TL;DR: Sandra, owner of Skincare Company Spa & Hair Salon, is super knowledgeable about skin, skin…read moregenetics, and how to address/mediate skin issues! I've had facial redness for years now, and my dermatologist confirmed that it was sun damage. I didn't think there was anything that could be done about it, since the dermo kind of shrugged it (and my other concern of a raised bump on my nose) off. Fast forward a few months: a coworker had said something about a treatment that she had done to combat sun damage. My ears perked up and I asked her for more information. Long story short, she referred me to Sandra at Skincare Company Spa. I had my third IPL about 4 weeks ago, and I'm seeing legitimate improvements in my skin: so much cheek redness has already gone away. I never thought this was possible! I'm hoping that a fourth treatment can make a bigger dent in the cheek redness that I have. Some brown spots (that I thought were freckles!) lifted and my skin is smoother than it's ever been. Years of pox marks and cystic acne scars have also lessened. Sandra also targeted some keratosis the last time - AKA that strange bump on my nose that my dermatologist shrugged off as not being important enough to address. Sandra absolutely knows skin! She is thorough and knowledgeable about cultural/geographic implications of skin. On my 1st visit, I shared what I knew (that I was primarily Irish), but by the last/3rd visit, after I'd had two prior treatments, we discussed the specifics of my skin and how the characteristics of my skin indicated that there's more to it than just Irish. I pulled up my (updated) Ancestry, which I hadn't looked at in years, and my results aligned with what Sandra was saying. I learned so much from Sandra, which I love. I'm looking forward to my 4th IPL treatment in a few weeks! Thanks for everything, Sandra.

One of the employees reminded me when I was looking around that their VIB sale was going to be coming up, which was helpful since I bought more sunscreen at that point. I called once in 2013 around December to use it but I also never received a phone call back. I recently found the groupon again and wanted to use it. I called 2x and never received a phone call back. I decided to actually drive by the location on Monday November 30, they are closed on Mondays. I went today Dec 1 since they are open and no one answered the door. I called again and left a message on the machine. So far I have called 3x in 2015 to book an appointment and no one has called me back. I feel I have wasted my money on this groupon. I see great reviews on Yelp but am unable to get an answer from anyone who works here. I wanted to come here because it is so close to my house but I am so disappointed on the lack of professionalism and follow up. Why hasn't anyone called me back? I don't even want to go anymore, I am just going to get my money back from groupon because I am tired on trying to chase this business for their services. I wrote the initial review on top and received a rude message from the owner (On the screenshot below). Regardless of how much I spent on the groupon I am still a customer, a paying customer. I am so disappointed in the lack of customer service. I have never met Monica but she lacks the skill set for a successful business owner because she refuses to admit her fault. She doesn't return phone calls. I read another 2 reviews saying the same thing. I only wish I read the reviews before wasting my time and money (how ever much I spend). Even if there was an appointment option on the website, why do you have a business phone if you don't answer or return phone calls? I actually wanted to see if my groupon works and if it didn't, I would have paid for the services. Furthermore, I am still shocked by her response. It amazes me how someone can lack the skill of servicing others while working in the service industry. If she only sent a note explaining why she hasn't returned my calls or a simple apology. I would have re-written the review and I'd be a returning customer if she meet my expectations. But..Monica couldn't do that because clearly she cannot admit her fault. The worst part is my review is staying up on Yelp along with Monica's response for whomever to see.

If you take the opportunity to talk and get to know Vanessa you'll find she is truly a special person, too. She just has this perspective on people and the world that is rooted in love and understanding. I honestly love my appointments because we laugh, cry, and learn with each other. Couldn't be happier with the services I've received and the person I've received them from. I've read some of the other reviews here and while I respect others' perspectives, I also understand two things : (a) people are allowed to have bad experiences and (b) some people seem to somehow have more bad experiences in life than good. In attempting to book a RF skin tightening appointment from a Groupon purchase, I received a text message reply (to my voicemail) stating certain days are only available to those with a "membership" which is perfectly understandable. Where it gets weird is, the guideposts regarding availability on "visitor" days continued to move. I'm remaining optimistic given the prior reviews but can't help but to have some reservations. After establishing I'd book for sometime the following month or so, Vanessa FaceTime'd twice and when I "called" back - "voice only", she didn't answer and then proceeded to text and yet, days later the verdict is still out as to a confirmed date and time. For anyone else considering buying a Groupon, using an offer or checking this place out as a "visitor", visitor hours are Tu - Fr from 11a -5p. Per Vanessa, Radio Frequency treatments are recommended no sooner than 5 days apart and no more than 8 days for maximum results. I'll update my review once I hear back with a confirmed time and can offer insight into the overall experience.
