Excellent Dr. Dr Griggs she is compassionate, excellent…read morelistener, deeply knowledgeable and detailed oriented. I recently moved to Chicago and was in search of an OBGYN. After looking at endless reviews, I selected Dr Griggs as my top choice. I am so glad I did. Dr Griggs is the most compassionate Doctor I have ever met; she took the time to go through my medical history, she listened keenly/patiently to all my questions/concerns and made me feel comfortable and not judged. Dr Griggs is truly knowledgeable and incredibly detailed she addressed all my inquiries and at the end of my appointment she had an action plan.

I have been seeing Dr. Griggs for about 2 years. She is very knowledgeable and her bedside manner…read moreis top notch. I recommend her to everyone. She is possibly the best doctor out there. Recently, my mother went to an Urgent Care center on a Friday, and was told she may have uterine cancer and needed to get into the doctor ASAP and or take herself to the ER by Monday. Obviously when she told me I completely panicked because 1. She doesn't have insurance, and 2. she needed to get into someone on a Saturday. I told my mom (who is terrified of doctors and never goes to them) that I would call my OBGYN. So I called Advanced up, and Linda answered and put me on hold for like 2 minutes and came up with an appt on a Saturday! Literally the next day. She told me not to worry, they would help us on the billing with no insurance and get everything squared away. It was so reassuring. I literally just love Linda! Ruby and Maria are also great! So we go to the appointment, and I was literally freaking out that my mom was going to flip out on Dr. Griggs because she hates doctors. After an hour she comes out and is completely calm and we talked to Linda. Linda gave her a hug and we were off. In the car my mom said, Dr Griggs was the kindest most understanding doctor she had ever met. So, of course I was thrilled. On the billing side, Linda told us that we should talk to Pam. So at the next appointment my mom went into Dr. Griggs, and Pam took me back to her office and explained all of our options. Since the affordable care act did not apply to my mom, we have to work really hard to find other options. So Pam gave me a ton of information, and was super duper understanding and sweet. We go back again today, and I am not even stressed because I feel like we are in the best care for my mother! I highly recommend this place! From Front Desk to the Billing Dept these ladies are top notch!

At first I was apprehensive because Dr Wener was my first and only gynecologist. I worried for nothing. Dr Seruya is wonderful! She's thorough, approachable, intelligent and just puts me at ease. I enjoy our conversations and appreciate her knowledge and sense of humor. I consider her my female Dr Wener! And that's a compliment.

Severe Decline in Patient Care and Ethics Since Dr. Duboe's Retirement…read more I have been a loyal patient of North West Associates for Women's Healthcare for many years, specifically because of the outstanding care provided by Dr. Duboe. He was truly an exceptional OBGYN, and I continued seeing him even after moving far from Hoffman Estates. However, since Dr. Duboe's retirement in June, the practice has experienced a catastrophic decline in quality, professionalism, and patient ethics. I strongly advise new and current patients to beware, especially when seeing Dr. Baddour. I Needed an urgent appointment in October. While the staff was initially quick to get me in, choosing to see Dr. Baddour was a grave mistake. The doctor was extremely rushed and dismissive. After a quick examination and taking a simple sample for testing, he stated I would receive results in 7 days. After 7 days, 10 days, and even two weeks, received no call and no results posted to the patient portal. Called repeatedly, leaving multiple messages on the nurses' line and sending portal messages, with absolutely no response for several days. This lack of communication for an urgent medical issue was unacceptable. When the nurse finally called back, she falsely claimed results take 14 days, contradicting the doctor. She then scheduled a follow-up appointment to "discuss results." Follow-Up Appointment (Ethical and Professional Violations) My second appointment was unsettling and deeply unprofessional. The receptionists were rude and cold, which was a stark change from previous years. When I politely corrected the mispronunciation of my name, the receptionist immediately mispronounced it again without apology. While waiting for the doctor, the staff played political commentary (specifically endorsing Trump and discussing sensitive topics like "kicking rapists out of the country") loudly on the radio. Patient rooms should be a neutral, non-political space focused purely on care. This was unprofessional and made me extremely uncomfortable. Dr. Baddour was once again rushed. Then, the unthinkable happened: he proceeded to lie, claiming he had performed a surgical procedure on me (removing the issue I was having) during the first visit. He insisted it happened and attempted to gaslight me into believing I simply "didn't remember" the surgery. I explicitly knew no such procedure took place. I immediately ended the appointment and left. Billing and Collections Issues (Aggressive and Unethical) Days later, saw a claim submitted to my insurance indicating that Dr. Baddour had performed a surgical excision using local anesthetic--a procedure that never occurred. While actively disputing this fraudulent claim with my insurance, I was told that the practice sent the bill to collections after only 14 days of non-payment. This is an aggressive, unacceptable, and unethical billing practice that severely damages a patient's financial standing and ability to seek care elsewhere. Conclusion and Warning I was a perfect patient: always respectful, always on time, and always paid my bills promptly. I am truly saddened and feel betrayed by the practice's decision to treat a long-standing patient this way. Since Dr. Duboe left, the quality of care, professionalism, communication, and ethical integrity of North West Associates for Women's Healthcare has plummeted. The attempted gaslighting regarding a fabricated surgery and the rapid move to collections are major red flags. I highly recommend others seek care elsewhere.

