The place is pretty large inside. The waitress wasn't very friendly. We have mixed feeling about this place. I enjoyed my pork tacos however not everyone liked their steak tacos. They said it had no flavor. It could be because they make the steak in advance. We were also upset that they had no more avocados left to make fresh guacamole. Mind you it was a Tuesday at 5pm. The place was empty. I don't understand why there was no more left. The flies inside were really annoying and they should have put their fly tape in a discrete location instead of having it hang in the center of their bar. Please get some help and wait staff!!!! Food is so good. Loved the tostones and empanada appetizers. Chicken fahitas were great-would like more than 2 very small tortillas with order though. Problem is every customer had to go up to the bar to get their bill settled because their are only 2 waitresses for the entire place on a busy Friday nite. We ordered guacamole and tortilla chips for starters while we viewed the menu. The menu contained a nice variety of dishes that could suit each person's palette preferences. Next we ordered the shrimp ceviche and pollo Chuco. The shrimp in the ceviche was fresh and the plenty. It was definitely an appetizer that can be shared among 2-3 people. The ingredients tasted fresh and it had a nice kick to it. The pollo chuco was one of the suggestions the waiter mentioned. It was full of favor and the chicken had a nice bite on the outside and yet it was soft and tender on the inside. It was made to perfection! We had a couple drinks like Jarrito's pineapple and mandarin flavor as well as a Stella. The waiter was friendly and very accommodating. There is comfortable seating inside and outside. First of all, don't listen to the two Karen's with the one star reviews. This place has great food, a welcoming atmosphere and friendly service. We started with margaritas which were delicious. Three of us got the taco combos and two of us ordered the burritos. The tacos are made with fresh hand-pressed tortillas which really make them special. I visited Tulum earlier this year and the tacos were on par with what I had down in Mexico. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and not fishy in the slightest. My friends really liked the burritos. The place is immaculate. One of the cleanest restaurants I've ever visited. The bathrooms are nicer than my own home. This says a lot about the establishment. They care. The tables were set with microfiber towels as napkins which we thought was pretty cool. They're colorful and absorbent. They should use more colors! The only negatives were that I thought the elote corn salad and tostones could use a little more seasoning. Also, they didn't give us water when we sat and had to ask for it. Table service should always get water. The prices were a little high but on par with some of the nicer restaurants in the area. You get what you pay for. Go eat at the Narrowsburg diner and see what you get there. Overall it was a great meal and I'd visit them again. read more

We've been wanting to try this restaurant and we always enjoy a trip to Narrowsburg. The dining area looks like it would be fun. But the service was slow and indifferent. It took longer than expected to order and receive our simple drinks. Surprisingly all the food we had seemed bland, including the fresh guacamole, fajitas and the refried beans. No hot sauce or salsa was provided to maybe spice things up. It was only with some effort before we got our check and even longer for them to collect our credit card, even though the restaurant was not busy. So, perhaps a good place to get a drink and relax, but not for a full dinner. Oh, and don't use the first unisex bathroom on the left. The door casing is missing from what appears to be a neighboring storage room, so one could see into the bathroom. read more

We come from Southern California and enjoy Mexican food. We thought this would be a great delight for us to try out. After walking in and finding a table, the wait staff was not really interested in citation service, not really pleasant, no urgency, and we were only one of 3 tables in the restaurant. I have never been served white sticky rice with my burrito on the side? Had to wave down the staff for refills of water. The prices are high for the area, and the quality of food is less impressive with just average flavor. Not authentic at all, very disappointed, and will not recommend or return due to staff attitude. This is the second time my grandson and I have had dinner here! First time, last year, we enjoyed the food and the Margaritas! Plus we were there for happy hour so the drinks were 2 for the price of one $12 for two! Ok so this time the waiter was somewhat rude plus there were many flies buzzing around our food! I called the waiter over to ask if he could do something about the flies! He shrugged his shoulders and said just flies! Had to ask for a glass of water and the check! Oh and only 2 tortillas come with a plate of fajitas so I asked for more and they charged me $1.60 for two which came in foil! Food was just okay. I àm a big home cook and also enjoy going to restaurants and eating good, quality food. First, the service was just not good. It took a short time. To receive my margarita, which was very good. We did not order apps and it took about 25-30 mins for the entrees to arrive. Food was very bland for a Mexican restaurant. It absolutely needed the hot sauce that was provided on the table. We ordered a burrito and estelitas burritos (I think). It was a slow cooked beef. It needed fresh cilantro inside the taco, garlic and just spice in general. It took so long for the check to arrive. When we received it we had to go in to pay bc the wait was just too long. We watched two families