I got a regular pedi & dip powder mani. Pedi- I think the girl was newer so I didn't complain but she did not pay attention to detail callous and cuticle work. Paint job seemed to take a little bit longer, but still turned out good. Mani- *main reason for the review* I casually stopped in visiting from out of town. Pedi was ok but nails where different lengths and I left with polish on my skin. ** I had the worst dip mani here- half way through I almost told her to stop. Don't go here. I've been here many times as it is very close to me. I've dealt with the rudeness but today I am done. They ate SCAMMERS. Hannah is the worst. About 3 months ago she claimed I never paid her for my eyebrow wax that I had months before that. So she charged me twice. I'll let go the crappy manicures they give but today I went in for a pedicure. I got 3 text messages for 10% off from them first my bday. Hannah tried to rip my phone out of my hand when I showed her. I grabbed it back and she said show my manager. It was not the manager and when I showed him my texts he went to try and delete the messages. I screamed at him as this is my personal property. Hannah then goes to check me out and shocking she didn't apply the discount. I refused to pay and finally the nasty owner made the change. Hannah is the rudest person. Updating ...changing from 4 stars to 1 star. First few trips were good ....last few not good. First few times there was attention to detail, care and time taken to do good job. Last few times... no attention to detail, no care and techs was more interested in talking to other workers than paying attention to tasks at hand. The techs were also far more concerned with who was coming in and what customers they are missing out on. No consistency here... some techs much better than others. I feel not all techs are licensed to be pedicurists....some seem to know what they are doing and others don't. There are many spas to go to...I think my wife and will choose another. We go every 2 weeks for pedicure... I get the basic and my wife gets a luxury version and polish/color. Avg bill is over $80 plus tip. We gave this place too many chances... Never again. read more

I had a terrible experience with Hanna. She was constantly distracted by other people and events. I asked if she were a manager as she seemed to be involved in every decision going on in the whole salon. I felt like an aside to her. I paid extra for a scraping. She did the bare minimum on one foot and an even quicker pass by on the other. She gave my manicure a little more attention but even with her undivided attention did a mediocre job. I went for my first visit for a pedicure in April, and the nail tech did a fabulous job on my gel pedicure. Went back yesterday with a different nail tech and did not like the services I received for a number of reasons. The main reason being she was very distracted/rushed and missed putting a top coat on the nails of my left foot. I didn't realize there was no top coat until I was home later. I went back today to have the top coat put on (by the same nail tech) and she apologized for missing the top coat, and then tried to upcharge me and ask if I wanted a polish change? Just got my first and last pedicure here. I was immediately greeted by a very unfriendly technician. Didn't set the tone well but was still optimistic. She asked me if I wanted my toe nails shortened and I said yes. After a while my big toe started to feel weird, I look down and she had cut my nail so unbelievably short!!!! Then she precedes to tell me that it wasn't. She finished the mediocre pedicure that was $34, when I could have paid less elsewhere for a better outcome. She cut the nail so short that it hurts when I walk!!! Not only that but the polish on my pinky toes all just slide completely off the nail!!! I have never experienced this in my life. Wow...where do I start? FIRST...AVOID this establishment. Made an appointment for a pedi/mani with jels. Asked specifically for someone whom was recommended. While the pedi was below average at best, the complaining about my nail polish was annoying. Further, listening to what you say is a big weakness for this salon. When it was time for the manicure, they started thinking I wanted acrylics and started filing down my top coat of nails. By the time I asked again why are you filing my nails down...he said it was for acrylics~!!! Really, I made an appointment for manicure. He rudely made it clear he specializes in acrylics. Ended up with just a polish, minus manicure. Even that was done with jagged edges That had to be filed down when I arrived home. I'll repeat, find another establishment. read more

Gel nails. NO!!! I had beautiful nails (from the salon in my hometown) and came here as a new customer for a fill. The "fill" that takes 45 minutes in my old salon took 20 minutes, my nails were off kilter and wonky looking and the product itself just looks cheap. I can see several different layers of product on various nails, almost as if there are varying thicknesses or maybe some patches of white substance under the clear gloss. And all of the pointy nails that are on their profile photos? This is how mine came out too, even though I started with a more rounded, less claw-like look. Just creepy. It is now 2 days since these gel nails were applied, and I am going to another salon on Monday to have the whole set redone. read more

