Decided to go with some friends today and it was a blast! At first i was a little reluctant to spend $20 dollars on this, and i was telling myself this was a bad idea. However, at the end it was so much fun i didn't care, i'd drop another 20! I cannot wait to see what the owners create next and i for sure will be dropping by again. It was a great original experience and a great first for me! Thanks! read more

My company went here for some team building fun. The place was great. The employees were kick ass. The rooms are challenging and immersive. Will definitely go back to try the other rooms. read more

This was our fourth escape room but my sister's first. We did the king tut room. It was by far the worst escape room of any I've done and my sister hated it so much she never wants to go back to another again. A total waste of money and hour of my life. The reason the room was not fun? Way too many hieroglyphs to interpret and LOTS of math. Like way too much where we just wanted to quit. It basically came down to two or three people translating while the rest stood around. A definite sign of a bad escape room. Props were also not good. Seemed cheap and the room itself pretty much felt like a converted office. We didn't just leave the room saying we didn't escape but at least we had fun. No, we left the room angry because the entire thing was frustrating math and hieroglyph translation. Horrible experience. Will never try this company again. If you're looking for a good escape room in Modesto, try quantum escapes, NOT this place. read more

Super fun! Used it as a work retreat for 9 people on staff. Great team-building experience. Quality puzzles to solve. Very fulfilling when you open the door! read more

Great fun for my family! The King Tut room was a really fun challenge. Lots of clues and puzzles to solve together. We hope to gather friends together soon to try the Prison Break, next! I highly recommend this experience. read more

Tons of fun to be had at this place. I've been twice now, with different groups and everyone always raves about the experience afterwards. This is also in a great location with food/beer very nearby. So, get 9 friends and go have a great time! read more

If you're looking for something fun to do in Modesto, this is the place to go. I had a great time with my friends trying to escape one of the rooms. It was challenging, but it was loads of fun. I highly recommend checking this place out. The staff there is super friendly, helpful, and full of energy. read more

Had a very fun and challenging night at Escape Modesto! Sari (apologies if I misspell the name). I went with my husband and met a really nice couple of friends who we partnered with to take on the room. The hour went too fast. Clues were challenging and required a variety of skills. It is perfect for an activity with older kids or with your team at work! Highly recommend. read more

This was such a great time! Thankful Modesto has something like this to do. Bring your thinking caps when you attempt these...problem & puzzle solving at its best! We attempted the King Tut room & will return for the Prison Break room! read more

Tons of fun!!! We had adults and teenagers...each age group had its own unique strengths to help solve the clues! Fun for all ages. Absolutely recommend this for anyone who loves a challenge!!!!!! read more

Awesome experience, great team building activity or just to have fun with friends on a hot day.

Great fun. We had 10 people and we still couldnt get out. It was pretty challenging for multiple groups to coordinate all the clues.

Had a great time, the worker was really nice (and helpful when needed). Went as a family and everyone was able to participate. Recommend more than 4 for King tuts room. read more

This was SO much fun!!! Best to go with a big group (up to 10 ppl). I am definitely gonna do this for my birthday! You have 1 hr to escape, and its best to all work together. Highly recommend doing this if you're looking for something fun and exciting to do that's out of the box! read more

Took my team here and had a great time. It was much more tricky then I expected but my team LOVED it. I feel like the ambiance needs to be WAY better. Like WAY better....I was very disappointed when I walked into the room. However the guy running it was very professional, nice, encouraging and my team didn't even notice anything once we got into the clues. Would love to come back! read more

So much fun! Did the King Tut room with 9 of my fellow coworkers. We had a blast! This is no easy mystery to solve. Everything was very well thought out. It really caused us to think hard and put on our thinking caps. I highly recommend it. It's a challenge and you'll love it! read more

We had a great time! The puzzles and riddles were challenging and fun. The Mitri brothers (owners) have done a great job with this. Can't wait to go back and do the other room! read more

We had a terrific time! Our group escaped the prison break room! Our facilitator, Katie was fantastic! She made the experience enjoyable- we want her again for our next visit. I highly recommend experiencing Escape Modesto! read more

My group was only 5 of us and we did the King Tut room and it was SO HARD but SO FUN! We got about 60% done with the room and I actually want to go back and try again and try other rooms! read more

The experience of being trapped in a room with other people and solving clues and problems is quite interesting. I highly recommend people who lives around the area to go out and try this place. It's great for team building with your coworkers/friends or meeting new people. I have done the first 2 rooms with my friends and successfully got out of them. I can't wait to do CSI Modesto. The staff members were cool. The owner of the Escape Modesto - I give you props. The rooms are quite fun and challenging. read more