leave, one for not being seated in a timely manner and the other for not getting their order taken. We made the mistake of eating outside. The restaurant is a next to a busy stop sign and bridge crossing. The cars and trucks make it hard to hear the nice Latin music playing or even to talk to each other. Tried this place for the second time. We were a bit disappointed the first time but they had recently opened so we had said we would come back. Not much has changed in terms of service . Our server was curt and unpleasant. Her demeanor shouted " this job is beneath me"...probably some sort of pageant would be more up her ally. Our meal at Estelita's was very tasty. We had chicken empanadas for our appetizer- perfectly cooked. For entrees we had chicken quesadillas and chicken fajitas. Both were served hot and delicious. Fortunately an unexpected change in plans led us to this little gem of a restaurant. Expect a warm welcome the moment you arrive to the entry terrace with outdoor seating offering a gorgeous view of Narrowsburg's historic bridge and the Delaware river. We elected to sit inside and were not disappointed by the festive decor and cheerful ambiance. Alison, the hostess extraordinaire, who incidentally, also worked as our server and bartender was clearly an exceptional human and outstanding bartender and server. She made us delicious Mojito's with fresh mint from an onsite garden-we are still dreaming of them three weeks later. We started with the guacamole and homemade tortilla chips and quickly scooped up the delicious goodness with our warm crunchy chips without delay. Our daughter was quite dismayed to learn that Estelita's was closed the following day (Sunday) and grabbing some guac to go would be impossible.Several delectable apps and entrees followed the guacamole: chicken wings, taquitos, quesadilla, signature tacos, chicken fajitas and chocolate torte. EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious, fresh and authentic! Estela's cooking rivals that of chef's in countless latin restaurants we have dined at in Manhattan and throughout the tristate area. Thanks to the multi-talented Alison working the front of house, bar and tables and the flair and skill of Estela in her kitchen, we have found our new favorite latin restaurant. Paella takes time to cook so we enjoyed delicious cocktails while waiting. Portion was large enough for 4 servings. Can't wait to go again. Arrived at 7 on Friday May 27, 2020. There were four of us and as we came in the waitress told us they had no alcohol which was disappointing but we understood as they recently opened. We sat down. First up was dips. One was sour cream, salsa, green onion, and shreddded cheeses. There was no seasoning and mostly flavored sour cream. It was something your grandma whipped up while in prison. No flavor and the hot fried tortilla chips were cold. Second dip was Frito Lay bean dip, with salsa and shredded cheese. And it was also cold and congealed. When entrees arrived, they brought renewed hope to our table. They were large. My husband had a shredded pork sandwich with fries. The meat was so dried and fibrous, it had the texture of steel wool. I had fajitas. They arrived on a plate, with the chicken and peppers appearing to look like cafeteria salsbury steak. They came with white parboiled rice and beans but no fixins like tomato, sour cream, onion, or peppers. The pinto beans were canned and not refried, black or flavored. However, the chicken was spoiled. I felt really bad for our waitress as she was awesome and tried to fix everything. When I told her about the chicken, she said it might be the seasoning or cilantro. I told her if their seasons profile was spoiled they were going to have bigger problems. Then she told me the chicken was fresh that day. I totally believe the chicken was fresh but left out in the car for five hours while wrapped in mayo. The final entree to review was the shrimp salad. The salad looked wonderful. It was a head and 1/2 of iceberg lettuce with the center of the lettuce core buried in the bowl. I've not seen the lettuce core served as a surprise before. Innovative. We performed a citizens arrest on the shrimp as they were guilty of "being cooked while frozen" after a long winter in the freezer without a coat. They arrived on the salad bed as chewy freezer burnt imitation catfish nuggets wannabes. The Diet Cokes were cold and the Mexican Coke was good. Our waitress was kind. Three of us went here for dinner. My friends both ordered fajitas - one ordered chicken, the other steak I ordered a pernil sandwich, We ordered chips & salsa for starters and they were very good. Our order of tostones came out next, long before the entrees -we had to eat them before they got cold rather than eat them with our entree - they were ok. My' friends' "fajitas" came out - a plate of just chicken, and a plate of just steak - no tortillas or sour cream as said on the menu. One friend ordered a salad with his fajitas, but got mushy french fries instead, I asked the waiter where the tortillas and sour cream were - he went inside to inquire and came back saying it did not come with tortillas and sour cream. Meat on a plate is not a fajita - its just meat on a plate I had to ask him for a menu and point out to him the description of the fajita -flour tortillas with sour cream with filing of your choice (steak, chicken, shrimp...) He left,. Meantime the plates of meat are getting colder and colder. He finally arrived with 2 totillas wrapped in aluminum foil with no sour cream. My meal never came ( although I asked if I was going to get it 3x). At this point their food was cold, my food never came and we had it. We left paying only for 2 softbeverages, chips/salsa, and tostones (totaled $27). We will not be returning read more