Been here a couple times so I thought I should take my daughter while she was in town. We walked in and the guy asked how they could help. I said 2 mani/2 pedi. He said it would be a few minutes and that we shouldn't be rude and leave. WTF? So we wait our turn and they rushed us both through. The people were rude and my nails chipped before I was home. By day 2, all of the polish had peeled off. When we turned down the special gel mani, we were told we were the only ones in the city that doesn't do gel. It doesn't work so well to justify the extra price IMO. Anyway, the guy doing my daughters nails told her that if she painted her own nails, she was going to get fungus. Really? Rude to customers going there over 3 years always made appointment with same technician she always running late never said anything to her this time I was 10 minutes late for 9:00 appointment and she was doing someone else was told it would be 30 minute wait I ask for someone who could do me now she said I was being rude? I go to this salon every two to three weeks for pedicures, manicures and eyebrow waxing. I've had several different technicians, all who have been courteous, professional and gentle. I find this salon to not have the overwhelming odor of nail products as others do and their polish lasts longer. I like the layout and pedicure chairs here as well. read more

The board stated 35 on the price list, but the guy who did my nails who was very fast working and I never had such an awful massage in my life on my feet and legs! I am new in the area. Escape might have just moved and remodeled the CocoPlum facility, but the Customer Service is the WORST I have ever experienced! They could care less whether you return or not! They are rude and inconsiderate! The quality of what their expertise should be is the worst! It appears that they use their tools without sterilization and they do a sloppy job at that! Honestly.... this is the first time I've ever felt compelled to take the time out of my day to write a review. This was by far the worst experience of my life. I spoke to a man, set an appointment for 12:30 and come in 5 minutes before. The three stare at me as if I'm lying or confused? And I interrupt and say "I mean I spoke to a man, and considering there's only one in here..." and he looks down and mumbles something in Vietnamese and the woman says "can you come back in thirty minutes?" I was a little irritated because I had to push back another appointment I had but I got over it. I come back, just in time to hear an elderly woman yelling at them. Normally I'd roll my eyes, but she was right. The woman set an appointment for 1, drove all the way from Venice, and they told her to "come back in an hour." After arguing more, they say "fine, half hour, okay?" And the woman says "no actually it's not. Why do you even want appointments?" And left. The woman doing my nails was joking around with me a bit; I started to feel a little more relaxed. But once the phone calls started rolling in for appointments, she had such a poor attitude. Laughing at people for even asking if they had availability. And she starts rushing through my nails and over coating some, and leaving others shaped incorrectly. When I brought it to her attention, she tried blaming me for not holding my hand straight! The polish was a mess, the shape was off, I was irritated. She rushed through my toe polish change then left me sitting there for another appointment. I put my shoes back on and headed to the dryer and she yells "have a good day" and I told her I still needed to dry my nails. She says "you don't need to dry gel polish." And I said "I don't have gel polish on my toes, I need to dry my toes and she basically mocks me and says "you said nails" needless to say, I left her 4 on 50. If I had it in me in me to leave 0, I would have. I normally don't have a problem telling someone off but she was getting it left and right and seemed overwhelmed. Went in late Friday evening, for a mani/pedi also with my mom & grandma. They were slightly hurried because of the late time we came in at but still happily served us. Hanna did mine and was lovely! Lovely! Lovely! So sweet and not pushy or rushing me to make any choices, or hassling me to get anything I didn't want. UNPROFESSIONAL, UNDERQUALIFIED STAFF WITH POOR COMMUNICATION AND CUSTOMER SERVICE! Poorly applied gel nails-nail paint had melted onto skin. When I raised my concerns, the male staff member claimed after applying gel nail varnish that he was not qualified to apply gel nails and when I requested removal he shouted and demanded I pay. He then suggested he would remove them and repaint them but instead he defaced my nails using an electric nail file and asked me to leave. Strongly suggest avoiding Escape and Escape 2 until management have addressed these issues and considered retraining staff members on both application of gel nails and customer care. It appears that I am not the only one who has had a bad experience here after reading the other reviews. read more

