Still have not received an apology from Dominick for the way he had treated my mother and myself…read morefor mistakes he made. We still haven't received an apology for calling us names. I haven't received an apology for his negligence to hear either of us out and completely talking over us. There was no apology for antagonizing me into a screaming match due to the excessive talking over. I would be more than happy to update my reviews if he takes accountability for his mistakes and refunds my elderly mother on the money he forced her to pay for a tow that we had not asked for. He lied to 4 about this situation. His behavior was completely unacceptable and unwarranted. I highly recommend to not do business with him unless you want to be verbally abused. Again, if there is a proper apology I will update my review. Until then he will continue to get 1 star reviews from me until he recognizes his wrong doing.

Totally disappointed by the shop's deceiving pricing practice. When I called the shop for a quote…read moreon a transmission fluid drain and fill I was quoted $188. At the time of car drop-off I was told that the price was $190 + tax (which should have been only on parts, labor cost should be exempt). However, when I came to pick up my car the invoice stated the final price at $230, which included some additional fees not mentioned over the phone. Additionally, they charge 2.75% surcharge for the card service even for a debit card transaction. When I mentioned that this isn't legal in the US the guy said that he didn't care. My recommendation is to always ask for an out of the door price preferably in writing.

We trusted Rich at Ace Transmission and he completely cheated us. We were on the fence regarding…read morewhether we should put a new transmission in my 2012 car or cut our losses and invest the $7k in a new car. Rich said that the car seemed to be in good shape and if we weren't having any other issues, his recommendation was to fix it. After we pick up the car, he tells us that the muffler has some holes in it but thinks maybe they can be welded. Upon taking the car to a muffler shop, we're shocked to learn that the crossmember (underneath the car) is completely rusted with several holes. The new shop cannot believe that a reputable transmission shop put a new transmission into this car, as it's unsafe to drive and the engine can fall out at anytime. I reached out to Rich last week via text to allow him the opportunity to respond before posting this review. When I picked up my vehicle at the end of October, I was happy and ready to write a 5 star review. I had no idea we had been swindled.

Over the last four and a half years I've brought in four different cars including family members cars and all have been handled with premium care. Jeff and Jim have always been overly communicative, never do any work that they don't talk to you and get your approval first, and their team does great work. The pricing is very fair. They will even give a new car a full inspection and give you honest feedback. We had a family member buy a car from Carvana that had some issues that were covered under warranty. CD Jr dealt with the third party completely and updated us every step of the way. If you want your car worked on by honest mechanics who won't talk down to you (a complaint my wife certainly and justifiably has) and treat you with respect, go to Jeff and the gang.

They checked my car, gave me a quote and provided feedback regarding what the car actually needs. I spoke to my brother and went to another repair shop where they priced it much higher. So the following few days I called back to bring in my car for service. Craig reassured me that the brakes were not issue but other issues would be the issue and make the car unsafe to drive. They were kind enough to lend me a loaner car for the weekend, and to my surprise, I got a call Friday evening that my car was ready for a pick up! The whole team was super friendly, it's a family owned business and it shows. They have me a clear itemized breakdown of everything that needed work, no pressure or upselling and were very accommodating throughout the process. I consulted Yelp as I often do to look for a reliable and recommended provider of service. Saturday morning I called and spoke to Mark and I explained what was happening. He asked me a couple of questions and told me what he thought was the problem and an approximate cost to repair. I said I would be there Monday morning. I arrived Monday morning and they drove my car around a tiny bit to see what was happening. I received a call a few minutes later and they told me what needed to be done (front brake pads and rotors) and the cost (which was what I was told on Saturday). It's so nice to find a trustworthy automotive repair shop. Mark and his team did everything they said needed to be done at the price quoted. I highly recommend Roselle Service Center for any automotive repair needs!
