I was fortunate to earn both my BSN and FNP through Chamberlain University. The support,…read moreflexibility, encouraging staff, supportive instructors, and personalized feel truly made my time with Chamberlain an experience to remember. Thank you for making me an Extraordinary Nurse!

Think twice before choosing this school…read more My main problem with this school are the inexperienced staff, disjointed program, constantly changing standards and procedures, and cost. Problem one: Inexperienced staff. You will be told about how many of the staff have advanced degrees in nursing and they do. However, just because you know how to perform a procedure does NOT make them instantly wonderful at TEACHING a procedure. I attended classes where over 1/2 of the class FAILED THE COURSE. This would not be such a big deal, however, (and you will only find this in your student handbook, that you get AFTER you have enrolled) you can only fail 2 nursing courses before you are kicked out of the school. Problem two: Disjointed Program Your basic underlying basic classes such as Biology, chemistry etc are provided by DeVry university. These 'non-nursing' classes can be passed at 70% level. Again, only after you have enrolled you are informed that nursing courses must be passed at a 76% level. Problem three: Constantly changing standards and procedures Time windows for testing, procedures for classes are a constantly moving target. DO NOT TRY TO WORK OR HAVE ANY SOCIAL LIFE WHEN ATTENDING THIS SCHOOL. At one point, weekly quizzes could only be taken on Sunday, when the school was closed! Problem four: Cost Coming straight from High School with no prior College. $650 * 120 = $78,000.00 Coming in with 1/2 of your college completed $650 * 60 = $39,000.00 In-state at UNF Coming straight from High School with no prior College. $144 * 120 = $17,280.00 Coming in with 1/2 of your college completed $144 * 60 = $ 8,640.00 $60,720 Greater cost to go to Chamberlain. So which would you rather have a degree from Chamberlain or a degree from University of North Florida and a brand new car?!

I graduated from FCSL in 2010. I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spend learning about law at FCSL;…read moresometimes I find myself missing the lectures and the community of aspiring lawyers I encountered during those 3 years. I'm now a corporate employee for Skechers USA in Manhattan Beach, CA. I love my job and FCSL enabled me to achieve all I have. The education was very valuable, the professors became mentors and friends and I was never a number, I was always an individual. I was accepted into 4 law schools out of the 8 I applied to. I chose Florida Coastal because they allowed me to sit in on a first year Torts class during my visit and I loved how students were excited to learn and the professors were hard on them but at the same time helpful and pushed them to be their best. The atmosphere felt like a big family.

While at Coastal Law I met many wonderful students and faculty that became like family who helped shape me into the person I am today. I was in a new city, so I got heavily involved in pro bono work. This allowed me not only to get to know Jacksonville the city, but also the legal market. Without the support of my professors, the staff, and administration I would not have thrived as I did in law school. Yes, law school is hard, but at Coastal Law I was provided with the resources not only to learn, but to be successful after graduation. It was a great experience and has heavily influenced my passion to help others see the benefit of attending law school and that anything is possible if you put in the hard work.
