I highly recommend this dentist office. Dr. Eric Schorn is very professional, patient, and nice. He did an excellent job repairing some old fillings of mine. He also discussed a reoccurring issue with me and ways to fix it. He went over the expensive and inexpensive options, which I appreciate. Everyone in the office is not only professional, but nice: the receptionist and the tech I dealt with were great. The receptionist even called me when there was a cancellation so I could get my work completed at an earlier date. His prices are fair. If you don't have insurance - dental work is expensive. Period. At least with Dr. Schorn, the quality of the work matches the price. read more

I really like this dentist. He's patient, friendly, and answers questions well. Even though I only go twice a year, he remembers things we talked about at our previous visits. The office is calm and soothing--you can look out the window from the dentist chair and see a bunch of trees. I'm not sure if he put up the birdfeeder, but there's one outside the office, so you have some entertainment to watch. The receptionist and hygenist I've dealt with were both very effective and professional, and I've never spent more than a minute or 2 in the waiting room because things are scheduled well. However, I can't really speak to the prices, because he's on my insurance plan network, so they cover all my preventative care (which, fortunately, is all I've needed). read more

I took Jill's suggestion and made an appointment with Mr. Schorn. It's a tiny office and everyone is super friendly. There's no glitz and glamour like some of the new dentists I've been to in the last couple of years - no tvs on the wall to watch, no fancy gizmos, just the dentist equipment I remember as a kid. What I liked is that I didn't feel like they were telling me I needed to get work done that I didn't really need. I had a hole in my tooth (not a cavity, just a hole) that Dr. Schorn said would be fine without a filling if I just took care of it. That sort of thing is rare, at least in my experience. Usually I feel like they are trying to FIND things for me to spend my money on. So... I highly recommend it! read more

I found my experience at Dr Eric Schorn's office terrible. I tried him on the recommendation of a friend. His staff was curt and unhelpful. Then while in the chair, I found it very unprofessional the way he and his assistant discussed their personal business like I wasn't even there. I wish I experienced the kind staff that was described in other reviews. After a traumatic motor accident, I was in immediate need of some crowns and veneers. I visited with 5-6 different dentists in Dallas to see what my options were and how quickly I could get things done. NONE of these dentists charged me consultation fees- except Dr. Schorn's office who charged me over 100 dollars! While Dr. Schorn himself was very professional and kind (and this review is not regarding his work or expertise), a female staff member made me feel uncomfortable at the onset of my visit. My accident resulted in several facial and spinal fractures as well as road rash on my face. As a twenty-some year old woman, I was extremely self-concious about my appearance during the healing process. I was also stuck in a neck brace. This female staff member (who was told when I scheduled the appointment about the severity of my accident and the urgency of my needs) made a huge deal about my neck brace. No other dentist had an issue with it, nor did any other dental office make me feel more uncomfortable about my appearance than I already was. My biggest problem with the dental office is that I was charged over $100 dollars for a fifteen minute consultation. I spoke briefly with Dr. Schorn and he informed me that he would not be able to get my dental work done in the time frame I needed. He was also unable to do any x-rays or a molding because of my limited jaw movement. When we called to inquire about the consultation fee (that we were never told about) the woman on the phone was extremely rude and dismissive. She said if we stayed at the office we would not have been charged. However, Dr. Schorn was informed about the urgency of my situation and was more than understanding that I had to explore other dentists and other options. Even dentists that were able to do x-rays did not charge me a fee (or go through my insurance). I have never taken the time to write a Yelp review, but the combination of the rude staff member and the shady consultation fee encouraged me to warn others. Ever since I was a little kid I've had bad teeth. Over the years I've had several fillings, crowns, and a root canal all before I was 23. So I'm pretty picky about who my dentist is. I've been searching for a quality dentist since I moved to Dallas three years ago. Unfortunately for me most dentists tend to see dollar signs in there heads when they see me because of all the work I've had done on my teeth. I've been to two dentists prior to seeing Dr. Amy Schorn. One was at Floss Dental in Uptown and the other was somewhere on Preston. Both of those practices left me very unhappy and doubting the integrity of dentists in Dallas. The dentist at Floss actually told me that one of molars was cracked and I needed to get work done ASAP as well as refill all of my fillings (that's 6 total) since they were too old. All of that was just BS - and this was after he asked if I could be a teeth model. I took Jill and Kacie's advice and decided to visit Dr. Amy Schorn, and she has been the best dentist I have been to so far in Dallas. Their office is very efficient and professional. I only had to wait in the lobby for a few minutes and then was escorted back by the dental hygienist who had a great sense of humor. The dental hygienist really knew her stuff and did a great job with the cleaning. I still have my permanent retainer on the back of my lower front teeth and the teeth tend to get a lot of plaque and she was very meticulous in getting the plaque off. Dr. Schorn came in after my cleaning and looked at my teeth and told me that all my fillings look good and no cavities. She did say that eventually two of my fillings will need to be changed but that we would cross that bridge later. I highly recommend Dr. Schorn, especially if you're looking for a dentist that has integrity and actually cares about your dental care and not how much they can get out of your insurance then you should definitely check out this practice. read more

Never have I had to wait in the office for longer than five minutes! The promptness of the staff accompanied by the friendliness of the staff leaves me pleased every time I walk out the door. I came to Dr. Eric Schorn after a previous dentist had recommended root canals based on x-rays without even examining me. Dr. Schorn provided a second opinion. He did a THOROUGH examination and explained that he would not recommend root canals without first seeing if a filling would suffice. I was scheduled with Dr. Amy Schorn (who is the general practitioner, Eric does mostly crowns) but she was away on the day of the appointment so Dr. Eric Schorn did the fillings. I have to say he did an amazing job, painless, and despite they were big fillings, 3 weeks later I hardly notice them. A big difference from 2 root canals! Dr. Schorn explained his opinion logically and thoroughly, spent a considerable amount of time, and followed basic practices of thorough examination to come to a conclusion that was in the best interests of the patient. I have learned that dental and medical practices vary widely, so it is important you find an honest practitioner. read more

I was referred to the Drs. Schorn by my children's dentist (and I completely trust Dr. Holly). I'd been been going to one of the big chain dentist offices. I ended up needing some of their work corrected. Dr Eric did a fantastic job. He is just as patient, professional, gentle and nice as most of the other reviewers have noted. The Drs.
