My brother told me about this place a few months back. He's been there several times and so the wife and I finally had time to make the trip to Frydek. We just about drove past it as it's in an old service station. Pumps still in place. The owners have put a lot of work in making the inside nice with that old rustic look. Lots of room to spread out. Menu is pretty simple with - the basics. Burgers, pizzas, wings, CFS, salads.... Waitress explained that everything is made fresh, nothing frozen. And quality of food indicates that. We decided to split everything and started with the jalapeño popper. So good but not too hot. They make their own ranch and my wife and I agree it's probably the best we've ever had. We then split the Ruben sandwich with hand cut onion rings. Again, so good. And last we tried the a side of their 5 cheese man n cheese. Outstanding. The face beer n wine as well. There is a nice outdoor area and a small private room for an event or party. It's about 15 mins west of Buc-ees in Katy. Well worth the drive.

Place is very cute! Happened upon it on the way to Houston and it 100% a hidden gem. The lady who helped us was very friendly and gave us a great recommendation with the poppers and onion rings. Will stop by again on the way back home.

My wife and I heard about a new restaurant in Frydek named Ermis' at Frydek. We ate there twice in the same week - once for lunch and once for dinner. The proprietors opened the place in an existing older building in the little town. There is an inside, sit-down restaurant and plentiful covered outdoor seating. The inside was very clean and nicely set up for a casual meal. The outside is also nicely set up and would be a great place for live music, which the waitress advised happens on weekends. The menu is simple and straightforward, offering a variety of burgers, wings and pizza. It also has complete entrees, salads and a variety of appetizers. There was beer and wine available, as well as the usual soft drinks and tea. We had fried pickles, a grilled chicken sandwich, a Cobb salad, fried chicken and chicken fried steak. Everything appeared homemade and was served promptly and hot. The service both times was excellent. If you are ever in Frydek (a few miles SE of Sealy), you would do well to swing in for a meal, a beer and maybe even some live music. Highly recommend.

I had in-house made Ranch dressing with my tenders and would buy it to take home, if that was possible.

It's built inside a historic garage, and you can still see the brewing equipment from the taproom, which gives the place a cool industrial feel. Plenty of indoor seating, a nice patio, and it just feels like somewhere you could hang out for a few hours. I ordered the SMASH Burger and made it a double. That was my mistake. The burger itself was excellent, hot, fresh, juicy, and cooked just right, but my eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach. The single would have been the perfect size for me. No complaints about the food at all. The beer was delicious too. They had a wide variety of lagers, IPAs, sours, and even a barrel-aged stout, so there was something for just about everyone. I appreciate breweries that don't make everything an IPA. Overall, I was really impressed. What started as an unplanned stop because of a billboard turned into one of the highlights of the drive. If you're passing through Columbus, Hound Song is absolutely worth pulling off the highway for.
