Amazing food. Ranchero Burrito and Al pastor tacos are the best. Always great service with fair prices. Food comes out fast and hot always. Great natural lighting, take it to go or eat in with plenty of seating. Shout out to Luis. Best Mexican food in Arcata. read more

This spot is rock solid. You're not getting the best of the best. But it's pretty damn good. AND at that, most burritos are gonna run you just $10. Where are you getting a $10 burrito other than the year 2015?? Amazing. If you're near Esteban's, go to Esteban's. It's just lovely. read more

Solid Mexican restaurant. Portions were big for the price and there was a good amount of meat in the quesadilla that I got as well as their burritos. Quesadilla felt a little greasy but the flavor was decent. Tortillas were excellent, tasted fresh and definitely homemade. Dining room was empty when I was there, seemed most people take their food to go. 4.0/5 read more

Excellent homemade flour tortillas. One of my favorite burritos and quesadillas in the area. Good size, price and attention to details making my burritos with exactly what I want (or don't want) in it. Great for take out orders. read more

I love coming to Esteban's! The staff is friendly, they have decent portions, & their prices are fair. My favorite thing on the menu is their super chile relleno burrito. It's consistently good every time, and the sauce they use in the burrito goes so well combined with all the ingredients. It's gotten to a point where this is all I order when I go lol. My go to place for burritos in Humboldt! :) read more

Tried the new location the other day for lunch, it is literally across the street from its original spot. Its still being finished out but the kitchen is open for business. The dining room was still being set up but a couple tables and chairs were available. The place was busy and most people were taking their food to go. A one page menu, I opted for the fish tacos, and order of two with hot sauce. The kitchen is quick and effecient, from the time I ordered until my tacos were handed to me, maybe ten minutes? The fish was nice golden brown batter fried with a dressing of slaw on nice corn torillas, with the hot sauce. *The Hot is not for the faint of heart, if you are even vaguely fearful of fire sauces go with the mild. This one packs some heat! A quick inexpensive lunch, still a good value but in a much larger location, inside the former T's Cafe spot in the big victorian house on the corner. 3.5 Stars rounded up for the quick friendly service 00936 read more

We went based off the reviews. It's not a food truck and there's no good outdoor seating, like the pictures shown. It's a weird spaces that's hard to navigate and the staff was very "I don't care". Based off the few minutes we spent in there we decided to leave. read more

On April 14th around 3:30 the service from beginning to end was not warm or inviting, we were the only people in the restaurant so we thought it would be quick and. Luis was on his phone during our order and was mumbling, i repeated my order 3 times to ensure i got what i wanted and he look up maybe twice. after ordering he handing us the receipt and started to walk away until we asked him if we had to sign and he just pointed to the receipt and said sign then walked away. When our food came out we noticed it wasn't what we had ordered so we waited about 3 minutes for him to come back and when we told him what was wrong he immediately said you didn't order that and when I said I did order something else he disagreed and walked away again. I decided i wanted my money back and when i told him i did he said here's what you ordered and i told him i wanted my money back for the attitude he was giving and the disregard for us even being there. He then decided to argue with me about what i had ordered again and i insisted that i just wanted my money back i didn't want to eat from a restaurant that treats people the way he did . Luis is not fit for customer service his attitude was completely unacceptable. read more

One of the worst burritos I've had in my life. Bland and strange tasting. Asked for hot salsa and I get something bland and unappetizing. Chips don't even look like they were made in restaurant and I had to pay extra. read more

Fabulous building! Big windows and a turret. I was hoping for so much more. Food was okay. But this is a Mexican restaurant. Where were the bright colors, music and decor? It was cold-almost cavernous in there with no drapes or soft fabrics to halt the echo of the big empty space. Fingers crossed they make some changes. read more

Not only was the food actively gross and dry but they messed up all three of orders. No redeemable qualities do not eat here.

Fast service and super friendly staff. The food is delicious every time I go there. Plenty of seating. I've never had to wait for a table.

Burrito was good but who the heck puts lettuce in a burrito? 3.5 rating and mostly cause they're nice people

We had a hard time finding this place. It was tucked inside a little shopping area, and we were expecting to find a food truck and not an actual building. Once inside though the menu had a lot of really good options to choose from. We ordered the super veggie fajita burrito, a wet burrito with red sauce and a plate of veggie nachos. We enjoyed the nachos. They weren't anything too special but they were tasty. My son loved his wet burrito and said it was really good. The rest of us were disappointed with our veggie fajita burritos however. My husband, who got the hot sauce with his, said it had some good flavor. It was pretty spicy for him, which surprised me because he can handle a lot of heat. But he enjoyed it. The rest of us got the mild sauce with ours but we didn't taste any sauce. We felt like the burrito was pretty bland and could have used a lot more flavor and some kind of sauce. We all commented as well on the fact that the potatoes could have been cooked more. They felt a little undercooked. Overall it was just okay. We probably wouldn't choose this restaurant again since there were better tasting options elsewhere. read more

Fast and delicious burritos! The horchata was yummy! Service is super quick! We will definitely come back again! Worth a drive!

Delicious! Very friendly service. Lots of vegetarian options. The sauce on the wet burritos is fantastic.

Best tostada of my life! Great atmosphere. Great service. Reasonably- priced. I'll be back.

So far so good. The tacos that I ordered for my partner were highly delicious. She ended ordering al pastor, carne asada and chipotle. Usually we tend to notice when their is very fatty and put aside any non edible meat. But not this time. I noticed instead the many times she complimented the flavor of the meat along with the salsa and side of lemons. The tacos are fairly large so it is a win-win situation if you come hungry The reason I give them a star less was due to their prices and the fact that I have yet to try some of their dishes. For instance I have found that Speedy Taco sells cheaper Chile Relleno Burritos for a fraction of the price $4. Anyways that is not to say I am not willing to try theirs one day! I am sure once I try more of their food the ratings/stars will go up. read more

I'm a regular at this spot and I am surprised I haven't written a review sooner. I've tried something from each category and it never disappoints. I recommend the chorizo breakfast burrito (really slaps with ketchup and dont come for me, I don't make the rules), the Al pastor super burrito is excellent and the fajitas super burrito is great with any protein, you pick. This is a great spot for a bite to eat and a soft drink or beer. There is no bathroom but if you are far from home you can always go to the co-op in walking distance. The staff are chill and working hard all day but stay consistent. I hope this review helped you with your decision on where to eat! read more
