This studio is amazing. The way Diana explains things is so easy for anyone trying to learn. Also if you are new to a group class she will also try and give extra explanation for any new stretches. I love the small class size. It makes things much more comfortable and you still get some one on one attention if you aren't posing quite right. Diana takes her time in each class to explain the why's and how's of every pose every movement and why it is so important to always maintain proper form. She is the most knowledgeable instructor I have ever had in that she just doesn't instruct a class - she teaches classes from her extensive knowledge of how the body works. She has adjusted my body more than once and has given me a set of exercises to do at home. My own Chiropractor endorses her. Honestly I would personally seek Diana's assistance in diagnosing something that is causing me pain - I love to hear her opinion. I have been a client at Essence for over 4 years - Diana and her staff have never been anything but kind to me. Since starting at Essence I eat healthier and have lost weight. I feel great and have made some friends along the way. During COVID she was one of the first studios to offer "zoom" classes and she did it from her heart only charging $5 or donation for classes. As for cleanliness - I am not sure where or when the pictures were taken in the previous comment - is it even at Essence please provide proof. The Essence I attend is extremely clean and tidy. From my experience signing up for class online is easy - then I go to the studio and I have never I mean never had an issue of the door being locked when I get there at the start of class. Also if you can't reach the studio just a hint - there is always someone answering the phones on Monday morning. And whenever I I can't reach someone I have left a message and they call me back within 24 hours at the most. From my experience Essence studio has had to do a lot of adjusting because of COVID. But haven't we all..... haven't most businesses - especially small businesses - it has been a time of adjustment for all of us. Above all Essence has helped me to achieve a sense of gratitude and patience. read more

My first experience with Essence was for a Yoga Retreat several years ago. It was such an uplifting and spiritual experience, that it started me on a journey of health and wellness. I ended up taking several workshops and classes from Diana, and ultimately signed up for the Yoga 200 hr. Teacher Training, which I am currently enrolled in. Diana is so knowledgeable and experienced in many different healing modalities, as well as yoga and pilates, health, nutrition, and well-being in general. She takes great care in making sure that folks don't get injured and works individually with people to make their time there the best possible experience. I'm surprised at the negative reviews as I've always found her to be extremely knowledgeable, fair, and invested in people having a positive experience. She is impeccable about the cleanliness of the studio and goes to great lengths to ensure it is a safe environment for all. read more

I have been a long-timer with essence. I appreciated how the studio dealt with the challenges of COVID and always felt very safe there when attending in person. The staff are very knowledgable and I consider many of them friends now. The atmosphere is truly something you have to feel in person to understand; it's like home to me, and even my kids appreciate the vibe there! I have earned my 200 hour yoga certification and am currently working on my 300 hr... in addition to having attended countless classes, workshops and trainings. This studio, under Diana's leadership and deep expertise is at the forefront of true health + wellness. We are so lucky to have this in NWOhio and I have found it invaluable. read more

This is such a wonderful studio with caring, well-trained staff that go the extra length for anyone! I have been a client for just over a year and Diana (the owner) is beyond knowledgeable and kind. I have watched how she works with new clients and it is magical how she helps them feel comfortable. I've met folks that have been with her and Cheryl for a very long time and they are all so happy. They call essence their "other home". All of the instructors care so much and I always look forward to going to classes. Anyone could come here and see the care that goes into all they do most especially now with COVID. The Zoom classes have been great when I can't get there. Try it out! read more

I have been attending classes and private sessions at Essence for the last 10 years. Once I discovered this facility I looked no further. I am a health enthusiast and enjoy the full circle of services offered. Diana is so committed to your well being. During classes she will talk about how to incorporate positions into everyday life, make suggestions for tweaking your diet, and tell you what is happening to your body as you hold a position. I have also attended classes with other instructors and found them equally committed. The class prices and monthly deals make Essence a good economical sense also. read more

I have been so impressed by the professionalism and flexibility of the staff at this studio. They have recently participated in a corporate wellness program for my company and far exceeded my expectations in every way. I was given more options for different services than I ever could have expected and our employees have been given valuable opportunities for different self care practices with the studio. I could not recommend them enough. read more
