When I walked in to the shop, the CVS employee told me I just missed him by a few mins. I remembered seeing a UPS truck when I pulled into the CVS driveway, so I quickly exited the store to see if I could catch him. John was about ready to pull away but I yelled loudly and obnoxiously as I'm walking towards him (because let's face it, some of us are not really built to run fast). He waited and was able to take my package for me. He said he tracking might not show up right away because he had scanned all the packages that CVS had for him, so he'd have to scan it at the next pick up stop. I was fine with that. As long as he got it in his truck for that day's pick up, I was good. He was patient with me and waited, again, despite my obnoxious yelling in the parking lot. John deserves a raise.

I used Craters & Freighters in Phoenix to ship a set of dishes among 12 boxes. The boxes with the…read moredishes were clearly marked fragile. Unfortunately half of them arrived broken. While the boxes where under the responsibility of Craters & Freighters, they were repacked unprofessionally by their subcontracted DHL which led to 1/2 of the dished arriving broken at the destination. I was expecting professional care and responsibility while my boxes where under their care. When I raised the issue, I found their contract places strict limits on liability, making it difficult to recover the actual value of the items. While the staff were responsive during booking, the outcome was disappointing. I would caution others to read the fine print carefully before using their services, especially if shipping fragile items.

I personally met the owner because there aren't many reviews, so he invited me to his shop so I could see how the artwork is prepared for shipping. He is personable, takes pride in his work and was quick to respond to my text messages. He laughed when I said I had a large piece to ship, as the size of my painting is considered small compared to what he normally sends out (he also has a pretty good sense of humor).
