Scheduled an estimate for installation of a metal roof. Two sales representatives arrived an hour early and started measurements and inspected the house. We then sat down to explore options and went through a long power point presentation (2 1/2 hours) We were specifically looking at metal options but they insisted that we also look at a more budget friendly fiberglass option as well. The two gentlemen were polite but very high pressure salesmen, always trying to close the deal despite then knowing we were just beginning the process and were looking for information. They were convincing regarding their product, but totally whiffed during pricing presentation. We were trying to get budgeting information to determine which direction we would choose. They, on the other hand were in a hard sell close. The initial price was $88000 which was way more than expected or reasonable. they then tried to switch to the fiberglass option which was "only" $64000. We did not think the numbers made sense and told them so. Next they went through various options and discounts, requesting testimonials and favorable surveys to get a huge reduction to $68000 for metal and $44000 for for the fiberglass. The caveat is we had to make the decision now. They offered to sit in our driveway while we talked it over, but with no copy of an estimate or proposal that outlined materials, dimensions, scope of work.....only verbal representations. The salesmen were very effective but we asked for more time to evaluate our options I sent an email requesting a formal estimate and was ignored. The sales manager did call and asked about the process....I expressed frustration on their unwillingness to commit to a written quote and he indicated we would only get one once we decided to proceed. So much for customer relations. This seems like a sales operation vs. a construction company. Very aggressive and unresponsive.....they do stay on script. We are relieved that we stepped back from an emotional decision and did a bit of homework, The BBB reviews and stories tell you all you need to know. BUYER BEWARE! read more

1-313-209- 6419 is the number that they call you from but they try to tell you to call their 1-888 number . This place is a complete sham just like the other review there response was were here on the other side of Lansing the next few weeks and could not get down your way. In other words the polite way of saying buzz off after they realize the area where the quotes were. This place is just a call center with the same photos of their jobs and postings in different cities including Ohio and Michigan. All the reviews online are bad. With poor customer service. My experience was no better. And you can pay to have a different rating with the Better Business Bureau which is on their website. The female my phone was extremely rude basically stating this is not the kind of roof that you want people put these kind of roofs on homes they keep for a long time you wouldn't want us. The fact that most homes in this Corktown area have hit the 500,000 price range and Ford Motor Company just moved in. And the restoration project on the grand central train station is 700 million. These homes are going to be the ground floor of the high-end Chicago style neighborhood here in Detroit. Their arrogance will make them miss out on a lot more jobs and the fact that I was going to give them two locations to do sorry for them. Hopefully anyone who does a minor amount of due diligence we'll see the poor contractor they are. Don't waste your time or effort . They are arrogant and disrespectful. Hopefully this will be their downfall anyone who decides to utilize them after the multiple reviews that all have the same underlying tone unfortunately deserve what they sign up for . I just recently had my roof replaced by Erie construction they did a beautiful job. My salesman (Greg) was Awesome! He was very helpful through every step of the process. The materials and dumpster were delivered on Monday. Their crew started Tuesday 7AM, they had new roof installed, area cleaned and job completed by 1PM. They did a wonderful job. I plan on using Erie Construction for all my future projects. I would highly recommend Erie Construction and if you're lucky, you will get Greg for your salesman. read more

We had a 20 year old roof replaced in June of 2019. The salesman presented the products available in a professional manner. He put a drone up on the roof so he could show us exactly why we needed a replacement roof. A gentleman followed up to measure the roof to verify the proper materials were ordered the job. The office personnel set up installation dates that were convenient for our schedule. The workers installed the roof with skill and professionalism. The cleanup showed their dedication to detail. Scheduled a quote for 7:00 got a call around 7:30 that got disconnected. They left a message saying he was late and would be here around 8:00-8:30. Didn't leave a number for me to call back. Almost 9:00 still no one here and no phone calls. Would not recommend. read more

We had a new shower installed by Erie Construction to replace our old tub. The experience was very good and we love our new shower. The installers were very courteous and efficient. They were very professional. very friendly, and had great attitudes whenever a question was asked of them. The work site was kept very clean and they left no garbage behind. Erie Construction came out and gave me a quote on a new roof. They had an advertisement on tv that installation would only be $89 and we'd get a $25 gift card for getting a quote from them. My house is a 2000 sq ft ranch with an attached garage. I got a quote for both metal roofing and asphalt roofing. They took 2.5 hours to finish the presentation, and after quoting me $77,937 for a new metal roof, and $46,185 for a new asphalt roof, pressured me to sign then. They lowered the asphalt price down if I would give them 20% down and they would throw in another $2104 off for my husband being a veteran - making it "only" $37,809. And if I would give them another half hour of time they could offer me a really special price for signing that day and giving them the deposit right then. I said we never signed on the same day for anything this expensive and that we had two other roofers giving us quotes also, so I would have to wait for those quotes to come in. At that point they packed up all their stuff and said the savings for the 20% deposit and the additional savings for the vet discount were no longer valid - those were only if you signed the day they came out. When I asked for the gift card, they responded that was only for customers who signed a contract. We will be getting a roof installed within the next couple of months, but not with Erie. I hate high pressure salesmen, and $46,185 for an asphalt roof is ~$30,000 more than the quote from next roofer that came out - one with a 4.8 star rating. Financing was very easy. Quality of product is excellent and workmanship was good. Roof looks great and all additional repairs that may have been needed were included with the price. No additional charges. There was some collateral damage (torn screens) they fixed later. I previously had GutterHelmet gutters installed. I would recommend having GutterHelmet remove/store/reinstall them. The roof installers took them off and did not reinstall with all the hardware. About a month later they were fixed with the torn screens. Did a nice job. read more
