Obsessed with Ernie's!! I order from here all the time and the açaí bowl comes in perfect condition. If you visit this location it is super convenient although parking can get tricky.

my BYO Smoothie: açaí purée, blueberries, cashew milk, cashew butter, and coconut oil mixed-in

I'm kind of obsessed with this place! They have açaí in soft-serve machines which just takes your açaí bowls to the next level. Selection for toppings and mix-ins is varied, so you can get really creative and build your own but the signature combinations all seem really great as well. Do yourself a favor and ask for coconut oil drizzled over the bowl, it's to die for! I also love to ask for it blended into my smoothies! There are a few options for seating inside and outside. It's a pleasant, cute little spot. Staff is great. They have a lot of orders to prepare so just give them a moment and your patience will be rewarded with deliciousness.

The Machine Bowl

Deliciously Healthy?!? Why Yes! My daughter had a hankering for Ernie's as she stated they are the best around. So we went for a little father-daughter adventure so i could judge for myself. I went in pretty much blind as this was my first venture into Acai Bowl land. Located in Coral Gables near Merrick Park, parking was mostly on the street. I heard it can be challenging but for when we went which was around 6pm on a Friday, it wasn't too bad. Ernie's has seating both inside and out. We opted to stay cool and go inside. They have a simple yet complete menu full of topping options. You can choose from preset bowls or build your own. My daughter went with The Automatic and I chose The Machine. Both were delicious. The acai was like eating soft serve ice cream and the fruit toppings were not only super fresh but the drizzled honey on top made the fruit flavor pop even more. And the granola added a nice texture to the bowl. Service was quick and place was very clean. Overall Ernie's was great experience especially as a first timer to acai bowls. I would definitely come back to try more things on their menu.

La Diabla. Try it!

The Bowls at Ernie's taste like decadent treats, but happen to be chock full of wholesome goodness. I tried La Diabla full of antioxidants with its sweet and tart Goji berries and raspberries. The bit of granola adds a delightful crunch with each delicious bite. If you're thirsty, try an iced coffee. It's the perfect pick-me-up. All the bowls are made fresh to order and they have convenient counter service. Come and try one of their bowls. You won't regret it!

It was empty when I got there which was weird. bc this was soo good! Pretty pricey but this was huge so it served as 2 different meals. I got choc covered dip which contains coconut oil. But no one offers that I had to try! AMAZING! wish I lived near one.

El Clasico with strawberries and Nutella

How have I not written a review for Ernie's yet? The açaí bowls from here have become an addiction. It had been several years since I even thought about ordering an açaí bowl from anywhere because in my mind, they were a trendy food of the past. But one day, as I finished up a barre class in the area, I craved something fresh and sweet. Alas, Ernie's had just opened so I decided to try it out. Depending on the time of day, Ernie's will either be slow or very busy. During the week, as the local high-school gets out of class, Ernie's is bumpin' with teenage gossip and hormones. Still, if it's the only time you can make it, I wouldn't pass just because of this detail. The açaí itself is special--with no added sugar and a texture akin to actual ice cream or sorbet, I love love love that it holds up even on the hottest Miami day (hey, that rhymed!). The toppings are what make this sweet as the açaí itself isn't. I can't seem to get away from ordering "El Clasico" and the picture in my review was taken on a rare day where I wanted my bowl to be a little more indulgent with strawberries and Nutella. The service is solid--your order is taken politely, made quickly, and that is that. No muss, no fuss. I've even overheard the staff joking with each-other about who makes a better bowl--I found this charming that they took such pride in making these bowls! All in all, you MUST try Ernie's. I've already gotten several friends just as addicted as I.

Fresh and yummy. Had the automatic and added raspberries. Good flavor and regular is a nice size. Good and friendly service. Located near Merrick Park. Parking can be tough.

I was craving something refreshing and sweet! After stumbling upon Ernie's I decided to try it out. The place was empty and we were served quickly. I decide to go with the "Automatic!' Added blueberries and bee pollen, it was chef's kiss! I love the way they served the acai, frozen yogurt style and I found that unlike other places, the açaí didn't melt super fast, making it enjoyable and fresh for a while. The fruits were VERY fresh and you can tell they had been cut right then and there. I will definitely be back here when I'm in the area.

