I've been a patient at this clinic for several years. Although the appointment always runs late for…read more30 min or over an hour, I didn't change the care provider because of the hassle of finding and building a relationship with a new doctor. However, I am extremely disappointed with a lack of accountability and decided to change where I get care. I went in for an annual exam, and the clinic assumed it's repeat visit and they billed the insurance with a wrong code which incurred out of pocket on my end. They don't have a proper in-take process asking why I am there, they just assumed it was another visit, and the unnecessary cost is my responsibility? I contacted the insurance company, lab company, and the clinic multiple times before the visit. It was supposed to be zero cost to me. I was told that the doctor's office would contact me back, but never heard back from them. If a consumer was charged for a service that was never commissioned or agreed upon, any other businesses will fix their mistakes and refund the money. That is a common sense. But obviously, not this clinic. Extremely poor patient experience.

I would give more stars if I could. I've never had such a compassionate and empathetic gynecologist…read moreexperience. Dr. Akbar put me at ease and answered all of my questions. She took her time in chatting with me and making sure I felt in the know. I'm so thrilled I found this gem. Thank you to the team!

I am posting this review for other pregnant women out there who may be scared of the unknown. If…read moreyou have the choice to see a different practice, please do! After northwest joined Midwest, everything went down hill. They supposedly have more providers now, but yet you still can't get in to see a doctor regardless of the time or day( I had to see a NP after 30 weeks instead of a doctor-which is against their own rules, what a coincidence). Who knows when this practice will finally get everything organized and figured out. I waited 9 weeks to get my placental previa checked after they finally realized that they didn't check it. Even though the ultrasound tech recommended it be checked between 24-26 weeks. After being a patient with Midwest and Northwest women's healthcare for several years, I have received a letter today stating that I am no longer a patient at their practice due to noncompliance in their opinion. But the fact that they wanted to induce me without factual results or any other reasoning is absolutely normal in their opinion, risking both my life and my child's. Dr. Stobinski initially told me that everything was great, and then I received a call while driving telling me that she made a mistake and that I had low amniotic fluid, which was absolutely terrifying to hear. I was later able to confirm that it was false. Ultrasounds up at 41 weeks can show false numbers, but nobody wants to acknowledge that, they'd rather get you scheduled. I thank God that I went to the hospital to get a second opinion and was able to make sure that my baby is healthy and safe. I was offered options by the doctor on call, who never saw me before. My baby was born perfectly safe and healthy when he was ready and when his lungs and body were fully developed without any interventions or inductions, completely natural. Who knows what would have happened if I got induced by these providers who didn't offer me any other options expect for an induction which can rapidly bring in a slew of interventions and increase chances for a c-section. I'd advise your practice to speak to the patient before making assumptions. Oh, and the so called missed appointments that you used as reasoning is a lie, your front desk and nurses didn't call me back to arrange a new appointment and wouldn't cancel the previous one.

I am a new patient, have been for only 3 days. What this facility and Jessica the RN made me go…read morethrough was honestly horrible and unethical. I made my appointment weeks ago. I gave them my new insurance and I filled out all the paperwork given to me. They knew I was a new patient. Weeks later I am on my way to my appointment to get my birth control shot, (which they already knew about) and literally 15 mins prior to the apt, the receptionist calls and asks me, did I have my previous doctor send over my records? I explained to her no because you guys never said that you needed them. She said well we just noticed it right now and I'm sorry but if we don't have your records, we need to reschedule your appointment or we have to do blood work today and then tomorrow you can come in and we can give you your birth control shot. I said well my timeframe to get the shot will expire soon and it'll take at least a week to get my records so I can't reschedule this appointment. She said you can see if they can fax it over to us and I explained to her that they won't do that bc I have to fill out a patient release form. The receptionist works at a doctor facility. She should know how long it takes in the process to release patient records to them, which I didn't understand that she didn't know. I asked her how come you guys can't do a urine test to see if I'm pregnant or not, because that's what other doctors do, plus they only do that if you are out of your 3 month window to get the shot and you let it expire. They have to make sure I'm not pregnant so they can give me the shot, which I understand. Receptionist then spoke with Jessica, the RN and Jessica told her that if I was four weeks pregnant, they wouldn't be able to detect that on a urine test. So I said, so you're leaving me no choice let's do the blood work then bc I can't reschedule. I did explain how ridiculous this was and they should've known this weeks ago when I made my appointment and should've asked me then to get them the paperwork from my previous doctor. Then I went in and the receptionist said if I have any questions I can ask Jessica. Well, I never saw Jessica. Some other girl took me to the lab to get the blood test done after that I came in the next day to get the birth control shot. I finally saw Jessica the RN. Jessica had asked me how long I have been on this birth control for. I told her on and off for years since I was 18 years old and I am 43 now. she then asked me if I knew the risks of taking it. I said of course because I've been on it for years. She then tried to convince me to take a break from it. I told her no I did not want to take a break from it, I've tried other birth control, actually every other birth control out there, and none of them work or I have had really bad complications. I told her this was the only birth control that is successful for me. She then recommended I take a break however she gave me the shot and had me set my appointment for 3 months later to get the next one. I then asked her for refills because this was my last one from my previous doctor. She said that they cannot give me multiple refills that they will give me one refill a week before my appointment in April. I asked her why and I said other doctors don't do it that way and she said this was their policy, and I said well that's not state policy so then I asked her do I have to call you guys for the one refill or will it automatically be refilled? She said automatically. I told her so far they have made my new patient experience at that point very difficult and miserable. Then an hour later I receive a phone call from Jessica. She called me and said that they will no longer give me my next shot of birth control. I asked her why, and she said it's because of the risks because you've been on it and we recommend you taking a break. I asked her are you recommending it like you did earlier or are you telling me that you will no longer give me my shot. she said both I told her again. This is the only birth control that works for me and then I asked her are you going pay for my child if I get pregnant again I told her I cannot have any more kids. I already have two and I'm 43 years old. Her comment was oh but you can have more kids. And I said no, I cannot. she didn't tell me how long to take a break for, she didn't refer me to somebody else that I can go and get the birth control from. I told her she wasn't even a doctor to be able to tell me to stop taking birth control so I wanted a doctor to call me. She told me that Nadine would call me today and I happen to call the office because I want to see how to get my records from them now so I can go somewhere else and the office is closed today. so Jessica lied to me and the doctor won't be calling me today because they're closed. I no longer want to be a patient at this facility. I would never recommend this place!
