I've been here several times over the past 10 years when we are in town. Always a great experience. The oversized chairs in the lounge are so comfy and worthy of a nap. Whatever you do, don't get a massage from Chris. I don't want to share! He's the best for deep tissue and Thai massage. Pro tip? Double down. Get the Thai massage to stretch out and then a classic massage afterwards to relax. read more

Wonderful pedicure! Hot stone massage and attention to detail provided a relaxing upscale experience.

I see this spa driving by all the time so we decided to book a couples massage with some extra additions for a much needed day of relaxation . We completed paperwork, arrived early and checked in. The staff was friendly that showed us around the facilities and our massage therapists were great and so nice! I'm giving it three stars because at the end of the massage , the extra additions were not provided and when I asked about it, they said they called me. There was absolutely not one call and I spoke to the spa twice that week. the front desk girl looked at me as if "ok what do you want me to do" I just paid a few hundred dollars to plan a day with my man to finally relax and have a day for us. I prepared and called ahead to confirm. The purpose of this business is the spa services provided. I understand mistakes are made and it happens. But when I mention it, you completely disregard it and literally say I don't know what to tell you. Good to know you will not take feedback and work to try to prevent it. I'm not making an appt for hundreds of dollars to a place that can't commit to an appt. Sucks because the therapists were really good. read more

Best spa/salon around! I have been going here for a few years now and always recommend it to my friends and family. The staff is great! Shout out to Kelly, Desiree and Scott for a wonderful and relaxing birthday of pampering! You all the real MVPs!!! I was given a $100 gift certificate for my birthday. Upon checking in at the desk I let the receptionist know I had a gift certificate. I asked if they wanted to check the balance and they assured me I could take care of it at the end of my visit. Everything was absolutely incredible except with the check out and payment process. I presented my $100 gift certificate towards payment and they explained it was already redeemed and the balance remaining was zero dollars. When the desk researched the account, they realized it was an error. The gift certificate was credited to the person who purchased it. Due to a glitch in the system the purchaser had the gift certificate as a credit on their own account and was able to redeem my gift certificate toward their own treatments. Due to their system error my $100 gift certificate was not valid and showed a zero balance. I was required to submit my $100 gift certificate and pay the remaining balance but they did offer a $4 discount for their $100 error. read more

This Spa has been my absolute favorite Spa! No where like it in Brevard or Orange County. Sadly today I didn't have the experience I was hoping for. I decided to splurge on the Hammam Ritual and had high expectations of this all inclusive service. Patrick was the therapist and he was great, this is not at all about him. The process of the service left me feeling regretful for spending that amount of money (240). There is a lot involved in this service and it just felt all too rushed through each step and was not relaxing at all. Patrick was great. He had a great personality, we laughed, and the massage portion was great, but not nearly long enough. Maybe I expected more " bang". I feel like for the same price I could have gotten the 80 min massage and facial and would have enjoyed it a lot more. The only reason I am giving this visit 3 stars is because of Patrick and Lauren. Now my facial with Lauren was AMAZING!!!! I would give her service 10 stars if I could. Anyway.... Save your money- it's not what it's cracked up to be. Go for the massage over the ritual.. the scrub/mud "wrap" "shower" left a lot to be desired. read more

Kim from the salon states in response to my review that I may have the wrong salon. Unfortunately not, Kim. The cut was several years ago, and my last name has since changed. The stylist was Jillian/Gillian or something similar. She hacked my hair. It took almost three years to grow it back. I stand by my review 100 percent. I'm attaching photos this time. read more

Amber is excellent at her profession. Attentive and good listener. Makes your experience relaxing.

Treated my wife to a massage and facial. She said both were amazing! Very nice facility and both techs were fantastic.

