DO NOT use this company for your solar needs. If I could give zero stars I would. Our garage siding was damaged by the solar install and ES Solar has done nothing to fix the problem even though they have told us over and over again they will get it fixed. Two years later nothing has come of it. ES Solar created an area by the foundation of our house where water pools and just remains there until it evaporates, this is going to ruin the foundation of our house and again ES Solar said they would fix it but after two years nothing has happened yet. ES Solar had the roofing company replace the side of our roof that was in good condition and did not need replacing, meanwhile we still need to replace the bad sod of our roof. The roofing company was told by my wife and I to replace the east side of our house but ES Solar intervened and told them to replace the west side of our roof even though we did not have solar installed on the roof of our house, it was installed on our garage. The power wires that go from our panels to our house are a large entangled mess that dangles dangerously down to the ground and are a major eye sore. ES Solar told us they would fix that and again it has been almost two years and nothing has been done. We wanted to purchase a battery with our solar panels but the sales person told us ES Solar does not sell batteries yet during the install we spoke with the installers about a battery and they told us ES Solar does sell and install batteries but they couldn't do it for us because it was not on the work order. Our next step is getting a power of Attorney. This company sucks badly. Do not get Solar through them. They are friendly to your face but completely ignore you if a problem arises from the work they have done. All the good reviews from here are very likely because problems didn't crop up during installation, ES Solar ignores the problems they create. The photo of the wires I ended up rolling up myself but it's pretty pretty lame they left it this way. After almost two years our solar panels do not keep up with the energy of our home and we still have a significant monthly power bill even though we were told it should cover almost all of our energy needs. The dumbest part about that is after installing they tell you it can take up to a year of solar use to properly tell if the panels were enough for our energy needs. They were not. We were told of some reimbursement program if this happens but as difficult as it has been just to get ES Solar to fix the issues we have already had with them. We are tired of jumping through all their hoops that are ignited on fire just to get personnel to ever so briefly talk with us about our concerns only to get ignored again after a 3 minute conversation where they tell us they will resolve this issue, that we will tackle the lack of power generation with our attorney. I don't even trust that ES Solar installed, at the time, the best solar panels they had to offer (which is what we paid for) the 360 or 370 panels. DO NOT USE ES SOLAR. read more

Worst company ever !! Contract under Christian Neil started on October 2021, today is June 20th, 2022. Inverter breaker kept on tripping, I called and a technician showed up to run a test. Needless to say, something is wrong with the inverter, but not too wrong because still works up to a certain degree, so they refused to fix it. Now i have to keep on resetting the inverter every 48 hrs until i hire someone else to fix the issue. You have no idea how frustrating that is that after charging almost $50,000 for the whole system they put cheap parts and they dont want to be accountable for.. please learn from my mistakes, do NOT go into business with that company read more

I joined a business network group and met Chris Looke and Jeff Diamond the owners of ES Solar and they answered all of my questions about solar and sent out their sales team to give me a quote which shocked me to say the least. The cost was 26% lower than any quote I received!!! I was blown away I went forward with it after paying $300.00 power bills this summer and Rocky mtn rates going up again next year! ES Solar has been horrible to work with. I am on week 4 of my 1 day install, they have sent crews out 4 times, failed their inspections, and strung me along. First the trenching crew never came, so they couldn't do the install, so the electricians did what they could, and said the trenchers would be there right away, and it would be installed "this pay period" so within a week or so. The trencher came out, and it was a hungover Hispanic guy and his wife (who napped in the car all morning) who didn't speak English. I came out to find him burying the electrical conduit about 6 inches deep, it's supposed to be 18 inches to the top of the conduit, I pointed it out to him, he ignored me and kept burying it. I called his supervisor, who came right out and "took care of it". The next day I find the conduit is five feet short of the electrical box, and when I call the supervisor, he tells me he'll "look into if he should fix it". I'm now suspicious, so I dig up the conduit he reburied, and now it is about 8" deep, keep in mind this is high voltage electrical wiring that's going to be installed in this conduit. I call and complain and am told that this is a problem, and it was a subcontractor of the contractor, but they'll get the real crew out right away. They send the same supervisor out a week later, and he says that most of the line is buried deep, just the two spots I dug up were shallow. Really? it's shallow 1/3 of the way and 2/3 of the way, but everywhere else is fine? SO I now spend the next four hours babysitting this crew, and make them dig up the whole line and prove to me that it is indeed deep enough, news flash, it wasn't. I call again, and am ignored by the installer they put on my case, I leave messages and send emails and am ignored. The most I've gotten is that "this almost never happens" and "we are so sorry this has happened" and "we'll fix this right away". Platitudes and lies. I have had my garage torn up for 4 weeks, I've had crews out 4 times, and I've failed city inspections with this company, I would never work with them again. Stay far away from them. read more

