After looking at endless reviews, I selected Dr Griggs as my top choice. I am so glad I did. Dr Griggs is the most compassionate Doctor I have ever met; she took the time to go through my medical history, she listened keenly/patiently to all my questions/concerns and made me feel comfortable and not judged. Dr Griggs is truly knowledgeable and incredibly detailed she addressed all my inquiries and at the end of my appointment she had an action plan.

Recently, my mother went to an Urgent Care center on a Friday, and was told she may have uterine cancer and needed to get into the doctor ASAP and or take herself to the ER by Monday. Obviously when she told me I completely panicked because 1. She doesn't have insurance, and 2. she needed to get into someone on a Saturday. I told my mom (who is terrified of doctors and never goes to them) that I would call my OBGYN. So I called Advanced up, and Linda answered and put me on hold for like 2 minutes and came up with an appt on a Saturday! Literally the next day. She told me not to worry, they would help us on the billing with no insurance and get everything squared away. It was so reassuring. I literally just love Linda! Ruby and Maria are also great! So we go to the appointment, and I was literally freaking out that my mom was going to flip out on Dr. Griggs because she hates doctors. After an hour she comes out and is completely calm and we talked to Linda. Linda gave her a hug and we were off. In the car my mom said, Dr Griggs was the kindest most understanding doctor she had ever met. So, of course I was thrilled. On the billing side, Linda told us that we should talk to Pam. So at the next appointment my mom went into Dr. Griggs, and Pam took me back to her office and explained all of our options. Since the affordable care act did not apply to my mom, we have to work really hard to find other options. So Pam gave me a ton of information, and was super duper understanding and sweet. We go back again today, and I am not even stressed because I feel like we are in the best care for my mother! I highly recommend this place! From Front Desk to the Billing Dept these ladies are top notch!

It was neither what we asked for, nor wanted, but we were stuck and forced to take the option. We went to our appointment on day of, and they said that the alternative appointment that they gave us was also cancelled, not by us and they couldn't tell us who cancelled the appointment. Gave us an appointment 2 months down the road. Kinda defeats the purpose of time sensitive to reschedule 60 days down the road. Bad customer service, so can't comment on quality of care. Pass on this place unless you like being given a run around.

Their hours stipulate that they are open from 9am to 12pm, but when I called at 9:30am, I had to leave a message with an "agent." The office staff is rude. And finally: I had called two days previously, on a weekday (because the practice refused to accept my pharmacist's request for a refill on a prescription the day before), and was told that a request would be put in if I made my annual appointment, which I did. They then did not forward my request to my pharmacist and I am now out of my prescription. I would highly consider a different practice, as I am sure there are several that could meet your needs as a patient.

I'd give a 10 star review if it was solely based on the Doctor, but it's not. The 3 stars is due to the Scheduling. I recall over the years being a Patient ' that only one time I had to see a P.A. because I Dr. Estes was not available. This year I got a reminder in January to call and make my Annual Appointment for September, i went through my portal to make one, just to be told that I had to call to make it. When I called, I was told to call back the following week because they did not have the next month's schedule available. This has been going on for 6 months now, and I still can't get in. This is disappointing and frustrating when you are trying to be proactive with your health.

I am one they cut loose. I decided they don't deserve my silence. As every other negative review says, the office staff is rude and despondent. I called in August to set my annual well exam, and was told they had nothing available until December. 4 months!?When I check in, I'm called to the desk and rushed through some digital release forms to sign. One of which was the use of recording software the doctors now use to record your conversations in the room. The language was very vague- so I questioned if it involved AI. She confirmed it does. I declined the release. (AI software in medical practices, ESPECIALLY women's health should concern everyone, given the political climate and this country's squishy feelings on women's right to bodily autonomy.) Then, a woman escorted me to a room where she reviewed health history, asked me again about the AI tool, (declined again), and before she left, asked "Is there anything you wish to address with the doctor?" This is important, because it's a set up to change your "well exam" appointment to "concern" appointment. It's coded differently, and billed at a higher rate, so I later find out. I said yes, and disclosed my topic of discussion. 20+ minutes later, Doc rushed in, and I talk to her about a common topic I had been reading about my current lifestage as she was doing my exam. I wasn't asking for diagnosis- there was no special test or exam required, simply questioning route of treatment would be better suited for me in this milestone. We had a good, albeit rushed conversation... and after 4 years of trying to figure this out on my own, I finally felt validated and relief that I might start feeling more like myself again. On my way out, the lady at the desk was annoyed that I interrupted her conversation to check the pharmacy she had on file for me. A month later I'm sent a bill for a co-pay. My insurance has no co-pays for annual exams, so I sent a question in the portal, asking if it was mistakenly coded wrong. I was told the "discussions addressed in my appointment fell outside the parameters of a well exam visit." I challenged them on this. I scheduled it as a well exam, 4 months ago. My questions were 100% normal for my age. You mean to tell me that once you're done having babies, you're not allowed to ask ANY questions outside of paps and mammograms without an additional paywall? This is ageist, predatory, and unethical. There's no disclosure about this caveat. When I said my next step was google and yelp reviews if it was not corrected, they brought the doc into the conversation. She repeated the same explanation and signed off with "I believe a positive patient-physician relationship must be built on mutual trust, open communication, and respect.... Since verbalizing your unhappiness with our billing and coding procedures, I feel you would be a better fit in a different practice. Therefore, I am dismissing you from our practice." Not fully disclosing the use of AI nor informing me of my intended question falling outside a well exam visit were both violations of trust and communication... but because I'm not submissive or mindlessly compliant, I'm not a "good fit." As I reflected these last few weeks, it has become very clear to me that in addition to their billing procedures, their priority seems to lie in turning over as many rooms as they can in a day and making diagnoses and treatment recommendations that are not necessarily in your best interest, but theirs. I have more stories that I now see as missed red flags... bottom line, they don't care about you, only your money and mindless compliance. The messaging in their billing correspondence says "thank you for your business" not "thank you for entrusting us with your care." Says a lot. Find a smaller practice.

However, I am extremely disappointed with a lack of accountability and decided to change where I get care. I went in for an annual exam, and the clinic assumed it's repeat visit and they billed the insurance with a wrong code which incurred out of pocket on my end. They don't have a proper in-take process asking why I am there, they just assumed it was another visit, and the unnecessary cost is my responsibility? I contacted the insurance company, lab company, and the clinic multiple times before the visit. It was supposed to be zero cost to me. I was told that the doctor's office would contact me back, but never heard back from them. If a consumer was charged for a service that was never commissioned or agreed upon, any other businesses will fix their mistakes and refund the money. That is a common sense. But obviously, not this clinic. Extremely poor patient experience.