My experience at this spa was excellent. The staff was professional and organized from start to finish. My facial with Victoria was amazing, and my massage with Scott was also amazing. The relaxation rooms and locker rooms were clean and tidy, and oh so relaxing. I highly recommend. read more

This coming Monday will be three weeks I've been trying to resolve an issue with my monthly membership. The last time I was able to speak with anyone (Emily S.) was June 2nd to go over my missing rollover services and emailed proof the funds were deducted from my checking account. I've since called having to leave Emily messages for Emily, emailed, and personally stopped in, but she's never in. I've been coming to Essentials for almost ten years and have done nothing but praise This spa. From all my services to the products I have purchased has brought me joy. But, when I now have an issue with services that's owed to me and not showing...Essentials goes silent. Not even a return call for any type of update. I usually don't let things get to me but for the first time I walked out your front door just now in tears of how I'm being ignored by management. read more

Had a 1pm appointment today, called to inform the spa we were running 15 min late and the lady over the phone said okay no problem. when we arrive they claim that they were only allowed to accept 5-10 min. now we drive 30 min away for no reason and 10 min of the time we spent talking to someone that couldn't do something as simple as bring the manager and waste more time. also we watched the masseuse walk out of the spa while we were there. Making it look like he wasn't interested in taking care of us today regardless. made us feel really uncomfortable and would not recommend because of lack of communication and understanding. read more

Essentials is a beautiful spa and salon. I get my haircut there every few months, Carol does an amazing job and cuts it exactly the way I ask. The spa is phenomenal. The ultimate unwinder is my personal favorite thing to get. Their waiting area is so posh and relaxing. They have chai tea to make fresh and treats sitting out to enjoy. Their steam room and sauna id extremely nice too. Definitely give this place a try! read more

I have been to Essentials in the past for a partial highlight and cut. Both normally would cost $120. I was shocked when I went to checkout and was charged $150!!!! That's higher than any salon I've been to in Connecticut and Virginia!! It's crazy, and I won't be back! Don't waste your time and money here. read more

I received a phone call from the receptionist they needed to reschedule my appointment as the hairstylist is unavailable, not a big deal although it has happened before due to limited staffing an issues with air conditioning . Appointments can be hard to come by, that is why I book my MONTHLY appointments 3 to 4 months in advance. While speaking with receptionist explaining needing an afternoon appointment as I work during the day, all she kept offering was morning appointments I explained THREE different times. I need an afternoon appointment and would even see whoever they had part time , as I have my daughter, senior high school graduation coming up the end of the month . She kept offering me morning appointments and early afternoon appointments. SHE WAS NOT LISTENING!! It was very frustrating today, 5/7/24- needless to say after almost 2 years of going, EVERY MONTH, I will be looking for another place that is reliable.. Very sad because the stylist Carole does a fantastic job!! read more

I had an excellent spa experience. You can come up to an hour before and sit in the sauna or steam room. They offer beverages and snacks for free. You may get champagne or Mimosa's for a charge. Had a fantastic deep tissue with partial hot stone massage. As well as their signature facial. They were professional. It was extremely clean. They were very knowledgeable about what they do. They offer meditation classes. They also offer Medispa products and services. They offer memberships that are very reasonable. Excellent place. I enjoyed myself thoroughly. read more

I received a gift card for Christmas for a massage and facial. With it was a 15% off coupon for use at Essentials. Due to COVID I just went Saturday June 13,2020 for a 9:00 appt. As was posted on my on my email reminder to arrive 30 minutes prior to have a stress free check in with plenty of time to prepare for my treatments, I arrived to find the door locked--posted on the door was the opening hour of 9:00. Why have a customer come 30 minutes earlier when the business does not open til 9:00. Why would you make 9:00 appts? Also they were no longer honoring the coupon which expired March 30 during COVID closure. My massage by Dennis was excellent and the facial by Desiree was wonderful, but the these business practices are questionable. I have been there several times and expect better from a business that advertises professionalism. read more

I tried going here for a while and always had my hair appointments canceled. If you are going to threaten clients to charge cancellation fees then it should go both ways! At least make an effort to reschedule clients instead of calling a few hours before with a lame "sorry, you'll have to wait a month to get another appointment booked". Plus they stopped carrying my favorite all natural line - Kevin Murphy. Don't waste your time here! read more

December 2018 I was told that my wedding party and I were on the calendar for hair and makeup for my wedding in February 2020. I called recently to ask how much money they needed for a deposit and they apologized, but they booked a whole different wedding party the same day and could no longer take us. There was nothing they were willing to do for me. Good thing I called to ask, otherwise Essentials Salon and Spa would have RUINED my wedding day. I will never come here again. I can not believe how unorganized this staff is. If anyone is considering using them for your special day, don't. read more