LIES!! LIES!! LIES!! Our solar system has worked out great for us until we found out that there really is NO REBATE!!! It is a TAX CREDIT, and if you owe the government money when you file your taxes, you will not get any back. It was told to us, that upon receipt of the Energy Rebate, that we would then be able to apply it to the unpaid principal balance of our Loan Pal loan of 25 years, which would come to us and then could be applied to our loan. Scotty was our salesman, and was really persistent, and we had him come back THREE times to confirm that we would be getting over $13,000 back to apply to the loan which would take it down to what we are paying Rocky Mountain for our power bill. To us, it was a trade off with the benefits of adding greater value to our home if we decided to sell. I have contacted the owner Colby who referred my dilemma to Chad Stokes, who is supposed to contact me, but has yet to reach out to offer any answers or solutions. My advise to you is DO NOT PURCHASE solar panels from this company. They are misleading and now seem to be very shady, and obviously not forthcoming. I am reporting this to the Better Business Bureau and will try to get a group together to create a Classic Law suit so that we will all get our money back that was dishonestly promoted and promised to us all. A total racket. Absolute shit show. This company offers "free" insulation/seals your duct work and gets paid by taking your rebate from the gas or electric company. Spoiler alert~it's not free. I paid $100 for my house, plus they got $400 from the energy company (I had to endorse the check that was payable to me and forward it to Energy Savers). $500 for 30 min of "work". Actually, not sure WHAT they did for 30 min while they were in the attic, but I have serious doubts they were sealing the ducts. If they were, in fact, sealing something, I have gained ZERO benefit from it. Looking at my utility usage year over year, my usage has been higher every. single. month. since they came. I agree with the previous reviewer who said that the kid that comes to your house is rude, condescending and hella persistent. (Although the guy that came to my house wasn't called Cory but just as bad. It seems they have assembled an entire team of *$$holes.) It was a total shit show from beginning to end. The guy told me it would be free, had me sign the 'paperwork' (on an iPad) agreeing to forward the $400 from the utility company within 90 days or pay it myself. The next day I did not feel good about it, it all just felt so shady & scammy, so I called and cancelled the appointment to seal the ducts. Few weeks later, some dude from the company calls me saying I owe them $100. I said I never had the service done and anyway was told it would be free if I forwarded the rebates. He said I signed a form saying I would pay $100 and they didn't have a "copy" of the form waiving the $100. What??? It wasn't paperwork it was on the tablet!! They said because my house is so big, it was going to be $100 extra. 1st, my house is only 2500 sq ft, that's hardly a huge house (epecially compared to the 8000 sq ft neighbors who also paid $100 "extra" for being a ~legitimately~ big house). 2nd..I CANCELLED THE SERVICE!!! This guy called me ~10 times over the next few days saying whether or not I got the service, I owed the money because I had signed the contract, he was going to send me to collections, on and on and on he went. His attitude was basically, "Your options are: 1. we send this to collections and your credit is shot for years. Or 2, You might as well just get the service and pay the $100 because I have your signature saying you'll pay the $400 in 90 days." So that's what I ended up doing. Seriously. Anything to make him stop calling and harrassing me. I had talked more about insulation and ductwork in 2 weeks than I ever cared to in an entire lifetime. I just couldn't take it anymore. Install and pricing/purchase went just fine no issues, but your in trouble if you need customer service help after. We are having issues with our system, our last two electric bills were suddenly very high- almost 3x's what we have been paying and nothing in the house has changed, and they refuse to send anyone out to look at it. They just keep giving me the run around. They asked me to send 6 months worth of electric bills for evaluation ( which i did) and that it would take 2 weeks to review. it is a month later and still nothing from them. when I called at the 2 week mark, I was told they there working on mine now and that should hear in a day or two. A week and a half later I called again this time I was told that they had a lot of submissions and they were reviewing them in the order they were received. So which is it? Obviously I am being lied to and still no resolution to my issue. Definitely run the other way from this company. read more

