She is thriving, learning, and so happy to go to school every day. It's a wonderful, tight-knit community of families with plenty of opportunities for us to connect with other parents and staff throughout the year. We've been so amazed by the immense impact the Montessori approach has made in our child's independence, language skills (both Spanish and English) and compassion.

My oldest completed 3 years there, staying through her kindergarten year, then moved to our neighborhood elementary. Her experience was absolutely wonderful, and I only wish they had an elementary school as well. However her transition to public school has been seamless and I credit Casa for giving her such a strong emotional and intellectual foundation. My youngest goes there now as well. Casa is a loving and caring community, it is the kind of bubble of childhood innocence that you want your child to be in during the tender ages of 3-6. I believe that Casa has fostered independence, confidence, and creativity in my children. My kids do things at home like dishes and folding that are definitely not the types of tasks I would have thought they could do, and they enjoy it because it's doing real work, and they are comfortable challenging themselves. The gift casa has given me is to help me realize that my children are capable of so much more at a young age than I would have ever thought possible. And I feel that the parents who choose to send their kids there have similar values a us, which is great as we have become close with several families. Don't be scared off by the possibility of a long waiting list. Get in touch with the amazing staff and get the details for yourself.

From the attitude ("our school is typically booked years in advance, so you're very fortunate to have my time") to the inadequate understanding of Montessori methodology to the fact that there is only 1 actual teacher (and a $5/hr assitant) for classes of 28 students. Suffice to say, there were 3 teachers all out today which should say something about the dedication towards those poor kids in the program. And to top it all off, the director actually had the audacity to harshly scold our 3 yr old son for leaning up against the wall with one shoe back, making him cry. Simply put, this school is a complete scam which only has students due to the great location and the fact that most parents are suseptible to the fact that "waitlists" equal great programs. While searching for new childcare for her and our one year old son after our old daycare closed due to Covid, we were so incredibly lucky to come across ABCDee. Alison is very communicative and always has the kids best interests at heart. The center is clean, safe, and the staff is incredible and very loving of all the children. They provide meals, diapers, and wipes, which really takes some of the stress off of childcare. They use the Brightwheel app, so we always get pictures of the kids throughout the day, as well as messages and questions about anything going on. The best daycare we've been to in Austin (and as I said, we've been to a lot). I cannot recommend ABCDee enough for your kiddos.

I toured multiple places around Austin, and none of them fit the bill. They were either too expensive for the "value" they provided, the location was unsafe, or the teachers seemed to not give two s**** about your child. When we toured ABCDee, both my partner and I left teary eyed, we felt such a huge relief feeling confident about where we were sending her everyday. Now, a year later and it wasn't a honeymoon phase. Every classroom, every teacher, all the staff (especially Ms. Maria - home cooked meals and snacks EVERYDAY), have exceeded our expectations. We had the sad thought today of "but what about when she has to go to elementary school", we don't want her to leave!!! Knowing that your child is loved and cared for when they can't be with you is a gift we would pay any price for. Alison and Connie run a great school. Thank you for all that you do!! We love y'all.

PBLs take a kid's natural curiosity in a subject and show them how to combine ALL their school subjects (STEM, Social Studies, Language Arts, Hebrew, art and music) to present what they've learned. The kids learn how to present starting in kindergarten-- I'll never forget the first time my kid presented their Portfolio, I had no idea this 5 year old was capable of being so prepared, articulate, and confident. My jaw must've dropped a foot. I was just blown away!!! This child comes with some extremely unique, diagnosed developmental and learning challenges that, I've realized in the years since, would likely be too challenging to work with in a public school class three times bigger than his is. At AJA my kids get so much individual support, not just from their teachers but from every adult in the building. Academically, my kids are thriving. The expectations are high, and the teachers have been so talented and creative in their approaches to supporting my kids (not by coincidence-- they are constantly doing new faculty trainings). Our more neurotypical child has thrived and been encouraged to really push herself as well, and as a result has discovered proclivities for math specifically. I've wondered if, in a much larger class, this kiddo might have been kind of lost in the mix as a good-enough B student. Money well spent in my opinion! And then there's what brought us here: the Jewish education. I can see the way the school integrates Jewish values into the kids' daily lives. I see my children actually enjoy participation in Jewish culture and tradition, and apply lessons from our ancient texts to their modern day lives. They know exactly who they are and where they came from. They teach me stuff now!!! It makes a Jewish mother proud.
