We tried going here one other time but it was closed, so glad we finally stopped in. The chips, guacamole and salsa were excellent. My fife got the Carne Asada Quesadilla which came with both red and green salsa as well as a side of sour cream. There was a side of a guacamole lime salad too, which was excellent. The Carne Asada California Burrito was solid. Very juicy, so I ended up with a lot of dripping action down my hand. The steak was good, I wouldn't say plentiful, but good. We will definitely be stopping back in. read more

The garlic shrimp appetizer is awesome and the selection of authentic foods on the menu is great. The service is good for this quaint restaurant with inside and outside seating. A much better atmosphere than another place that had people yelling about a guy misbehaving with the staff and chaos with an unfriendly cook at higher prices. Highly recommended over the alternative. read more

Such a happy find! The food was delicious. Everything is homemade from the chips to the tortillas. Best Chile relleno I've had in a long time. Staff super friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back! read more

We visited here for Mexican food and arrived hungry ! The food was pretty good a little complicated for ordering a few to many rules but over all food was pretty good . Service was only meh but the chips and salsa good . In Milford it's probably the best choice for Mexican at this price point but if you drive a little there are better choices . read more

Best mexican restaurant in the area. Guacamole is perfect. Zucchini tostadas are excellent. Great choice for vegetarian dinner. Shrimp dish was a excellent dinner choice. Home made Flan was delicious. Place is clean and customer service was great. read more

I stopped here based on Yelp reviews. I ordered a burrito California. It came out quick and was great. It had excellent flavor. I asked for spice. The peppers were flavorful and not just heat. The inside is small but that doesn't take away from the great food. A man who I assume was the owner served me and cooked my food. He was great and happy to have a customer. I will come back. read more

Tequila Sunrise - Mexican Near Me - Milford, Pennsylvania

Randomly picked up the place while returning back from Dingman Falls, this is a very small place located in Milford PA, and there's a good chance that you'll miss out on it while driving as it's not easily visible from the road either! The restaurant has a homely decor and it gives you a vibe of sitting in some Mexican home and having a meal. The staff was friendly also to mention their kitchen looked clean enough to me! We ordered Chicken nachos where they served it with shredded chicken and it tasted really good but the only downside was their cheese which had a little bit of extra salt in it. We ordered a vegetarian combo platter which had enchiladas, toastada, burrito along with rice and beans. The rice and beans combo was really delicious also the toastada was good, they had a good amount of chopped avocado, green peppers and cucumber added to it, burrito too was good but the enchiladas had a similar downside to the nachos due to the cheese. Overall it was a great experience and I think this place makes a great stop while traveling from this town! read more

Tequila Sunrise - a mexican restaurant with colorful tables and chairs - Mexican Near Me - Milford, Pennsylvania

It is a small place tucked away on the back of the lot, but the food is delicious and the service is always friendly and welcoming.

For a true hole-in-the-wall slightly scary but definitely delicious experience, go to Tequila Sunrise. Okay, so here's the deal: the food is solidly good and made fresh to order, so it's delicious. However, the place isn't really clean. When putting my salsa in a to-go container after my meal, the server got his hands in it - and it didn't matter. The can of coke also had a lovely line of black gunk on its rim. But dang it - the food was really good. The owner was there, and he's a real sweetie. I enjoyed the visit even though I felt the need to use sanitizer on my hands after - nothing was sticky, but it just wasn't clean. So to reiterate: for a true hole-in-the-wall slightly scary but definitely delicious experience, go to Tequila Sunrise. read more

I don't think people realize how fortunate we are in Pike County to have a restaurant with food as good as that of the Tequila Sunrise on Hartford. The chef there used to be the chef at Tequila Blue in Stroudsburg so he brings a wealth of experience. You can buy a cheap taco at Taco Bell just as you can buy a cheap cup of coffee at Dunkin Donuts, but you are not doing yourself a favor. Not only do you marginalize one of the world's great cuisines, but you train yourself to accept mediocrity. Just as you should taste a great cup of coffee or tea, go to Tequila Sunrise to enjoy authentic Mexican food. Your life will better for it. read more

Just visited on our way home from camp. We had a party of 20 people with just 40 minutes heads up. Everyone's food was amazing and authentic. Ask them to make things spicy if you like and they'll add grilled Serranos. Salsa guac and enchiladas tasted fresh as well. Looks like they make food from a home kitchen in the back. read more

Omigoodness! Talk about a hidden treasure! My husband and and I stopped in for lunch while running an errand. The owner waited on us himself, and the food was served in a very timely manner. We decided to have two appetizers and split an entree, and it was the right call because the portions were very generous. We ordered the chori nachos (which were like taquitos with a chorizo filling) served with a chipotle mayo, and the house-made guacamole which tasted like it was made moments before it came to the table. (We actually ordered some to go, so our son could experience truly delicious guac.) We shared the Alambre a la Mexicana, and it was so, so good. Wouldn't change a thing. read more

