We went to Mojo's Barbeque tonight with my parents and were really looking forward to it,…read moreespecially since we've had good experiences with their catering in the past. I ordered the brisket with mac and cheese, baked beans, and toast. My mom had the same, and my dad got the turkey with fries and collard greens. We also shared an order of fried pickles. The fried pickles were actually really good and probably the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the rest of the food didn't meet expectations. The brisket was quite dry, and the mac and cheese seemed like it had been sitting for a while and had hardened. The baked beans had a very strong onion flavor that made them difficult to eat, and the toast just tasted like plain bread without any garlic or seasoning. Overall, it was disappointing considering the price of the meal. I only managed a few bites of the sides and one slice of brisket. My parents ended up taking most of it home for their dog since we couldn't finish it. It was especially disappointing because we've used Mojo's for catering before and had a great experience, so eating in felt like a completely different quality level.

The sandwich was super juicy and packed with flavor -- the sauce and that tangy pickle taste really made it stand out. The mac and cheese was creamy and satisfying, and while the side portions are on the smaller side, it actually ended up being the perfect amount for me. Service was a highlight. The staff stayed attentive the whole time and kept checking in. Our food did take a little while to come out -- about 45 minutes -- but they were communicative and made sure we were taken care of while we waited, which made a big difference. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming with a cool blues-themed décor and light music in the background. It was dinnertime but surprisingly not busy, which made for an easy, laid-back experience. Parking was simple and convenient. One small suggestion: cushions on the wooden benches would make a big difference. With the wait and the amount of time seated, they became a bit uncomfortable. Overall, great food, great vibe, and solid service. Definitely worth a visit.

The coleslaw was nothing but shredded or diced cabbage that seem to missed the main ingredient mayo or some kind of slaw mix. The corn was the only tolerable edible. I ordered thorough Ubereats so I would say the service was about average in terms of wait and delivery time. Mostly likely I wouldn't eat here again. If I did, I would have to try something else entirely. Defintelty not worth the hype.

Since I hadn't been there in a few years, it was definitely time to go back. The onion rings are delicious and HUGE! They are double-breaded and served with buttermilk ranch dressing. One of the standout items on their menu is a sandwich called "The Smitty." This impressive sandwich is packed with beef brisket, smoked sausage, cheddar cheese, mustard sauce, onions, and pickles. It delivers an incredible BBQ flavor in every bite. I particularly enjoy the flavor of their brisket! It was a great visit, and not much has changed. It still has good food and even better service. It's one of those comforting places. I just need to visit more often.

I learned that the museum of science is expanding to a new home and it will take some years for the official move and space. Throughout my travels , looking for staples in the community that offer hands on learning, family friendly spaces, and a budgeted treat truly takes time to explore. Today I walked through showcases filled with history from the Victorian era; some relics were plants and photos from the 1970! I hadn't been inside a planetarium in a few years and you still appreciate the wonder when you hear children awe at the science and story telling in front of their eyes. All the staff were incredible , helping answer and questions they had- a major shout out to Vystar credit union as a volunteer partner making the day impactful for the masses.
