Just a note to all, this place is 110% family friendly, I cannot emphasis that enough - if this is okay with you then you can let your terrors - I mean treasures run amuck in the indoor playground. Humour aside, be wary that it is normal here to listen to the loud screams, and try not to trip up around kids running around your feet. The staff here must have some great juggling skill to carry out hot dishes while dodging kids - not an easy feat with the playground situated right next to the salad bar, service counter and bar.
Aside from this, I tend to return as I often go on a 1-2 hour walk at Brighton beach and the Espy does a decent meal. If you are lucky, try and claim a window seat at the front to enjoy the beach views.
The salad bar is one of the best I've tried so far, with one side for hot sides such as baked potatoes, pumpkin and sweet potatoes, veggie bake, potato bake, and steamed veggies. On the other side is your salads - beetroot, coleslaw, garden salad, potato salad, pasta salad and apple and walnut. A bit too heavy on the dressing for my liking but still quite nice.
I tend to see alot of big groups here, birthdays or celebration of some sort seems to be a regular thing at this joint. And look out for their daily specials - definitely helps the budget conscious. read more
