She took the time to explain the cysts in detail and offered different types of treatment. I didn't really want to go the slice & dice route so she wrote an rx for medication that might help dry them out (fingers crossed). She was extremely patient and attentive and didn't rush through the appointment. Her assistant was equally kind and informative. The entire staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The office is modern with state-of-the-art equipment and a variety of products. The waiting area is comfortable with quality seating and a Keurig and bottled water. Overall, I absolutely recommend this practice.

The customer…read moreservice is absolutely embarrassing at the front desk and does not reflect in any way the expertise of the doctors actually doing real work at this firm. If you want to deal with the attitude, no help whatsoever on the phone, and ridiculous business timelines (if you set at appt at 8am they somehow "don't open" until 8:30am and won't take any calls before 8:30am while sitting in-person at the front desk), then go here.... otherwise avoid at all costs. If this is your absolute last resort of a dermatology option, realize there's a 99% chance of dealing with a joke of a front-desk representative in every possible outreach to this firm. Would avoid at all costs and save the time/headache for something that actually matters.

My care was super thorough and covered all the bases. At some doctors in the past I have felt rushed & easily dismissed but this was not the case at all here. They really took their time with me and went above & beyond to address all of my concerns. Everything at this office runs smooth and efficiently and I didn't feel like I was pressured to buy anything, which I appreciated. If anything, I was given tips on how to save money on products and prescriptions I was interested in.

As an established patient, it is very difficult to get a medical appointment with Dr. Gordon. I…read moredon't do cosmetic appointments, so maybe the wait time is shorter for those, but for medical, it is like a year wait. When did this become such an issue? When did patients needing medical care become unimportant; why are we dehumanizing needs of patients? Somehow going to the doctor has become a profit driven 15-minute visit scheduling problem. It's a moral one. It reflects a system that values documentation over dialogue, billing over bonding, and efficiency over empathy. It's the quiet erosion of what medicine used to be: a conversation between people who trusted each other. If we want to restore that trust, we have to reclaim time, not from patients but for them. We have to re-humanize care by giving space to the parts that don't fit in a drop-down menu. Sense of impatience, the hurry, and the sense that the doctor is listening but not hearing. Being told "We'll have to schedule another visit." "I'll only bring up one issue today." Nobody cares anymore about the patient. Did you go to medical school to help people or to help the broken system? Because when we finally stop pretending that 15 minutes is enough, we might rediscover what those minutes were supposed to mean.

I have been a patient here, but I will never, ever return. I woke up with vertigo and called the…read moreoffice the morning of my appointment to let them know I couldn't make it in because I was physically unable to get out of bed. Instead of any basic concern for my well-being, I was told I would be slapped with a $50 "no-show" fee--for calling in sick the same day, as if illnesses come with a 24-hour advance warning. When I asked them to send in a routine prescription refill since I was completely out of medication, the staff member flat-out told me: "I'll send it in once you pay the fee." Holding a patient's necessary medication hostage over a punitive cancellation fee while flat out in bed with vertigo is disgusting behavior. This office cares far more about squeezing extra cash out of sick patients than providing actual medical care. Avoid this place at all costs.

I am truly baffled by some of these negative reviews regarding the WD staff, billing, and pain from…read moreprocedures. If you're electing to have cosmetic work done, there will be some pain. The entire WD team has been nothing but upfront with me about all bills and expenses, and the staff is truly incredible. I cannot sing their praises enough. From the consultant to reception to the nurses, anesthesiologist, and surgeon, Dr. Chike-Obi, everyone I've had the pleasure of interacting with has made me feel like I am in the very best of hands. Dr. Chike-Obi's team has also been extremely communicative. They have responded quickly to all of my emails, called in prescriptions I've requested same day, and one of the nurses, Nicole, even gave me her direct number so that I can conveniently call or text with any questions/concerns. I don't want to say I've been needy or high maintenance ... it is my body and a permanent procedure, so I should feel empowered to ask any and all questions that I have. But I certainly have reached out a lot, and I've been really pleased with the care and attention I've received. Most importantly, I am certain that the WD team is totally and completely dedicated to their clients' health and safety. I went in for my procedure, and when the team realized that I had a family history of malignant hyperthermia, they immediately reassessed and rescheduled my procedure to a date and time when every possible precaution could be taken on my behalf. Rob, my anesthesiologist, was so empathetic -- he answered all my questions and assured me that the new course of action would prevent any adverse reactions to the anesthesia and even make my recovery a bit easier. I've not yet had my surgery, but thanks to the WD team, I'll be going into it with very little worry. I feel confident that my procedure and the recovery process will be as pleasant as all my other interactions have been thus far. If you're looking for bargains or quick-turn procedures, this isn't your place. But personally, dermatological care and cosmetic work are not things I'd ever want a bargain on, nor would I ever want my care to be rushed. This is a top-notch practice. Very lucky that they're here in Austin!
