With all the CPR courses I have taken, I can tell you that no one does it like Carlos at First Coast Training Center. The places I have been to in the past have either made us share the mannequins, watch back-to-back videos, or did everything possible to make the course unbearably long and boring. Carlos is an expert at what he does. He knows how to make the class fun, and keeps things short & sweet. He doesn't over-complicate anything & is always watching over us as we do our skills & giving us feedback. He also plays music in the background as we do our practices. It makes it a lot more fun than counting in our heads or humming to ourselves. The class is $50 and you can either pay full or pay a $25 deposit when signing up & then pay the rest after the class. Each person got their own mannequins to practice on (both baby & adult), and we didn't have to partner up with anybody. You do have to take a test at the end of the class. It is 25 questions - all multiple choice. I'll be taking my CPR courses at First Coast Training Center from now on. read more

First Coast Training Center is by far the best CPR training center I have ever been to. The ability to complete an online module at home and go in for a skills session made the whole process so simple and easy. Additionally, this business is an outstanding supporter of working moms! I wasn't sure if I'd be able to find childcare for my 2 month old and upon reaching out to First Coast Training Center, I was told that as long as she could stay quiet in her car seat or stroller for the 30 minute skills check, I could bring her with. Ultimately, I found someone to watch her for the brief time of the skills session but the flexibility and support I felt as a working mother was phenomenal and for that, First Coast Training Center will always have my business!! read more

I don't even know where to start. Tara was very patient in walking me through registration, making my heart.org account, making sure I am ready to attend the class. They are very easy to talk to and always available. In the class room its organized and clean. The actual lecture is very informative and I really appreciate their tele strip course and Its the first time I truly understood how to tell which cardiac artery is possibly involved in an ischemic event (depending on which consecutive leads st elevation is seen). Rachel was so encouraging and informative. She even took time answering my questions in the end of the class. I stress out with written exams but they made us all feel at ease. The instructors here are amazing. They are relaxed yet professional and they make the courses easy to understand. I have worked in the ICU, but it was not until my third time renewing my ACLS that I finally understood ACLS and it was all because of the instructor I had at First Coast Training Center. Thank you!!! I missed out on so much education before I started coming here. I also did my BLS with them and I'll be going back as long as they are around! It was an easier process than I thought . First Coast Training Center was phenomenal! They are very responsive as far as scheduling & ur even able to text them which is a plus most places don't offer that besides email or a business line . It's worth every penny & once ur done which ever course You choose You'll walk out feeling ready to save some lives! 2022 - this year it was Marco, who was a great instructor. He was lively and kept us interested the class flew by. He helped stress the reality of the situation you might be in to help create a more realistic view of giving CPR. His experience brought some good stories and helped us remember why we were taking the class. Thank you. 2020 - Carlos always keeps us engaged; I like how this class puts you in realistic situations instead of just doing book work. Great class! Excellent instructor!! Highly recommended!! 5 stars!! I've been a nurse for many years and this was the funnest class I've ever been to and I feel like I learned more than before and also retained my instruction better. I've never been to a "fun" CPR class before today. It was quite enjoyable and was not long and drawn out. They focused on cleanliness before, during and after the class and even provided a variety of snacks. I can't say enough good things about this place!! Hands down(pun intended) BEST CPR/BLS Class I've EVER had. I did my CPR class with Florida Career College now know as Anthem, and FCTC still topped FCC/Anthem CPR class! It was very energetic, entertaining, and so easy to grasp. Heather was AMAZING!!! She made sure everyone did EVERYTHING right and corrected when we were wrong in a friendly but direct manner. Even amid a pandemic, we were very safe w masks, hand washing and cleaning the mannequin! I would definitely recommend this center for CPR/BLS/First Aid. First Coast CPR was the best experience ever! The teacher Rachel was very welcoming and engaged the whole entire time! They also provided snacks during the class in the middle which was very awesome. I really learned and highly recommend you go to them for your training or whatever certification you may need in CPR. I was pleased and will be going back in two years! Got my CPR/BLS/AED certification today. Carlos was a great instructor and extremely passionate about the healthcare field. The class was super fun and informative. I came in knowing very little about CPR and I now feel very comfortable with the information that was taught. Carlos was super personable and made the class enjoyable. I walked in ready to be bored out of my mind for 4 hours so this was definitely a nice surprise. I have attend training classes at the First Coast Training Center for the last 6 years, and have had excellent experiences. They were very friendly, professional, and skilled in their abilities. Being a former CPR instructor, I rate them a 10. Additionally, the class was individualized since COVID-19, but still everything was covered, stressed, and reviewed prior to the exam. I am working to get my EMT license transferred to FL, so this is the third or fourth time I have gotten my BLS training renewed. This was by far the most engaging and fun experience I have had renewing my CPR certification. As a retired teacher, I was delightfully surprised by how easy and fun the learning process was, and I was impressed by how everyone in the class was paying attention, every one of us with a smile on our face. This year was the first time I used First Coast to renew my CPR card, and I'm so glad. Heather was more than awesome, she made it enjoyable, not boring and we even had fun. when you first enter you filled out a Covid questioner, washed your hands, everyone wore mask and social distance was maintained. The training center was so clean and accommodating. They provide free snacks and drinks. The class is dry, however Our instructor was phenomenal and made it as fun as possible. Now, onto the real review; 1 week after my class, I was babysitting and the baby started choking. Instant reaction was to take her and flip her. I am a repeat customer at First Coast for my BLS training. I'm able to do the "classroom" portion online at my leisure and schedule the return demonstration when it's convenient for me. Prices are decent and the classrooms and mannequins used are top-notch. My instructors have always been excellent, no-pressure, let's get it done people. Always friendly but professional. Carlos is the bomb!! I've never had such and informative and fun class ever! I would recommend him over and over again. I was a little tired as it was at the end of the workday for our office but the energy he brought was awesome! Excellent training! Dealing with a serious event, a heart attack or heart arrest, Carlos informed us of the specific actions to take and how time is of the essence. He was knowledgeable and available to answer all questions. Carlos made the training fun while, at the same time, set the tone that if we're in a situation to do CPR, it will most likely be chaotic. The first time I took the class I had a tough time understanding the lesson so I didn't pass the test so that was upsetting but the instructor was kind enough to let me come back again and and retake the course again for free. She was very helpful and it was very hand on all the way through and you could ask questions at any point in time.
