We had a mishap with our hand caned counter stool that ended up needing the whole seat being replaced. We wanted to keep it local and chose Ehsan to help us out. He responded within the hour to request for a quote and he came over to the house to pick it the stool himself. The result is AWESOME!! He perfectly matched the caning color and it looks brand new!! A-Plus quality repair and customer service! We found out he does cabinetry and upholstery so we plan contacting Ehsan for future built-in media center! Thank you Ehsan!!! read more

We had an antique Monterey style chair that had cushions in need of reupholstering. The springs were sagging and the back was almost unusable. We found eSSa Studios and decided to go with the company not only because of the reviews but also the prompt and friendly response. Ehsan will pickup and deliver the furniture in home which was a nice bonus in traffic crazed San Francisco. There were a lot of fabric choices to choose from and we decided on one that went well with the sofa. When we received the cushions back they were as good as new. It was what we wanted and it turned out perfect. Thank you eSSa Studios for doing a fantastic job! read more

I had ancient seat coverings that had to go. I found just the fabric I liked on line, bought it and took it to eSSa studios (although they have a good fabric selection for you to choose from too ). They did a beautiful job. Friendly and vivid safe too. Totally recommend. read more

I was grateful that eSSa studios agreed to take this job because it was very small (building a drawer for a cabinet) compared to some of the projects that they usually do. I think Ehsan may have regretted accepting the job at times, because the drawer proved much more challenging than expected and required resizing a couple times, but he was positive and determined to get it right. I'm really delighted with the results, and so appreciative of Ehsan and eSSa studios!! read more

Great work on a stool we needed reupholstered. Friendly and timely team, provided good suggestions for materials and colors. Upfront about cost, reasonable pricing. Highly recommend and will use again for more complex projects. read more

Our counter stools have been the most used chairs in our home. During Covid they are usually the seat of choice. Ours, however became the most uncomfortable. Replacing them was not an option since the carving and wood matched our kitchen design. I called Essa studios and received a response from Ehsan, the owner that day. The studio is bright, clean and easily accessible. Ehsan is creative and very easy to work with. My chairs were done within 3 weeks including ordering the leather. They are so comfortable and beautiful. Definitely a five star studio both for service and final product. Thank you so much Ehsan! read more

I had a chair with two pieces of foam that needed to be glued together into one piece. They did it within hours and did a fantastic job. The price was even better. I would go to them again in a heartbeat. read more

I am a returning client of 6 years. eSSa studios consistently delivers beautiful, and well built, pieces. We have an end table, built by Ehsan 5 years ago, that not only has endured children climbing and spilling on it but it still looks almost-new. I highly recommend eSSa studios. read more

Ehsan does amazing work, is incredibly responsive and efficient, and was a delight to work with. I had two armchairs with broken legs that I desperately wanted to keep. Ehsan picked up the chairs, repaired them both within a matter of days, and dropped them right back off. I'm so thrilled that our family can finally sit and relax in our favorite chairs! Highly, highly recommend and look forward to working with him again on future projects. read more

Working with Ehsan was a wonderful experience. My Wife and I bought a ready made dresser from him in addition to designing and having him build a beautiful walnut platform bed. The Design process was a dream. We had our ideas and he took them, made clear designs from them, modified them when we had some dislikes until our perfect bed was made. He delivered on time and installed the bed in our home. We are also working with him on other projects including upholstering some antique chairs and a custom coffee bar installation. I would absolutely recommend working with Ehsan. read more

I highly recommend eSSa Studios. We love the banquette they reupholstered for us, and it was great working with them, from start to finish. Ehsan patiently responded to my (many) emails even before I committed to working with them. He was prompt, reliable, reasonably priced, the turn-around was quick, and most importantly, the finished product is beautiful. We couldn't be happier. read more

eSSa Studios helped me with a curtain project I had even though that wasn't really what they do. The owner did a great job considering what I gave him to work with. He also went above and beyond by picking up and dropping off at my home, so I wouldn't have to leave my 6 month old twins. This was extremely helpful for me. I would highly recommend them and hope to use them again some day. read more

