I would never recommend this business to anyone. Made the mistake once to recommend friends and my Daughter because the owner seemed reliable. He has since then taken over $3k from people I know and not executed the work he promised to finish. They put the concrete down but never came back to remove the 2X4's or to repair the finishing touches. Aside from that they damaged my new gutter, new garage door and cracked my new tuck pointing. I had numerous quotes that were ridiculously high. I was referred to Robert and his team by a realtor friend of mine. We found Robert Garcia thru our reality agent that we bought the house. The basement was leaking so he came and gave us a really nice price BUT - and there always its a BUT - price was getting higher because his initial price didnt have a lot of things that the competiotion included from the begining. At the end his price was even a few hundrets higher than others PLUS we pay extra for a garage entry drainage. We did it before the winter came. We are still remodeli the house so to our surprise today ( when the snow started melting ) that the drainage its not working since I have a LOT of water in my garage. I hired Robert and it was a big mistake. He took $5,000 of deposit, started a job and he disappeared without even finishing demo . Before that he asked for more money saying that he did a lot of work and he needed more money than we agreed. When I asked him to continue work he stopped demo and cleaning and did not show up any more. read more

I read the reviews and the only one I see that is on target is Mr NF. The owner Robert deflects by saying the person was argumentive, he gave them a great deal and had to be threathened to get results. His claim to fame is he has a great business and he takes care of his customers, as long as they don't have major problems. I believe he's a legend in his own mind. End of last year on a recommendation of a friends, friend was dating the owner to call this company. Biggest mistake I have made in my 59 yrs. I have done numerous construction projects and never seen such poor quaility of management and workmenship. I was quoted $6500.00 to put in a cement floor, fix leaks and install a sub pump in my crawl space. Try to keep it a short story, I had to remind him about getting the plastic to cover the floors. Robert shows up and asked me how big my crawl was so he could order stone??? Then proceeded to tell me that a cement pump would cost to much money....not my problem I said you quoted a price should we stop now. I was leaving in two day for vaction, so I was in a time crunch, which of coarse Robert said no problem and I asked him numerous times. I also was having a health problem with my heart so I was trying to remain calm. Robert then proceeds to say what about just putting down plastic? I said no I wanted the cement for what I was quoted and this was the 3nd time you asked that, if you dont want to do it stop now I said, because I'm leaving in two day and I want to issues. Orginally which he doesnt seem to remember much he qouted me orginally $4500.00 for that putting down plastic and I did the math he still would make a decent profit at that rate. They started the project and I never seen a level come out or never shot any grades. So he stopped by early to be paid he had another business project to go to so asked if he can get paid, because he didnt have a valid drivers listen someone was driving him around. I di pay him in advance another big mistake. So My brand new carpet was stained, the cheap plastic they put down wasn't fully typed down seeems, the flool isn't even close to level, still spots with no rocks just mud, pipes and debris left under the white plastic,the sub pump he put in was never hooked up like he said it was just left cord dangling and some areas of the basement are still wet. I was nice at first until really looking at it and asked for $1000.00 refund or put the cement in like it was qouted that was what I was quoted on his estimate. So I get a text message back about him being a stand up "business" man and to this day still nothing. Any business owner should never ever ignore a dissatisfied customer unless you have no obligation what so ever and even then you have to weigh out the end result. Now I will be having my attorney takethis issue civil to court, I warned him I wouold not drop this. Pretty much a slam dunk in my opinion with pictures of the work not done, his bill spelling out what he qouted etc. Employee's owner's can make mistakes and sometimes they can cost the company money. I've learned your reputaion is all you have and you eat the mistake and move on. Another funny thing was I had the estimate on my counter when Robert got there. I went to look for it and it was gone. Robert moved it into a cabinet by the door. I asked him where my estimate was I knew it was right on the counter. He said he put it in the cabinet....not sure if he didn't want to let his $12.00 an hr labors, see what he charged or he planned on taking it?? Going to court cost a company big money, emeployee's get brought in to be deposed, continues etc When you add it all up what did you win or gain? I believe he was over his head, maybe felt he quoted to low and I was going to be a push over. I wanted a cement floor and still do and I should never of had to get to this point. Fact is discounting it a $1000.00 would barley pay for the cement snow to do it right. So I'll have to pay a company to redo what he did and then do a cemet floor. Do not pay this guy i cash and do not let him start unless you have the paper work to back it up. If your an elderly person please have someone review it. read more

I had drain tiles installed as well a sump pump. He was there each step of the way to check on the progress. With all the heavy, rainy days that we have had, my basement stayed totally dry. I had a horrible experience with this company. I initially received a telephone estimate for raising one support post in my basement by 3 inches. That estimate was between $500 and $600. When Robert came out to inspect the job, he quoted me $900...approximately 40% more than the phone estimate. Though I signed up for the service anyway and put down a $200 check deposit, no one showed up on the designated day. I made 4 calls, sent one email and one text, and none of my inquiries were returned. I had also taken this day off work, and could have earned $350 through a self-employment gig. No one has yet to answer my inquiries to reimburse me my $200 deposit, and I will be taking this matter up with the BBB. Stay away from this company. read more

I had 6 waterproofing companies come out for an estimate on the thin cracks in my basement. Robert was prompt when he came to my place. It took him only a couple minutes to assess the cracks and provide an estimate. I was originally scheduled about 4 days out but Robert texted me the following morning saying he's able to come out that same day. His guys ended up being a few hours later but Robert did inform me of the delay. They used epoxy to seal the cracks, then pumped polyurethane inside to fill the concrete foundation through these "high pressure pins" spaces about 2.5ft apart. I was concerned that the urethane will not completely fill the cracks but they assured me it'll foam up and expand through the entire crack. They did leave the metal pins in the wall when they left. Apparently, the homeowner need to break the pins off and patch over it themselves. I just left them sticking out of the wall as-is. There is a transferable lifetime warranty on the seal job so I hope I'll never have to worry about it again. The price was very good compared to some other companies. I will use Establishment a Firm Foundation again in the future if needed. read more

DO NOT hire these people/company for your water proofing job. They are the worst. My sister hired them to waterproof her basement and put in a sump pump over 3 years ago. NOTHING they did was correct. Aside from that, they broke the wroght irong sink in her basement and replaced it with a plastic one. Who does that? Her floor has cracked open twice, she called for months and finally threaten to get an attorney before the owner sent someone to fix it. This was after he put white liquid in the crack and made her think the crack would seal. The sump pump battery pack was replaced three times with a used one. Now she is getting water in her basement again. These man should be PUT OUT OF BUSINESS. Check him out out BBB he has lost his accrediation because of poor work quality and being a thief. This has to be one of the WORST business I have ever dealt with!!!! "Establishing Firm Foundations" yeah, This company did work at my property about two years ago. My sink in the basement and basement door were damaged. Not to say the least, some months ago, I started having problems with the back-up battery for my sump pump for which was good to have according to the owner, Robert. I called Robert who came out and had to replace it which was suppose to be "brand new". Two months ago I started having the same problems. I called Robert again, this time he had one of his workers pick up the back-up and I was suppose to have a replacement in a couple of weeks. I called Robert again and he told me the company had to order one. Over one month goes by still no back-up charger, no call from Robert NOTHING!!! I called Robert again, this time no answer. I leave a message that this is the last time I'm calling and I will be taking further action. Today still, over two months, and I have not heard from anyone from this company!!!!
