She really takes the time to creates masterpieces (for me at least) from my vague descriptions and general ideas to put together exactly what I have pictured in my head even with my poor descriptions... Not only that but she's fast and light handed while still being able to really pack in the color and clean line work... I've been tattooed by some heavy handed people so hers are so much easier to sit for and when you're in the chair for 4-5 hours that makes all a huge difference... I highly recommend Lucy R. I love my newest tattoo - done by Luke! The shop is pretty rad. It's very loudly decorated with an intense colorful mural - it's the first thing that catches the eye - and lots of beautiful works of art all over. The artists have their work in books scattered in the waiting area and are all very talented in their own personal style. You can find them on social media to further explore their work. When I walked in, we were greeted right away and taken care of. During my experience, walk-in customers popped in and were also acknowledged right away. The atmosphere is really friendly and welcoming. Needless to say, customer service here means a lot to the employees/owners and it shows! Most importantly, the place is very clean and up to date on all of its permits etc. I 100% recommend this place. I got my baby girl's footprints tatted on my left forearm in the shape of a heart and I love it so much! Luke is awesome! He was very thorough when asking what I wanted and is detailed in his work. My tat looks like I dipped my baby girl's feet in ink and stamped it on my forearm. He takes his time and carefully compares what he's tattooing to the printout while also being able to keep a cool conversation going. I initially went here to get a second helix piercing. Midori was very friendly and professional. She matched the direction of my initial piercing so the two piercings look like they were done at the same time. The first time I pierced my helix it was so painful. When Midori did this one it hardly hurt and is healing very quickly. While I was here I started looking at some of the artists work and was very impressed. I've wanted a tattoo for years but have always been scared. I started looking at all the artist's instagram pages and was very impressed with all three of the artists. A few years ago I saw one of Midori's posts on Facebook about migraines. She talked about Daith piercings and how they have helped a lot of people. I had my right side done. I was amazed at how much it helped my migraines. I had them less frequently and they were less severe. Recently I had to take it out for a MRI. After my 6th migraine in 2 weeks I made an appointment with Midori. I asked if both sides had better results and she said sometimes they shift sides after a daith piercing. Mine did. I have been here before and got my first piercing there but wasn't overly happy with my experience yet I decided to try it again because it's been a couple years and the prices were a little less expensive than other places. When I went, it wasn't busy so they took me quickly and the papers were easy to fill out. Both times I had Midori and she did my piercing really quick and I was in and out of the place within 10 minutes. Both times she didn't give me any aftercare instructions, I should have asked but it felt pretty rushed. What bothered me the most was how I didn't know until I was already in my car was how there was blood all over the tip of my nose plus the jewelry. My purse and wallet also had some dripped blood onto it. I wish I would've paid extra at somewhere else to have a better experience. read more

She's done over 900 Migraine reducing piercings (in a part of the ear) that has given partial or complete relief to a majority of her clients! Midori is ahhhhhhhhmazing!!! I've been battling migraines for years. :( I've also been researching the Daith piercing for awhile but have been hesitant bc I'm an RN & use a stethoscope daily. Finally I couldn't take it anymore! Thankfully Midori's blog post, along with multiple reviews of success led me to HER! Thankfully bc she's actually done the research to back it up!!! And although I deal with needles all the time, I don't like to be on the receiving end. Good thing she's calm, candid, and easy to be around. Not only did I get one side done, I went back for the other side! Now in all fairness she warned me that hormonal migraines may not be helped with Daith piercings. It was worth a shot. She recommends one side at a time to allow for healing in between. She also gives clear instructions on how to encourage proper care & healing. What I learned?!? The Daith not only substantially lessened my migraines, but it also put the kabosh on my anxiety! I highly recommend anyone with migraines try this! Knowing I won't wake up at 3am with stabbing vice grip around my head is incredible! Thank you Midori!!!! read more

Once again, I'd been wanting something but just had to wait until funds were available. Finally, I went in for my eyebrow piercing last fall. I knew I wanted a ring and had thought a simple silver one. Carlos showed me some other options and I'm very happy I went with the darker one. Always great to catch up with Carlos and he even let my friend and her daughter join us in the room (her and her husband have had multiple tats done there) . The piercing didn't even hurt and went quick. Not much else to say about that, really. good conversation with Carlos, though. :) A couple months after the piercing I needed to take it out and when it came time to put it back in I could not get the ball back, not even with my roommates' help. I stopped in Essential Ink really quick and Anna helped me out. Yeeeah! Saved me, 'cause I looked a bit ridiculous with the ring sans ball.
