatments she wants to do, not about the treatment/s patient needs. read more

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Talwar and her team. My father had been having trouble with his dentures and it had resulted in TMJ and he had grown weary of dealing with the problem. Dr. Talwar was incredibly patient with him in explaining the problem and working with us to get it corrected. He is now no longer in pain and much more comfortably. I raved about the level of service so much that my mother has also become a patient of Dr. Talwar and is receiving the same exceptional care. The staff are polite and courteous and helpful. I embarked on the long and somewhat complicated odyssey of a "full-mouth restoration", i.e. replacing all my teeth with implants and accompanying prosthetics (dentures). Due to the condition of my teeth and gums, the oral surgeon I originally went to felt the need to call in Dr. Talwar of Esthetique to consult on the best course of action for the placement of the implants and options for dentures. I have to say I couldn't have done better. It was clear to me from the start that not only were these folks top-shelf as far as skill and knowledge, but everyone, especially Dr. Talwar, were kind, welcoming, and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable with and understanding of the options and process ahead. At no time did anyone try to sell me anything I didn't want or understand. They were very upfront with costs and even gave me a discount for paying upfront. We are about 2/3 the way through the process and Dr. Talwar has gone out of her way to consult repeatedly with my oral surgeon and adjust the process as needed. When the oral surgeon removed all my bottom teeth (a long surgery due to some peculiarities regarding my situation), Dr. Talwar was there at his office the entire day with one of her staff to consult and be available to place the temporary denture. I have seen her number of times since for various reasons and have never been asked for any additional money and have always received the same kind attention as at first. So far I have temporary dentures (not ones you take out at night) on the bottom and upper left and they look terrific. My smile went from ugly to beautiful. If you are in need replacement of part or all of your teeth, talk to Esthetique. I think you will be pleased with them. read more

The extraction of my wisdom teeth by Dr. Bhatia, the oral surgeon selected by the Frederick, MD, branch of Esthetique Dentistry, was a nightmarish experience at best. They gave the nitrous oxide no time to take effect; the minute the mask was snapped over my nose (the process of which was done rather roughly I might add), they shoved a giant needle up the roof of my mouth four or five times. The pain was extreme, and this is coming from a girl with a background in gymnastics who engages in painful stretches for hours at a time. I have quite a high threshold for pain, and this had me crying like a baby (which, by the way, made it that much harder to breathe through my nose to receive the nitrous oxide). I was completely lucid during the entire procedure, and I remember every detail down to the songs that played on the radio stationed nearby. I felt like a subject of the Spanish Inquisition; just recounting the experience elevates my heart rate and brings me to tears. Now, I have only done this the one time, so perhaps this is the typical teeth extraction experience? But judging by the hordes of assuring "It's really not bad at all"s that I heard prior to the surgery, I'm guessing not. I personally plan on never returning to this dentist. read more