I had several chairs and sofas restuffed and recovered by this company. The results are gorgeous and beyond comfortable. The chairs in particular look better than when I splurged on them in a fancy Belgian shop twenty years ago. Ehsan, the proprietor, is friendly and knowledgeable and has good design and color sense. I found him to be accommodating and super easy to deal with. I am finicky about color and finish and had been putting this project off because I was dreading being disappointed by mediocre results so was really delighted when everything turned out so well. They also do bespoke furniture design and construction and I will be back soon with another project. read more

Ehsa is great! We have had a problem with button on a couch cushion that a retail furniture store wouldn't make right. We found Ehsa on yelp and called and explained the issue. He said it sounded like it was an easy fix and offered to come to our house to fix it. We arranged a time he showed up right on time and fixed the cushion in just a few minutes. It was pleasant experience and Ehsa is obviously passionate about his craft. So nice to offer a review on such a refreshing experience. read more

In our lives there are many milestones that find a way to lodge themselves into that rolodex we call a memory. Milestones that we experience and subsequently tell ourselves we finally joined the ranks of the adult. Of coarse that is until the next experience proves the exception, and coincidently here I am having such an experience. First lets roll back that rolodex and revisit some of those lasting recollections, just to give reference. That day ones driver license first arrives in the mail, the child in the picture staring back at you with those aged and ever wise 16 year old eyes. How carefully you slid it into that Fossil wallet bought specifically for the occasion. The smell of leather erasing any remembrance of the velcro bill fold now discarded like so many other childish things you have no need for. Thumb through those aged card again and you come across that first beer you bought at the local dive bar. The half second that stretched itself out into eternity as you wait for the bartender to ask for your ID. In a moment of serendipitous while you hand over that laminated card you coveted only 5 years past, all you can think of is how young you look, those once wise eyes taking on a semblance of innocents. One more spin and you stop at your first bed. Not the one mom and dad bought you as a kid, nor the hand me down mattress you dragged to your first apartment. I'm talking about the day the mattress came off the ground, the day you purchased a bed frame and you slept two feet above the floor like a king, a king upon a queen, no bed skirt needed. Something so insignificant and yet so weirdly impactful. Which brings me to today, that day I gave my wallet a bed. Not just any bed, a tray handcrafted by Essa Studios. With it's natural walnut finish, the words elegant and rustic are able to intertwine seamlessly in a rare occurrence. Every night as I tuck in my wallet on the corriente cowhide I'm reminded of a time where wallets, keys, and sunglasses lay strewn in a haphazard pile, and I reflect to myself, "I can't believe I once thought I was so grown up." read more

We were very pleased with the work that eSSa studios performed to reupholster our old couch! The craftsmanship is excellent and the whole process was pretty smooth. I recently worked with Ehsan to turn a recessed wall in my dining room into a custom shelving unit. I sent rough sketches of ideas I had to Ehsan and a few other companies but was immediately impressed by Ehsan's responsiveness, fair pricing, and creativity. He took my few designs, turned them into sketches, and gave me many more similar ideas for my shelving unit with build in cabinets. When our wall proved to be tricky to work with during installation due to uneven lines, Ehsan looped in his experienced partner and they came up with a solution in no time. The final result looks incredible. It was a pleasure to work with Ehsan through this whole process --he's friendly, professional, and delivers incredibly high quality work. The pieces are beautiful and have vastly improved the appearance of the room they're in. Furthermore, Ehsan was a pleasure to work with - prompt, pleasant and professional. Very good customer service! They did a terrific job on a cushion of mine. Nice person and went the extra mile for me.

Nothing but the highest praise for Ehsan and his team! Recently we had some tearing of the linen fabric on our couch cushions and after receiving multiple quotes from various upholstery services, Ehsan's was both highly responsive, detailed, informed, and fairly priced. I brought in the cushion and spent time with his team digging through various fabric swatches to find the best match. We found what we thought was a perfect match and Ehsan and his team came up with a creative way to only replace the top half of the cushion to save both time and money for me. They turned the job around in a week and it looks perfect! Ehsan was great to deal with, helpful, responsive via text and overall a pleasure! I'd recommend him to anyone in the Bay Area and I'm sure I'll use his services again! read more
