I luckily made a reservation for my Saturday birthday brunch with some girlfriends. Thank god I…read moredid, it was hectic! An obviously popular café in Glenelg located on Broadway. A nice change from Jetty Rd, great food and drink options. Arriving mid morning, It was very popular with the majority of seats taken up. Quite a good amount of seating inside and out, with the option to buy your produce from the adjacent shop. I went with poached eggs and avocado on toast, eggs were cooked perfectly and the avocado mix was beautiful. I grabbed a Go Go goji juice which was delicious also. Friends chose the veggie fritter which was also given the thumbs up. Friendly staff and they were happy to help with your order and despite being busy, our orders came out within a reasonable time frame for a Saturday morning. Definitely worth a look if you are in the Glenelg area and want somewhere a bit quieter than the bustling Jetty Road.

Gorgeous coffee, and a magnificent slice of pear and ginger cake - yum! The breakfasts that were coming out looked devine, so I'm looking forward to trying that out too. I also spied some yummy looking wraps and other lunch items on the board. Staff were friendly, and there is plenty of seating - so glad we left before the cyclists arrived though - *shudder* - nowhere is safe from them!!! We also did a bit of shopping next door in the little organic shop - it's only small, so the range isn't massive - but they do stock soap nuts, which I was very impressed with (they are nuts that you use instead of laundry powder - highly recommended!). We also sampled (and bought) some gorgeous sour dough bread made by Small World Bakery, which was delicious. All in all, this is definitely a place we will visit time and time again - yay!

I've only ever been here for coffee on a Sunday afternoon and the coffee is worth a mention but by all accounts they're better known for their Thai Food. I just wish I'd known about their reputation when I went there because I am quite partial to a good serve of Pad Thai. They have a good selection of tables inside as well as a small but really cool outside area that is dog friendly. There's just a few tables here but they face onto the street and it's a great spot to watch the world go by on a lazy Sunday afternoon. I will be going back here very soon for a Thai meal. Interesting, pretty, inviting and you can see that actual thought was given rather than just plopping it on the plate. I was in a group of 7. The service was fast, efficient and friendly. Staff took the time to chat and smile, share their story of where they were from over taking your order or cracking your pepper! Everyone's food looked delicious. I order the chicken Mediterranean. The saltiness of the mash overpowered the delicate flavours of the apricot and stuffing, but it was still a good meal. Chicken was tender and I had the happy feeling at the end. All that counts right? Lol Save room for desserts and coffee. They have a nice selection. The tiramisu is a good size to share with a friend. Go on....get your romance on.
