It's been a while but this is still my favorite spot…read more I used to receive the absolute best wash and blow from the lovely ladies here back in my permed days. They did my gorgeous honey highlights and even dyed my full honey. Now I will admit my hair broke after all this processing but that was my fault lol These girls offer awesome deep treatments and do a great job styling as well. Their cuts are amazing and they aren't scissor happy like most Dominican salons. Since going natural, I've only been here once to straighten my hair. Needless to say everyone thought I had a perm! It was bone straight and looked healthy and bouncy. It was so wonderful. I'm laying off the heat so I won't be going too often but my wash and straighten with a deep condition and a cut was very reasonably priced. They offer different deep conditions, steam, hot oil treatments! A whole bunch of stuff. They speak their spanish all in the spot of course but that's expected. They always greet me "HIIII Briana!" lol I don't know why they won't learn my name but it's all good. They're friendly and always ask how my mom and sister are doing. They know how to make their customers feel right at home. My fave salon and I've been to a bunch of them. Def the best in the area.

A wash and blow is $25, wash and set $20, and a deep conditioner depending on which one you choose can run you $5-$10. The milk shake deep conditioner is $10 and worth every penny. Although, I didn't get the same results this trip as I did the first time I had it. You may experience language barriers at most Dominican salons out there , but that's not the case here, that's never been a problem. They do like ALL Dominican salons and speak in their language back and forth between stylists, having you believe that you're the topic of conversation, but even that wouldn't stop me from coming here. They know how to do hair well and that's what I'm paying for!

But what bothered me most was how the owner had the audacity to ask me to tip more at my last visit. I used electronic payment to pay. She told me to include the tip in the electronic payment, not to leave cash. I thought that was very sketchy not to tip workers directly, like I had been doing for years there. Who knows if she gave them their tip?? Then she actually said "can you tip more" after peeking at my phone, the total payment I was sending. I was already leaving two tips to two separate workers on top of the total cost. I've never had that happen before. Needless to say I won't be returning there again.

Was easy to make an appointment (they're not busy), Good price, and i love the result! If hairdressers had the capacity to provide hospitality, the salon would receive a kind review with five stars. It is very unaccepting to make a client feel mistreated, especially when they are paying above price for treatment. The elder lady is very sweet. However the young ones, especially the failed bleach dyed blonde lady (Roma), is ill-mannered, disrespectful. This nasty behavior is not accepted and I may proceed with a lawsuit to shut down this business if I or other clients aren't receiving better treatment.

I usually get a some rare haircut for a Asian female: the undercut. Most Asian places I've been to tend to cut my hair differently from a given reference picture. I'm often told that I'll look like a guy if I cut it too short... which I clearly don't mind, but they ignore my words anyways. I was so surprised and delighted when I got here and the lady who cut my hair knew exactly what an undercut was and didn't question or suggest a cut "more fitting for a girl." Cut came out to be $17 ($22 with tip). Price is pretty great, maybe higher for the area but no doubt better quality. Tried my best to show some before and after pics. Am very satisfied and probably will be my go-to place from now on.
