They just won 3rd place in the innovation category at One Spark this year and intend to use the money to start a food truck for the students to sell their produce! Local restaurants even use their produce (Native Sun, Tossgreen, etc). We visited as part of Slow Food First Coast's Tour de Farm 2014 after seeing their set up at One Spark. It's on the small side (it's in the back of the school) but they grow tons of different stuff! Blueberries (their first produce, hence the name of the farm), kale, lettuce, flowers, anything you could imagine. They also have 2 large tilapia tanks and have a system in place that uses the tilapia water/waste to fertilize the plants. For the event there were FSCJ culinary students on hand making really tasty food from the Berry Good Farms produce (lettuce wraps, smoothies, wheat grass shots, etc). Not only does Berry Good Farms produce awesome products, they teach their students to grow and prepare all kinds of food. I can't wait until their food truck is on the streets!

On the rare occasion he doesn't finish his work at school because of a doctor/dentist appointment, he comes home & immediately completes his work. He NEVER cared about his schoolwork & homework was ALWAYS a struggle until he started at Center Academy at St. John's Bluff. I am so thankful to have options such as this school because some kids just don't do well at large public schools and need different accommodations that other schools can't offer. Plus we have NEVER had a bullying issue or anything even close to that. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Center Academy if your child has unique needs.

It was 4 hours long as mandated by the State of Florida; but could be condensed into a one hour video. Barbara was the instructor and she did a fantastic job. She keep everyone on the right track so we completed on time. At the end of class you are giving a TRUE/FALSE 10 question test and have to get 7 correct to pass the class and get a certificate.

The staff was absolutely incredible and they made us feel like we were part of their family. Ms. Karen is an absolutely incredible teacher and my daughter still talks about her to this day like many of Ms. Karen's former students. I was absolutely stunned at the quality of instruction my daughter received at LCN. She quickly learned her alphabet and then learned to recite it backwards which I still can't do. Then she began to cite the Greek alphabet and I am a little ashamed but when she asked for help I had no idea what the next letter was. By the end of the year my daughter was beginning to read and she was beginning to solve math problems. I was so proud of my daughter and the staff at LCN and I would highly recommend them without hesitation.