Our old favorite restaurant for us in the area. Completely fresh & authentic, quality, lovingly-made Mexican food. The owner, Jacob & his staff are the best. Great food, large portions . Family business so nice. Quick service. Variety of food on menu

Food is very tasty and plentiful. We love the refried beans! We've been several times. The couple who run it (we think that they are the owners) are friendly and attentive. The inside is small but pleasant. I would have given them 5 stars but they are BOYB. They happily provide glassware for what you bring but it would have been nice to have a margarita with my dinner. read more

Some of the best Mexican food you can get! Chef Jacob's food delivers fresh dishes with layers of flavors! A must stop in Milford PA.

Excellent food. Small restaurant but service is excellent ... good authentic Mexican food.

I shouldn't be forced to give them 1 star, but its the minimum. Just tried this place in Milford.... DO NOT EAT THERE. It wasn't bad enough that the taco salad had the constincy of watery soup.... Couldn't eat it... The rice and beans had do much hair in it, a bird could have built a nest out of it. The hairs we're all about 3/8", giving me the feeling it was rodant hair. See the pics of the burrito too. We barley made it back to LACA. for the bathroom. I'd rather starve read more

The food here is unreal. Best Mexican food within an hour of Milford. The chimichangas are a hit. And the people who run this place are very nice and attentive read more

I ordered food to go. I couldn't find their website to access a menu, but I found some other websites that had pictures of it. I ordered a burrito with no meat and the following: beans, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream. I confirmed several times and was told that that's a California Burrito, which I was not familiar with so I reiterated my order indicating what I wanted inside. I also ordered a black bean soup. The burrito was not made as I requested. It had carrots, onions, squash, zucchini, and other ingredients I didn't ask for. The burrito was very large, cut in two pieces. Each piece was larger than my fist, so it was quite huge. However, the $14 I spent on the burrito was not worth it. The $5 for the soup was reasonable given the size, but neither the consistency nor the taste was satisfactory. When I arrived for pickup 20 minutes before they closed, the closed sign was already up and interior lights dimmed. The parking lot had plenty of spaces, which was nice for Main Street. I likely would not come back. read more

Tequila Sunrise, is hands down the best Mexican restaurant/experience in the Tri-State area, dine in or take away. The ambiance is like being at home, served up by your very own Abuela/Abuelo. You can tell there is a lot of love that goes into the preparation, execution, and serving. Everything on my plate was fresh and prepared perfectly to order. Every bite was was packed with flavor; and the expertly cooked protein, moist and savory. Look no further for a Mexican delight. read more

Really mean people; felt like a soup nazi episode from Seinfeld. Nobody should be treated meanly. If you're in the mood to be treated badly for mediocre food, this is your spot. As a tourist, it gave the whole town a bad taste. Eat elsewhere. Manger ailleurs. read more

Great Menu, not a lot of seating with only three tables outside( get it to go and head to a table at the park on a nice day). The chicken fajitas were exceptional and more food I've ever gotten at any Mexican restaurant. A little pricey but the food was fantastic and again, the amount was huge. Easily 2 meals worth so it kind of evens out. Close to 5 stars if there was just a little more comfortable seating and maybe 10 percent price reduction. read more

Great authentic Mexican food - extremely nice people - couldn't ask for more! Thoroughly enjoy this local spot.

I remember taking senior skip day just to go to this restaurant because I simply couldn't wait until school ended to get their enchiladas. Figured last night's experience was worth an update. Food was delicious as usual but the service left us a little upset. Its Saturday night and we finish our errands for the day at 7pm. We call up to order two dinners and some guacamole. Instead of taking the order, we were first met with "Well we close at 8pm." Um, ok. We asked if we could still order and was told yes, but it seemed like they were put out. It was probably around 7:20pm at that point. My partner goes right over to pick up the food so they don't get antsy. I check Yelp and Facebook. Both indicate they close at 9pm on Saturday night. But I digress... For perspective here: my partner is a retired federal firefighter. Anyone who knows people who do this job know they are generally large men with beards. They're also unflappable and stoic. According to my partner, when he came in to pick up the food, the staff acted nervous and like they thought he was going to rob the place. I should also point out that he had his fire crew jacket on. The cook came out from the back and questioned why my partner was standing there. After he paid for the food, he said the man followed him and watched out the window to see what type of vehicle he got in to. I hope the owners of this establishment read this and learn that a) when someone calls during your business hours offering to give you money, you let them place the order without making them feel bad and b) don't judge your customers based on appearance. My partner has assisted in saving numerous lives and property over the years. He wouldn't have the job if he was a criminal. To make him feel like you think he's shady is nothing short of insulting. Guess I'll have to pick of the food from now on since I "look normal" and meet their standards. read more