This is a company that does "free" insulation and air seal based on the current rebates offered by the gas and electric companies right now. I was referred to them from my brother, who got his house done. You have to refer 10 people to you know get the service, then you simply pass your rebates along to them and don't pay a dime. They were extremely persistent on the phone and I finally gave in, since my brother claimed that it really helped his utility bills. They sent out a man named Corrie to do the initial assessment of our house. First off, when he came in, he reeked of cigarette smoke, so bad that I had to open a few doors and windows as the smell was making me extremely nauseous. Secondly, he had an extremely condescending way of speaking to me, like I was just a dumb young girl and didn't know anything about what he was talking about. I've owned 4 homes, and have a good grasp on things. He did the test, told me about 3 or 4 times what to do next, filled out some paperwork. He said that I qualified for both insulation and airseal. When I brought up concerns about some of the language in the paperwork, he looked visibly annoyed and like I was just being stupid and not understanding things. And proceeded to talk to me like I was a child about how rebates work. I understand how rebates work, I just was concerned that the contract said that I was responsible for all payments within 90 days, and what if the rebates did not arrive by then? A valid question. Finally, after having him amend the paperwork, he left. The next step was to get in touch with Questar to do a home energy audit to confirm their results. Questar was wonderful, very professional with tons of great tips. I highly recommend people do this. The gentleman that came out was experienced and knowledgeable and very professional. He tested our home again and said that we may not qualify for the airseal program, because our house was already quite efficient and we would have to improve our score by at least 20%. I called back to the Energy Savers office and was put back in touch with our original person. He told me that Questar had been sending out some rookies lately, that didn't know what they were talking about. When I said that I trusted Questar and that the man that came out was definitely experienced, Corrie became annoyed and rude and said "then call the office back again and cancel the airseal if you're so worried". I was applauded. And tempted to cancel everything. But the installation will be helpful, and we've already come this far... The company itself might be good, minus this one bad apple, I have yet to find out. But if you get in touch with a man named Corrie. I'd reschedule until someone else can come out. read more

we recently tried to go solar for our first time, at first we thought things were good. we signed a contract, but a few days after we noticed that we were going to get lower annual production then what we've used this year alone without solar. so we decided to cancel, we told Tom who works for the company to put a pause everything until we get enough annal estimated power to power our house, because they were going to give us less. the plan didn't go through, and tell me why today i get a "invoice" from them CHARGING me $2,996.58 for cancelled jobs that I didn't tell them to do for me, and they didn't even tell me that I the customer was being charged things WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE OR CONSENT. They are giving me less than a month to pay for the site measuments, electrical design, structural engineering, net metering, administrative fee, restocking fee, permitting and the commission paid out. all totaling to $2,996.58. the fact that they didn't have the balls to tell me personally in my face when they had multiple opportunities to do so, only through this sorry ass black and white bill from my mail box I'm seeing today. I've lost mad respect for this company. proceed with caution. they are all candy and bubblegum in your face but when the deal doesn't go through they start trying to come for your money for things and services they sugarcoated in your face that were no cost to you. Salesman for ES Solar was great, did excellent explaining things and making sure we felt comfortable with the whole process. Came to our house multiple times in the evening to talk with us and answer questions. I can't stay enough about how great that situation was. However, we were told the installation team would be at our house on installation day at 8am to install, the work order said 8:00am. Well they showed up at 6:30! I was not happy at all, we had sleeping kids and I didn't want our neighbors to hate us for all the noise. They knocked on the door a couple of times before we answered...... because we were sleeping, of course. When my husband told the installer the work order wasn't until 8, he said," It's hot by then!" Wow what a joke. My husband said they couldn't be making a bunch of noise at that hour. They said they had some setup they needed to do before they would start drilling. Well drilling started at 7:30.....still before the time we even agreed they could be here working. I think is was unprofessional and very discourteous to show up whenever was convient for them regardless of what we had agreed to. If the installer had reached out to us before the date of installation and asked to come early , well maybe that is something we could have talked about and planned for, it does get hot later in the day. I recently had a system installed by ES solar. Every thing was going fine until the install. Apparently something was wired backwards and was found during the after install inspection. Ok, no problem mistakes happen, I also noticed they had routed a wire from the outside power meter across the garage ceiling to the outlet by the garage door opener. This wire looked like my 8 year old did it. It was drooping down like Christmas lights across the sheet rock, it wasn't even straight it darted left and right. Then it was routed over the top of all my tree trimming saws...oh but the best part is yet to come keep reading. I called them to come out and make the wire look professional, I mean I am spending over 20k it seems like a legitimate request. They come out and are professional and re route the wire in a better location. After the repair the installer calls his supervisor, Martel, and lets him know that they were done. The supervisor then says "why does that guy care about what his garage looks like, its a piece of .... anyway" WOW martel and es solar I will never say a good thing about your company to anyone I come in contact with. Don't know about you but I work hard for what I have, I wonder what else was installed in this manner because they didn't really care about my home because its not a mansion?? I do not recommend this company, poor workmanship, poor training, poor customer service and lack of pride to do a quality installation. read more