Just had my second bowl from Ernie's and can officially say it's my FAVOURITE spot for açaí bows in Miami. SOOOOO GOOD! So much flavour & so many textures. Had the Tropicalista this time which comes topped with strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, pineapple, toasted coconut, almond butter drizzle, granola & coconut oil. Never would have thought to add coconut oil to a bowl but will now! It mixed into the granola & froze to create this incredible "brittle" of sorts that you would get sporadic surprise bites of. I was obsessed. Highly recommend this spot & looking forward to working my way thru the menu!

Ernie's was exactly what I needed after a workout. It was fast service and very yummy. I liked my experience more than the first, where I wasn't even served because they said they were too busy with Uber eats orders and had to close early. I understand that they were understaffed so I didn't say anything. If I'm ever in the area again I'll come back, I love a good Acai bowl place.

We chose this spot because it was on the InKind app. There's a beautiful floral Instagrammable spot in front of the restaurant. When you walk in, the aesthetics is so dang nice. Big industrial space with a modern feel. Stunning pastries that are too pretty to eat. Service was wonderful and our server Enrique went above and beyond. This is everything we ordered: * Mezze Platter * Chilaquiles * Crab Benedict * Bachour Cuban Sandwich * Steak Sandwich * Matcha Latte * Chai Latte Everything was quite delicious. Mezze Platter was a nice starter for our table. The Steak Sandwich was the was a favorite. Chilaquiles could have been better. Cuban Sandwich on point. Crab Benedict was perfection. After brunch, I got some pastries to take home for the family. We had a wonderful brunch all in all. Love the food, coffee, pastries, service and ambiance. Bonus was the InKind app and discount of $25 off $75. Really enjoyed my brunch experience so much that I decided to take my sis here, she was visiting from out of town. And I used my InKind once again. Yessssss!!!

They are definitely on the pricier side for pastries, but Bachour is such a well-known spot and you can tell there's a lot of attention to detail in what they make. The inside is also gorgeous, so it's a great place to stop by, grab a pastry, and enjoy the atmosphere. Definitely recommend trying it if you're in Coral Gables!

Having said that, I'm not gonna lie and say I wasn't disappointed when I got here and saw that 1/3 of the menu options, the waffles, are no longer offered after 3 p.m. I ordered the sausage, egg, and cheese English muffin. It was pretty delish, but I have to say the presentation is lacking. My friend ordered the spinach, egg, and cheese muffin. I was taken aback when, a few moments later, the "waitress" (not sure what you call someone who brings you the food but doesn't actually wait on you. A food runner, perhaps? Except that's not what she was) showed up with two "small" paper bags. I'm not sure I can say she dropped them on the table, but I can't say she gently placed them there, either. I was lost for a moment, like, what is this? It took a second to realize it was our order. So, presentation is lacking, to say the least. I expect this type of food delivery from a hospital "on-the-go" coffee shop, not a "brewing cafe and arthouse." Especially on a weekend, they should consider some sort of plating option, even if it's just a paper plate. Otherwise, you don't need this much real estate (the place is not exactly tiny) if the service is going to be grab-and-go style. Service was proper, not overly polite, just proper. We also ordered a latte and a cappuccino. The latte was beautifully presented, while the cappuccino was served in the most unusual of ways: in a Mason jar. What? Odd, to say the least. However, I can forgive all these "trespasses" into proper gastronomy because, in the end, the coffee was good and the sausage muffin was delicious. We also ordered a ham and cheese croissant because my friend was left starving after the small portion, even though the size was pretty much what you'd expect (think McDonald's muffin size). The croissant, on the other hand, was decently sized and priced. He asked for the ham on the side, and it came in its own "paper bag." ‍ To recap: While the interior is larger than expected and fairly appealing (the lighting is more suited to a brightly lit, task-driven factory assembly line), the actual experience is a mix of: here's my grandma's special glass cup, but Uncle made your sandwiches to go in cheap paper bags. Very contrasting experiences. The saving grace is that everything was at least great-tasting and reasonably priced. Just know this is not the place for a cute date.