Had one of the most embarrassing experiences of my life here. I called last minute to see if they could fit me in for an eyebrow wax and eyelash tint. He said he couldn't hear me and asked me to call another number. I did, not knowing he had had me call his other shop which was on the other side of the street. I set up the appointment and showed up ten minutes later and so I thought, no problem, the girl took me back but when I asked if they still had time for the eyelash tint, she said she had to call someone else in to do that but she would do my eyebrows first which she did and did a good job but she took the ends off them so now my eyebrows are half their original length. I can deal with that (they grow fast) but then she starts berating me in the middle of the shop that I had gone to the wrong shop and I was supposed to go across the street and even when I showed her on my phone that I had mapped it prior to coming to make sure I was calling the right shop, she kept pointing at the second number the guy had told me to call and saying I called the wrong shop, I needed to go there. Fine, I'll go to the other shop but first tried to pay for the $8 eyebrow wax with a $20 and they couldn't make change and all the while she's trying to find change for my $20, she keeps berating me that I had the wrong shop and the guy up front chimes in. I'm mortified by this point but I want my change so I stick it out. She finally gets it and I leave. I (stupidly) decide to suck it up and go to the other shop since this was going to be my only chance to get this done. I go to the other place which is packed with people. I tell the guy at the front why I'm there and a woman waves me to the back. I go back and she immediately starts launching into me that she's been waiting and that I went to the wrong shop. I tried to explain but she kept saying things to the other woman in her language and laughing as she looks my way. She then says it's going to be $150 for eyelash extensions to which I tell her I only wanted a $15 eyelash tint. She launches into me again. By this time, I've had it so I get off the table and leave with her screaming behind me, "what's wrong with you? I tint your lashes" so I now have every person in the shop staring at me. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Will never go back. I've been there several times for pedicures and it was fine. I really don't know how you can run a business like that. read more

I went here on a whim, as I was close by and needed my nails done for an event the next day. First off, the pedicure only lasted about 20 minutes, and was done very sloppily with little attention to detail. When the woman working got to my nails, she also rushed through with little care. Then, to top it off, when I was going to pay, I accidentally nicked a nail by grabbing my wallet out of my purse. When I showed her, she said "It's good". Upon further inspection, most of my nails were very sloppy looking--with paint on my skin, missing paint on edges of nails, and air bubbles on two of my nails... I am not a complainer or even that picky, but this was by far one of the worst experiences I have had getting my nails done. Needless to say, I will never go back. read more

VERY bad customer service :( My mommy friends and I made an appointment for the day before mothers day to pamper ourselves (they were not busy) boy were we wrong, we left stressed and unhappy :( They were being very rude, sloppy and the manager even told us to "get lost", even though he was kidding, you don't say that to your customers (it was written on his t shirt). They even talked us into upgrading our pedis for $10 more to get a nicer package... they were done in 15 mins! One of the ladies said she hates her job, one girl missed a double coat on a nail and one mommy had to talk the lady into fixing her very noticeable smudged nail! This place is horrible. My aunt went in for a pedicure and the lady did a horrible job and then tried to tell her that she couldn't really do a better pedicure. My aunt has had many pedis and always a great job. She went to Escape Nails because she was in the area and thought she would give them a try. The woman was rude and refused to get manager and she talked so much it was horrible. My aunt didn't get her name because she was so upset about the lack of respect this chic gave her and she gets emotional when she is treated poorly . This chic needs to be fired but Sam knows who this rude chic is. It happened today, 2/19/16. My aunt went back w/ her husband to insist her feet get redone and even told woman to be quiet and do her job because she was non stop talking and rude. She never got manager either. No one did anything about it. This chic needs a different job. If I had gone w/ my aunt, I would have made sure a manager was contacted. The service was not free so this chic should have done a great job not sloppy joes. I told my aunt I went to this place 1 time and never again.
