Shipment has been in their possession since Sunday night (it's now Thursday afternoon). Was told Tuesday I would hear from someone today. No communication. Called and requested status and was told they couldn't get ahold of dispatch because it was after hours so they will check tomorrow and call me. How do you receive the shipment over the weekend and four days later not communicate with the customer? Awful service. I feel sorry for anyone who has a shipment through this carrier. UPDATE: Treadmill was delivered the next evening after being told in the morning it would be another 24-48 business hours to process everything. No phone call to schedule the 4-hour delivery window, no required signature (I was supposed to sign for it). Just dropped it off at the side of the driveway, partially on the lawn. I'm reasonably strong and it took three people to drag it into the garage - where I would have asked them to set it had they actually scheduled the delivery as they were supposed to. They made no attempt to knock on the door to see if anyone was home (we were) and sent a text saying they delivered it long after they left. Dispatch was apologetic and owned the mistake, but that really isn't the point. Common sense didn't prevail. If you get a tracking number for this company, say a prayer. read more

I was scheduled for a patio furniture pickup (a Walmart return) last Thursday between 2-6pm. They never called. Never showed. I had to reach out to them to find out what happened. No apology, just a reschedule for today. Well, today came and went--again, no call, no show. I had to chase them down again only to be told (after the pickup window had long passed) that "the truck broke down" and they rescheduled me for tomorrow. No one bothered to call and tell me that. This company called me the day of my delivery and said they were missing paperwork and couldn't deliver my treadmill. Said they needed to investigate this and it might take a few days. Then they turned around and marked my item as delivered at the end of the day and updated their system saying I signed for it. Nothing has ever been delivered, and they just continually say they are investigating and will get back to me and keep pushing the timeline out of change what they're looking for. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. EFW is hands down the WORST delivery company I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with -- and I've dealt with some disasters, but this takes the crown. Their tracking system said my package was "in transit" for DAYS. I waited, refreshed, checked again -- nothing changed. So I called... and guess what? THEY NEVER EVEN RECEIVED THE PACKAGE. Are you kidding me?! How can it be "in transit" when it doesn't even exist in your system?? Customer service was a complete dumpster fire. I spoke with three different people who all gave me vague, robotic responses like "we're not sure" and "you'll have to check back later." One even had the audacity to say, "It happens sometimes." EXCUSE ME? This isn't a spilled coffee -- this is a missing shipment! EFW is completely unreliable, unprofessional, and clearly overwhelmed. This company wins the award for worst customer service. I had a broken furniture item from target that is still awaiting a pick up after 4 scheduled attempts with zero contact or follow up. Today we rescheduled yet again through their website. When no one showed up we called and was told my a supervisor "they don't pick up in your area on Mondays." Why would I be able to schedule a pick up for a Monday if they don't pick up Mondays and why wasn't I contacted about this? My husband spoke with a supervisor who was not helpful either. She shared our item could be picked up the next day, so we will see if EFW follows through. We have waited around for now 3 separate dates for this item to be picked up... I have screen shots of the confirmed pick up times but the company claims they don't have anything on file. I hope Target takes their business elsewhere for a shipping partnership. read more

UPDATE: EFW contacted me per my previous feedback, they said they were concerned and want to find out the problem.. It is now Dec 19, Nothing from that after their email. Not a followup, nothing with my sofa moving or shipment information. They have never contacted me back or again, just absolute garbage from EFW.. Just and FYI. Cost is working on it now but not getting very far with EFW. The manufacturer has still not been followed up with by EFW even though they ship hundreds of items with them. Then it does not do anything so I call them, they tell me it will be in destination city and they will then contact me for a delivery time of day, so it arrives in destination city, I schedule a time. I order a treadmill which was being shipped through EFW and after reading all of the reviews on here I was really worried. I am happy to say that everything went great with my shipment and delivery. I ordered the treadmill on November 23, 2020 and it was delivered yesterday December 2, 2020. I received a call from the driver stating they would be at my home in 10-15 minutes and they were there in about 5 minutes. The box was much larger then I was anticipating but they had no problem helping me out. Both guys were very nice and professional. I'm also happy to say that with the exception of a little tear on the box there was no damage done. read more

We ordered a treadmill and it was delivered through EFW. We were told that we would be called when the treadmill was to be delivered. We were also told with that call a delivery window would be provided. Instead, the delivery person showed up UNANNOUNCED, rang our doorbell once, and we were both at work. It was a day earlier than what we had agreed on. They then proceeded to just dump the 300 POUND TREADMILL at the bottom of our front steps. We could not get the box up the stairs. We had to rip it apart, carry it in piece by piece, and still almost didn't get the base of the treadmill into our house. I don't know why the person who chatted with us told us we would be called to establish a delivery window and BLATANTLY LIE ABOUT IT. It took us over an hour to get the treadmill into our home. Estes was going to make a delivery from Sams club on Memorial Day weekend. I was going to be out of town so I called them back and they answered right away. I asked to reschedule the delivery to the following Wednesday and they said sure no problem. They called before arriving within the start of their delivery window and delivered the package exactly where I asked them too. He was also going to offer to put it inside but I said no it's fine to stay in the drive way. He hauled away the large pallet and was gone in no time. Such an easy and painless delivery. read more