Don't go here for mid-life hormone issues. After explaining my problems to Dr. Heraty, she told me…read more"some women miss their hormones" and that was the end of that discussion. While gratefulness has it's place, it's not at the doctor's office when you've waited a long time to be seen and finally want to discuss what you can do about a problem. But, I figured she was maybe not at her best that day, so I gave this practice another chance when I next needed help, this time seeing Dr. Plawer. When I brought up hormone issues during a visit, she rolled her eyes and sighed and said "that's a menopause question". So it's not ok to talk about these problems as part of a visit for something else. At this point I was in tears because again, I've not been feeling well and it takes a long time to see someone, and I'm getting brushed off, dismissed, treated as if there's no medical basis for my problems. She ended our discussion by saying that my problems were going to get a whole lot worse and she promised to be there for me, only she said it so crossly, I thought, geez I don't want you to be here for me. And I never went back. I later ran into a friend who told me she had heard similar things at this office, different doctor. So it's a script they are telling people, and the message is older women are not welcome here. The truth is that they are not comfortable guiding women thru mid-life hormone change because they don't have solutions they feel they can offer. So a responsible doctor should say: I'm sorry you're miserable, but we don't have something to offer you right now. Don't say, you need to be grateful, and it's going to get worse. That's not respectful or helpful.

I am a new patient, have been for only 3 days. What this facility and Jessica the RN made me go…read morethrough was honestly horrible and unethical. I made my appointment weeks ago. I gave them my new insurance and I filled out all the paperwork given to me. They knew I was a new patient. Weeks later I am on my way to my appointment to get my birth control shot, (which they already knew about) and literally 15 mins prior to the apt, the receptionist calls and asks me, did I have my previous doctor send over my records? I explained to her no because you guys never said that you needed them. She said well we just noticed it right now and I'm sorry but if we don't have your records, we need to reschedule your appointment or we have to do blood work today and then tomorrow you can come in and we can give you your birth control shot. I said well my timeframe to get the shot will expire soon and it'll take at least a week to get my records so I can't reschedule this appointment. She said you can see if they can fax it over to us and I explained to her that they won't do that bc I have to fill out a patient release form. The receptionist works at a doctor facility. She should know how long it takes in the process to release patient records to them, which I didn't understand that she didn't know. I asked her how come you guys can't do a urine test to see if I'm pregnant or not, because that's what other doctors do, plus they only do that if you are out of your 3 month window to get the shot and you let it expire. They have to make sure I'm not pregnant so they can give me the shot, which I understand. Receptionist then spoke with Jessica, the RN and Jessica told her that if I was four weeks pregnant, they wouldn't be able to detect that on a urine test. So I said, so you're leaving me no choice let's do the blood work then bc I can't reschedule. I did explain how ridiculous this was and they should've known this weeks ago when I made my appointment and should've asked me then to get them the paperwork from my previous doctor. Then I went in and the receptionist said if I have any questions I can ask Jessica. Well, I never saw Jessica. Some other girl took me to the lab to get the blood test done after that I came in the next day to get the birth control shot. I finally saw Jessica the RN. Jessica had asked me how long I have been on this birth control for. I told her on and off for years since I was 18 years old and I am 43 now. she then asked me if I knew the risks of taking it. I said of course because I've been on it for years. She then tried to convince me to take a break from it. I told her no I did not want to take a break from it, I've tried other birth control, actually every other birth control out there, and none of them work or I have had really bad complications. I told her this was the only birth control that is successful for me. She then recommended I take a break however she gave me the shot and had me set my appointment for 3 months later to get the next one. I then asked her for refills because this was my last one from my previous doctor. She said that they cannot give me multiple refills that they will give me one refill a week before my appointment in April. I asked her why and I said other doctors don't do it that way and she said this was their policy, and I said well that's not state policy so then I asked her do I have to call you guys for the one refill or will it automatically be refilled? She said automatically. I told her so far they have made my new patient experience at that point very difficult and miserable. Then an hour later I receive a phone call from Jessica. She called me and said that they will no longer give me my next shot of birth control. I asked her why, and she said it's because of the risks because you've been on it and we recommend you taking a break. I asked her are you recommending it like you did earlier or are you telling me that you will no longer give me my shot. she said both I told her again. This is the only birth control that works for me and then I asked her are you going pay for my child if I get pregnant again I told her I cannot have any more kids. I already have two and I'm 43 years old. Her comment was oh but you can have more kids. And I said no, I cannot. she didn't tell me how long to take a break for, she didn't refer me to somebody else that I can go and get the birth control from. I told her she wasn't even a doctor to be able to tell me to stop taking birth control so I wanted a doctor to call me. She told me that Nadine would call me today and I happen to call the office because I want to see how to get my records from them now so I can go somewhere else and the office is closed today. so Jessica lied to me and the doctor won't be calling me today because they're closed. I no longer want to be a patient at this facility. I would never recommend this place!
