Great park for runners! Been here twice for a morning run hike and a race. This place is perfect for a short quick run with a tough elevation. Just be ready for the dirt. A good trail running shoes is recommended. It's very serene especially in the early morning. Truly a hidden gem with lots of outdoor sport courts. read more

The good: This is a very fun park with a cool playground that is suitable for slightly older kids. I took my 1.5 year old here and she still enjoyed it but it is definitely advance for her. There are lots of high and climbable structures. The grassy area is huge so kids can roam freely. The grassy area is hilly but there are flatter areas that are good for picnics too. They have picnic tables and there is plenty of parking. There's a tennis court, baseball field and bathrooms. It feels private and is away from traffic/cars. The bad: The parking lot is gravel/dirt so it can get pretty dirty with puddles on a rainy day. The interesting: There are hills surrounding it with homes. You can also see horses. There are also a lot of crows. You need to fill out a park permit if you're hosting an event here with 20+ people. read more

This is what a park should be. They have great play area for kids of all ages. And by all ages, I mean adults that play like kids. I love the tennis court and pickle ball court combo. The pickle ball lines have yellow lines. The park is well maintained. The community also seems to care for this place a lot. There are no loitering or trash and it is kept clean. read more

This is literally our favorite park in the area. It's quiet, pretty private, has gorgeous walking trails and bridle trails, is surrounded by nature or your choice of exercise equipment, and has plenty of free parking. I hope it stays this way for a long, long time! Trees are close enough on the green field area for hammocks. Great area for reading. Plenty of kids and families. Tennis courts and a ball field. It's not loud and crowded though. We see horses often here. Awesome spot to walk dogs, take the stroller around, or exercise on your own. The view is beautiful! read more

Went hiking at this park. Really cool place. You have the basics, basketball, courts, tennis courts and baseball fields,. if you walk around the trails, there are a lot of horses we even were able to find a horse and pet the horse. Some of the trails are marked but we found it kind of hard to stay on the right trail. Some of the trails are marked at the beginning but that's about all so you can't get lost, but there are some nice walking areas around there. Lots of free parking. We will visit this trail again at some point. read more

Very nice park, tennis and now pickle ball courts. Baseball diamonds, or softball. Trails that can take you to the best view of Torrance, or around the hood. Horse stalls, rings. An amazing jungle gym for the kids, maybe mom too. Nothing to complain about here, it's all good. See ya there. read more

This is a sprawling park that affords a variety of fields, baseball, soccer, basketball, and even a horse ridding area. I'm here most weekends to watch my girls play soccer. Because it's so large, the road is dirt, which tend to stir a lot of dust, your once clean car will leave with a layer of dirt. Soccer games can get hot, bring a tent or umbrella for shade. This park has a sprawling city and ocean view from the peak. It's a great little park for an easy "hike" with a small dog/puppy and a young child, which is what we used this park for. It's interesting to find people with horses, goats and chickens right outside of L.A.. I understand some of the negative reviews. The trails are currently a bit overrun with unmaintained plants and horse poop. There are poorly trained dogs off leash, which prompts me to immediately pick up my puppy. There is a ton of broken glass at the top of the hiking area (with the gorgeous view). People clearly come here to drink, take in the view, and smash their bottles. How rude! The tennis courts and sports fields keep the parking lot busy, busy, busy. I have not used any of those facilities, so I cannot comment. I would recommend this for a short walk with a lovely view overlooking the Torrance airport. It is walking distance from my son's Chinese school or I would choose elsewhere. read more

Holy moly how many times have I driven past this park thinking it was a private tennis club. It is in fact the home of Rolling Hills Estates Tennis Club, but it is also much more than that, and open to the public. Go up the hill past Rolling Hills Road, and enter on your right, off Hawthorne. There is a large parking lot, all gravel and very dusty. I had just washed my car, oh well.... As I exited my car and headed off to explore, I learned that bridle paths cut right through the park when I immediately stepped in a horse pie. Ew. This is horse country pardner! Horse riding trails are all over RHE. This park is a little smelly as a result. I can only imagine on a real hot summer day...... Anyhow, there are 3 large ball fields, with scoreboards, bleachers, dugouts, and batting cages. This is the real deal. It must be where local schools hold their games (see photos). And, the park has a very impressive area for horse shows, including a judge's stand, stables, grooming areas, etc.. The fitness trail/walking path circles the park, and in some areas is not separate from the bridle path, so again.....horsey poop is all around. I would not recommend this park for walking. Horses seem to own the trails, but are banned from running on the sports fields, fortunately. I spotted a horse inside the stables, curiously watching me maneuver my way around poop. I wanted to take his picture, but he would not come out. He toyed with me a little, sticking part of his head out then retreating when I got the camera shot lined up. I told him he is no horse, he's a donkey for not posing for me, dang it. The elevation of this park allows a distant view of Long Beach Harbor. It's surrounded by a white picket fence & is well-kept for such a large area. RHE Tennis Club is on the grounds (see photos), as I said, with several tennis courts and even a little clubhouse. And I discovered a handball court near the park's entrance, hidden form view. Also I found a basketball court, and a sand volleyball court with no net. There is a small kids' play area, and some picnic areas. So this place has it all, but it's especially all about baseball, tennis, and horses. I posted around 40 photos. read more

Very pretty park to hang out in. Baseball fields, tennis, walking trails, horseback riding. The courts are free after 11am on weekdays during lunch. They can get covered with leaves from all the trees. Picnic tables and a children's playground. There is a basketball court and volleyball but they never get used. Last summer I think they had a skate park for kids. Great place to board your horse or go for a ride. They have horse shows up here a few times a year. Lots of free parking but it's gravel and your car will get covered in dust. read more

Love running to the top of this park during sunset. Gorgeous views of the city and mountains. Never really came here to use the park facilities (like the tennis courts) since I only pass by here during my trail runs. Lots of horse poop on the surrounding trails. Nice tiny little park. read more

Excellent large park with lots of great stuff. 1) Walking Trails- Goes around the park and beyond. Connects with Hawthorne, Crenshaw and Palos Verdes Drive North. 2) Public Tennis Facilities are fantastic. For a public tennis center, courts are well paved and in great shape. 3) 3 baseball fields are always in good shape. Have fences for home runs which is cool. 4) Horse Properties are large and have good facilities. Overall very well run and a great community park. read more

Nestled in the hills of one of America's most expensive neighborhoods, EHP is not your average park. Equestrian/horse trails, walking trails, and a sanded parking lot, this park puts every other neighborhood park to shame. The park has many, many tennis courts, which can be reserved at a very affordable cost. Also, the tennis program has nightly group tennis lessons, as well as private, at very affordable rates. The children's playground is adequate, but it can be better. But heck, I guess the children of Rolling Hills don't need play on swings and slides when they've got horses to play with right? read more

Nice park. Tennis & beach volleyball courts. Lots of open space and a large section dedicated to horseback riding. Pretty weak playground though. It also has a lot of hiking/horse trails that lead off in all directions in some of the more wild areas of the hill. read more

Not the best park for families and kids. It's more of a tennis club than a park. And there are better free tennis courts nearby.

Nice park with great trails, just way too many poops!!! I participated in the Hills are Alive 10k and the park didnt bother to clean.