I ordered a griddle from Sam's Club. On 7/15. I got a notification saying the order was delivered. I checked my house and my Ring cameras but there was no delivery or delivery vehicles anywhere close to my house. After a few hours, I called customer service. After 1 hour of Sam's customer service talking to their dispatcher they changed the status to delivered to our for delivery and said it would be here on 7/17 by 5 PM. Come 7/17, t was not here. They tried to claim it was delivered on 7/15 but would not provide the delivery address. They said they didn't know what happened. I'm pretty certain one of the delivery drivers has a nice brand new 5 burner gas griddle at his house! Horrible service; do NOT use if you want your products! If I could give negative stars, I would. This company is a joke. Target utilized them to pick up a mattress return. I had to wait a week for a pick up appointment. On the scheduled date, a Friday, I followed up about 4pm to see if there was an issue. Their reps claimed they were still coming, despite the dispatcher not answering calls. I followed up with Target, and they told Target there was no one coming as there were truck issues. Pick up was rescheduled for Monday, Labor Day. Their reps assured Target they would be working on Labor Day. I chatted with EFW twice on Monday and was assured they were coming. At 4pm, I again followed up with Target. EFW told Target they weren't working on Labor Day, but would pick up on Tuesday. At that point I opted to haul the mattress to Target myself. Amazingly, I received a phone call today regarding the shipment. Despite them telling Target a pick up would happen today, I got yet a new story. This time, they blamed the delay on there being a similar pick up in the area causing confusion. They said there would be a truck in the area tomorrow so not even the time frame they gave Target less than 24 hours ago. read more

For anyone reading these negative reviews, please take into consideration these are residential deliveries and are to people who clearly have zero understanding of how common carriers work... It's not the post office delivering to your mailbox or Amazon to your front door. If you are expecting that kind of service from a full out trucker that is used to delivering multiple pallets of goods to a business and receiver at a loading dock and not your treadmill to your front door, you have very unrealistic expectations. If you work in the industry, you know these guys are good. To bad they took on these residential deliveries. They always tank a carriers rating because housewife X thinks their little griddle should be equally as important as that $150,000 load of electronics that driver needs to deliver before the business closes for the day. You will notice none or very little of these bad marks are from actual businesses that deal with freight regularly. The vast majority are people complaining because they do not understand how real trucking works. Residential deliveries will never take priority over high dollar deliveries to warehouses during business hours. Sorry you are not the center of their world. Residential is small fish and generally undesirable freight as most of these guys don't want to drive their trucks in residential areas to deal with people on the street who will never be satisfied. read more

Worst company ever!!! i would not recommend using this company ever for any transportation needs. ordered some equipment from horizon and for 9 days it has been sitting at a terminal in dfw without anyone able to give a straight answer of why it has not been delivered or contacted us for a delivery. supervisors have now told us twice to give them 2 more days each time while they look for our package. The website was still saying delivery for 6/10 between 1pm & 5pm now it's the 6/11 another day and still no update. I paid for a delivery on my pool through Walmart which uses Estes, I had GUARANTEED delivery on 5-1-2023 they had my package from Walmart since 4-25-23 I had to sign for package so I missed work on the 1st, package never showed up so I called them I was told I would get a call back the next day and never did, so I called them and they had basically lost my package so I sat on hold for a long period of time then got told it was still in Texas I live in indiana! And it had not even moved in 5 days, they then told me I have to wait two days to even resolve it or get a call back it's is now the 3rd it was supposed to be here the 1st and now I won't even receive a call until the 6th, as shipping is their whole business you would think they would know where a clients package is, and keep in mind I have missed work just for them to not show up and got absolutely no updates. I understand mistakes happen but a package being lost for 5 days and I have to wait another 3 even to get an update is unacceptable I will only be using Amazon from here forward!!! I see why this company only has 1 star on every website. And mind you I had to buy sand to level for my pool and rent equipment which is now washed away due to the rain so I have to re rent equipment due to this companies neglect to its client. Was scheduled to be delivered today then they changed to 6/30 with no explanation for why it takes so long just said that it's on the dock will be delivered 6/30 when I called. Yeah okay why wasn't it delivered the day you originally said and why has it been held up such a short distance the last two weeks?!!! They completely lost my sons wooden swing set that was supposed to be from Santa and just marked it as delivered. They never showed up for a pick up return which was confirmed for pick up twice. When you call it's at leaat 20 to 30 minutes to get someone to get to you. No explanation as to why it was not picked up. Escalating to manager doesn't mean anything.