I really enjoyed my experience and very much appreciated Katie's (I believe I got her name correctly. Sorry, I'm bad with names) way she explained things, and helped us along the way. She also encouraged us to switch to the King Tut room as CSI Modesto is the most difficult, as we were all beginners. She was very professional, and represented Escape Modesto very well. Kudos! I'll defiantly be back again, and tell my friends about you. Shh, not giving away anything. Cheers, Pamela Hurban read more

Colleagues and I participated in a "bonding" experience before the start of another school year. Escape Modesto provided a high quality challenging experience for the 11 of us. We were led by Sydney who did a fantastic job explaining what we were going to attempt when we entered the King Tut Tomb room. While we were not able to escape the room, we thoroughly enjoyed the challenge provided by Escape Modesto. read more

Had a lot of fun here for my daughters birthday. Didn't get out but got pretty close. Can't wait to go for my birthday.

WE HAD A BLAST! We did this as a work team building event. We did not break out of King Tuts Tomb. The clues, puzzles and hidden objects were done very well and this was really fun and exciting. The team that is running is doing a great job and helps create the atmosphere. read more

This place was very fun and nothing like I've ever tried before. My friends and I tried the prison room. It was a challenge but it was fun to try to solve the puzzles to escape. I'd suggest starting with the King Tut room, which is the easiest of the rooms. I can't wait to try that one next time I go. And Evan, the worker who helped us out, was great and very nice. Try it out for yourself and see if you can escape. read more

We had a blast! I've done this in Louisville, KY as well and this one held its own. The scenarios are very creative and put you in very unique situations which really added a nice variety if you've done them before. I wouldn't bother driving to Sacramento or the Bay Area to do a Breakout. Stay right here in Modesto and save the gas money! read more

My extended family and I had a blast at Escape Modesto. We chose the Prison Break for our experience. The staff is excellent at explaining the rules and knowing when to offer help. The challenges in the room are well thought out and involve a variety of skills. It was one of the most fun things I have done. Can't wait to return and try the other two rooms! read more

So much fun. Thank you, Matthew, for being an incredible host. We did the CSI room, and it was pretty well done. The clues were fun and well placed. As is typical of these rooms, there were too many people, but it was still great energy, just a little crazy at the end. Altogether and amazing time and would 10/10 do it again read more

Took the Escape Modesto challenge with some friends a couple of weeks ago. We did the King Tut room. Not to give much away but it was fun and very very challenging. We felt a little silly asking for help but fortunately the voice on the other end got us through the tough parts without giving anything away. Highly recommend if you have a mixed group of fun brainiacs, however you don't need to be a genius to contribute but being clever definitely helps. Can't wait to try the next rooms! read more

What an amazing experience this was! So fun and entertaining. And the staff was friendly. I would suggest Groupon and Yelp discounts 5 stars!! read more

If you are stumped for a creative gift for someone this is a great experience. Well worth it, challenging, and lots of fun!

For those looking to plan/participate in an interactive activity, whether it's for personal or professional enjoyment, this is it! I coordinated the event for 12 of my company's management team members, but didn't tell them what they were getting themselves into. And I'm glad I didn't. The mystery just added to the excitement. Together we attempted to accomplish "Prison Break." We were so close! We failed, but succeeded in having a great time. The event was led by Jesse. He did an amazing job dealing with my team and has the patience of a saint. I'm almost certain we entertained him as much as we entertained ourselves. Definitely recommended for any team building event. read more

Absolutely trash, they kicked me out of my room on my birthday because there was a error in their own system. Wish I wouldn't have wasted my day. read more

This was my first time going. We were a party of 4 grouped with strangers. We booked it on spur of the moment so we ended up with the CSI room. Most difficult. We didn't make it but we sure had fun trying. The staff was really great in giving clues and I definitely will go again booking the easier room. King Tut. So worth the experience. Fun all around. It makes you think outside the box. Great team building and interaction, even with strangers. Loved it. read more

Hey people, do you feel like being trapped in a room with random strangers? Do you crave the idea of being placed somewhere where you must depend on others to solve various clues within a limited timeframe? Well look no further- Escape Modesto is the solution for your ailments. This was perhaps one of the most unique experiences I've encountered. It's difficult to describe besides the fact you must solve puzzles via clues and communicate with other members in your group. The set up is wonderfully coordinated with each person being assigned their place. Our group's scenario involved a prison break- there were handcuffs, knocked out guards, and of course cells for prisoners. Unfortunately our group was unsuccessful with our break. Nevertheless, I look forward to the next story- this was amazing fun!!! Great way to spend a Friday night with friends. Also, if you get stuck, staff is always watching and willing to come and assist participants. read more