So far so good. We had them come in and do the install just this weekend. It was not free as some have claimed, but it was only 105.00 for about 700 sf of installed insulation. We know we will save that in one month this winter. The install guys were 1.5 hours late, but did call us and let us know they were running behind on a previous job. It only took about 45 minutes. Seems to have been a real no brainer for us to do this. I will see what happens when the rebate comes and we pay it to them, but so far, seems like a win win. read more

Do not recommend ES Solar. Door to door representative showed up on Saturday 04/13 to schedule a "free" energy consultation with one of their energy "techs" on the following Monday: 04/15. Energy tech Lew showed up around 7:00pm, where both my father and I met him. He asked a few questions walked through the house. My father made a comment about solar investments and how it really only benefits the second generations, since most first-time solar home owners require start-up financing to gain access to the panels and will spend years (10-15+) paying off the investment at ~$80 or more a month. After my father voiced this, Lew became very defensive and made a condescending statement advising this was false. His overall tone was very unprofessional. Prior to Lew's departure, we setup an appointment for Monday 04/22 to meet again with Lew's energy recommendations and a potential estimate. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, I was unable to meet Lew at the house and apologized profusely. I told him my father (which lives just a few houses down the street) could meet him there to go over the estimates, and he told me, "well I have other things to do" and I told him okay and then he rudely offered to schedule another appointment, which at the time, I was unsure of what would be a good day, as I am very busy and offered to call him back. Based on my initial contact with Lew and his representation of ES Solar, I strongly discourage/do not recommend using this company for solar. read more

Two men showed up at our door and talked us into taking advantage of their offer to save us substantially on our utility bills, said we would pay nothing, the two utility companies would pay them. They were here 15 minutes, we have a 2900 sq. ft. house, said they sealed all our air ducts. The two men had dirty shoes and tracked into my utility, laundry room, left a mess with insulation all over the floor and dirty grimy black marks on the drywall covering to the entrance of the attic. We saved a total of $3.08 between the two utilities for two months. This is a scam. I do not consider a savings from last years utility bills of the above figure substantial, especially when our bill runs over $200.00 a month. Our Builder says our insulation is well over code. The Manager here in Southern Utah was coming today at 3:00 pm, called at 2:45 pm said something had come up and could not be here until 5:00 pm. We will see what he has to say then. I would not rate this company above a two star. read more

Stolen property caught on video. We hired Energy Savers in June 2017 to spray insulation in our basement and in the process the installer stole a bundle of copper wire we had in the area he was working. We were physically home when this took place, so it isn't like we left them unattended in our home. When we called to report this to Energy Savers we were told the questioned the installers and "they didn't see any copper wire in the basement", so we pulled up our video camera footage and caught the incident on tape. When we showed the footage to the company, including the owner, it couldn't be disputed. We called the owner and were seeking reimbursement of some sort for the lack of service and extreme violation of privacy due to us allowing this company to come into our home and do work and what we got instead was victimized. The owner got extremely defensive when I mentioned reimbursement. He claimed I was attempting to "blackmail" the company. If we are all honest with ourselves, we can agree that reimbursement for the lack of service is something we should expect in a situation of this nature, but instead I was once again victimized by the owner, Chris, for even making such a outrageous request. The person whole took the copper wire still has it in his possession and was told to come and bring it back and personally apologize to us for taking it, which is them admitting he stole it, but they are not willing to stand behind the service and they told me that they would put him on probation, but he will remain working for them as an installer, which means he is still going to be going into others homes. I am writing this review to inform everyone to proceed with extreme caution with Energy Savers Insulation and I am not convinced this hasn't taken place before and just hasn't been caught on video. My situation cannot be resolved and after Chris accused me to trying to gain something financially from this horrible situation, I told him even if he offered me money at this point I wouldn't take it because I don't want to give him any reason to state I am gaining from their crime. At a minimum, what I can gain is to warn others seeking insulation services who work just as hard as we do for our money and hope you can learn from our situation and avoid this in your transactions. There are plenty of other honest companies out there, so please take this into consideration when looking for a company to use. read more

They forgot to collect up front money then 3 days later call and demand money for there mistake of not collecting. Questar was late sending rebate check and energy savers calls and demands payment or sending to collections. Energy savers never left envelope for return payment of rebate check when I have the recorded call of them saying they would the representative called me a liar! I mean what company does that. I explained quester has not sent check yet So I got online to check when quester would be sending check and check was sent but lost in the mail. Please avoid this company and do your homework cause this has been a horrible I mean HORRIABLE experience from the start.