I started seeing Cori for my nail services. She's absolutely wonderful. And my nails have grown so much since seeing her, I also love the fact my nail color doesn't chip. I also only get my nails done monthly and they last the entire time! I'm not rushed out or made to feel like a number. They take their time and everything is clean and disinfected. That's my biggest problem about the quick Asian places. You never see them truly clean the bowls, and they nickel and dime you for everything so I was paying over 100 for mani and pedi services there. I pay less here for my mani- gel and the highest upgraded pedi. I'm offered tea, water, and a lot of my pedicures comes with a special drink of the month! I signed up for the membership due to Cori! I can't wait to add on massages with Mike. The membership also offers a spouse add on for free. So when my husband needs a massage he can take mine free of charge! I love that my new area has a high end day spa! read more

2 bad experience! Made an appt with a particular Esthetician Over a month in advance because they are always booked up. Got there and they switched me out with some one else. After complaining offered be a "discount" of about 10%. After much discussion they finally said 50% off. Made another appt got the person I wanted (yay). Maid my follow up appt for about 2 months later. Got there today and said "sorry you don't have an appt" we switched over to a new system. But we can get you in with SOMEONE ELSE hours later and offer a "discount". Are you freaking kidding me?! I said my friend on the way we were having a spa day. "Well you welcome to hang out in facility while she having her services" oh yeah, that sounds like fun. Let me lounge around why she gets pampered!! Terrible customer service! I got in with Imperial for my services later today. While I really enjoyed going there. I'm done. I'm not paying that type of money for unreliable service and to be treated horribly! Such a shame!! read more

New to the area... Bought 500.00 in GC for my mom and I.... Lindsey, the receptionist was snobby and rude - and the nail-gal seemed fresh out of beauty school. Morgan- esthetician and Crystal- Massage Therapist were GREAT. 5 stars to them but I won't be back. I highly don't recommend this place. Comment on good places to go for a girls day around here! This review is for the Salon at Essentials, and the customer service that I received during my two recent visits. For background, I have used this spa at least semi-annually for the last four years for facials, massages and hair removal. The spa services are excellent, which is why I decided to indulge the salon. I booked a balayage, and brought a photo of the brown with subtle caramel balayage I wanted. The stylist seemed to understand perfectly. She began to foil my hair and I noticed she was putting the blonde mix on my hair up to the root all over. I didn't say anything because I wanted to believe she knew what she was doing. Sure enough after she washed and dried my hair it became apparent that instead of the balayage I was charged $190 for I got thick, bright highlights all the way to my scalp. I felt uncomfortable expressing this to her because there was a captive audience of three or four people right beside me in the waiting area so I politely thanked her, tipped $20 at the register and left. I called a few hours later to schedule a re-do with another stylist, and the receptionist who answered the phone was extremely rude with me. I had to explain why I didn't like the highlights, and after explaining (far more than I had to) that I'm in the military and I can't have these giant highlights in my hair, and not to mention I paid nearly $200 for a balayage I didn't get, the receptionist snapped back at me "I KNOW what a balayage is". I was then put on hold so she could ask someone if they were allowed to give me a redo. After ten minutes on hold I was told that she would take my phone number and call me back. Several hours later I received a phone call with an appointment time (they gave me one option, without regard to my personal schedule and gave me a hard time about trying to work around my schedule). I was then told that because of the time I needed, I wouldn't have time for a full balayage and that one stylist would start my hair and another would finish it. So I went in for my redo session and to make a very long story short, I was told the only way my balayage could be fixed was to cover the top of my head in dark brown and so I would basically have the same bright blonde highlights, just lower on my head. For the sake of my sanity and time, I just told her to give me a chocolatey brown all over. My hair is now black. I PAID $200 for a head of black hair. I asked for a refund *of the cost difference between a color and a balayage* $100!! I had to argue with the receptionist for no less than 20 minutes at the front desk, when all I had asked for WAS THE COST DIFFERENCE between what I asked for and the monstrosity that is now on my head. I was told "the redo session is the refund because they cover the $60". I expressed that what I got was nowhere close to what I asked for, and that only asking for the difference was more than reasonable. After reaching a stopping point where the rude young receptionist would only tell me no, I asked for whoever was in charge. Another 15 minutes later I was met by an apologetic woman, who would only offer me a store credit instead of a refund. I explained that I am in the military and will be overseas for six months, and won't be returning to the salon. Still, I was only offered a store credit and told that "it will never expire". I gave up and left, with my slip of receipt paper that although will "never expire", it will surely deteriorate before I ever return to this salon. I'm saddened to part ways with this business, because it was a convenient place to get a massage, facial and other services two to three times a year when I can come home on leave from the military. First photo is of the highlights I received instead of a balayage ($190) and second is the patchy black color I got to *fix* it. read more

I found this spa using Yelp about a month ago when I was traveling from Daytona to Ft. Pierce. It's about a 5 minute drive from I-95 and well worth the hour drive from Daytona! I got a lip and brazilian wax. I think it ended up being $65, but don't quote me on that. My attendant's name was Sima. She was soo great! She knew a lot about in-grown hairs and waxing. The entire place was very clean and classy. I felt very safe getting a brazilian at this spa. The process was quick, yet she spent time afterwards making sure she didn't miss anything. I arrived about 15 minutes early and was able to relax in their dark room and listen to music and drink tea. I think I spent a total of an hour there from waiting to check out. This is my new waxing place. :) read more

Wow, this place was a lifesaver! For all of you who are having weddings in Melbourne Beach, you know how limited of a selection there is for salon services! Perfect spot for the bridal party to come and get pampered in a soothing and relaxing environment. We came and got mani/pedi's before the wedding day. We also got massages and they were all fantastic!! Then we came on the wedding day to get blow outs. I was a little nervous because our entire bridal party was Asian American and our hair is a bit more difficult to work with. Unfortunately, all of our blow outs looked like we just washed & blow dried it ourselves. Only mine came out great but my hair tends to be easy to work with. I can't really blame them, they're in Melbourne Beach -- not L.A. or New York. The most important thing is that they are all super sweet, professional and do a very thorough job on their services. One weird thing is that the bride got a mani/pedi, and it lasted TWO HOURS! Holy cow, it really made us late for rehearsal because we didn't realize that she was still getting her nails done!! The manicurist was taking her sweet time doing everything super slowly and was very, very interested in our conversations. (Like, she was staring at US the entire time instead of what she was doing.) It was a bit weird, but of course didn't really bother us. But maybe it could have made her go faster?!?!? In my head, I guess taking a long time pampering is way better than rushing a service. They were able to squeeze in all of our services very last minute and they were super nice to us! Also, they have AMAZING chai tea!!!!!!!! One guy that worked there saw that we were going crazy over the chai tea so he told us that there was a CHOCOLATE chai tea and asked if we wanted some, and we said "YES!" So he had to go and get it just for us! So sweet!! I even bough a packet because I wanted my husband to taste it! SO GOOD!!! read more

I had never had a massage before and was given a gift certificate as a present. I was extremely nervous and my technician Stephanie was comforting and really sweet. The massage went well and the front staff was really nice. My only complaint is that there are signs everywhere strictly prohibiting the use of cell phones and when I went to the tranquility room there was a lady on hers and at least four staff members walked through and did not say anything to her. While it isn't hurting me that she had her cell phone out I would have really liked to have mine because I was just that nervous and sitting there felt like an anxious eternity! I have nothing bad to say the service they provide. However, every year I would get my wife a gift of twelve months of massages. About $850.00. They have stopped doing this, which I have no problem with. My wife has had 3 massages this year (2020, yeah I know) but they have done an "audit" and determined that my wife has zero more messages. I went for a salon service on May 27th. When making the appointment by phone earlier in the month I was assured that the salon was following CDC guidance and reopening regulations including masks worn by all staff and service people as well as social distancing between service stations and clients. NONE of those things were evident at the time that I arrived for my appointment. I was told at that time that no salon requirements regarding COVID were in place. What a bunch of nonsense! I did not stay for my appointment and was able to secure service from another salon that WAS following the guidelines and regulations. I followed up my appointment with an email with concerns and NEVER received a response! I guess a 6 year client does not deserve the courtesy of a return reply. Shame on you Essentials!! read more

Had a horrible experience this past Saturday. I had called and made an appointment for a couples massage for me and my new bride. Having been there before, we even requested specific technitions. They mentioned that they had given away the reservation to the "Martins".
