This location is pretty convenient for those in the Richardson area, or even neighboring cities because it borders Plano as well. Charlene (front desk admin) is very friendly and efficient. I always get text notifications (you can set this up with them) two times prior to coming in, and a confirmation call. This is really useful for me because I make the appointments 6 months out and don't remember the specifics. If you need to change your appointment, it's also quite convenient to change times / days. Just take a note to the days they aren't open! The process of cleaning and results are always clearly explained to me when a question arises. The cleaning and polishing process is a painless experience, and fairly quick for me (under the hour). Everyone here is so nice- Recommend this dentist!

The best he will offer is to redo the fillings and "will probably lead to root canal and crown." I had four fillings done by Nishit and all four failed the following month. I told him when he finished the fillings that when he used the floss it cut the floss. He said it was nothing to worry about and that he would make any touch ups for free when I come in a month later for cleaning. I said ok and brought it up again first thing when I came back for my cleaning a month later. The AI scan of my teeth confirmed the new fillings had all failed. I'm afraid to go back Richardson family dentistry as my teeth or so damaged I'm afraid to smile or take pictures anymore. My insurance was maxed out so I have to wait a full year to find a new dentist that can help me fix the mistakes. If you need any dental work beyond a cleaning. Please beware. I really hope no one has to be put through what I have been put through. The staff is nice and very polite including Nishit. He is just inexperienced with fillings.

I am very disappointed with North Star Dental and dentist Pham. She is so incompetent and…read moreunprofessional. She was just doing a sales job instead of being a dentist. My routine cleaning appt.was at 2:30 pm. By the time I was called in, it was 3 pm. Everybody was so disorganized in that office. Pham came in and pushed for me to get X-Rays done even though I have already emailed them all the X-Rays that were taken 2 days ago from my orthodontist office. I told her I went to see him for my root canal that was infected..she was pestering me to replace my root canal with her. I reminded her that I just came here for a routine dental cleaning only. After that, she started pushing for me to get deep cleaning instead of routine cleaning even before measuring my gum pockets. I told her again, I just wanted routine cleaning. She did not stop...she asked one of the front desk staff to check with my insurance on deep cleaning. By now, it's 4 pm already and nothing has been done to clean my teeth. One of the staff came in and told me that it will cost me $281 out of pocket to do deep cleaning on the left side of my mouth and that Pham will take 45 mins to 1 hr to complete the deep cleaning. After that she will take another 30 mins to finish routine cleaning on the right side of my mouth which was fully covered by my dental insurance. Finally, Pham came in to do the deep cleaning at around 4:15pm and she was done cleaning the entire mouth in 30 mins. I immediately told her that I was very disappointed with the cleaning she did. It did NOT feel like deep cleaning or routine cleaning. All my previous routine cleaning lasted at least 45 mins to 1 hrs. I have done deep cleaning in my younger days and it was nothing like this... This was what I expected when I signed up for deep cleaning on the left side of my mouth but the incompetent dentist Pham DID NONE OF THIS: 1. Measuring the gap between my teeth and gums with a periodontal probe 2. Inject local anesthetic into your gums to ensure you don't feel any pain during the treatment. 3. Use a dental tool to remove tartar from BELOW your gum line. 4. It will take AT LEAST an hour to do half the mouth All she did was use a scalar tool and scraped my entire mouth without any pressure... Typically, you will feel your gums sore after a deep cleaning. All I felt was my teeth had not been cleaned and did not feel any soreness after her so-called deep cleaning either. It's a shame that North Star Dental has such an incompetent dentist like Pham. BTW, she was busy chatting with her assistant the whole time about her wedding, school and children instead of focusing on the patient during the so-called deep cleaning process. PLS DO NOT LET JENNIFER THO PHAM TOUCH YOUR MOUTH. SHE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE PATIENT. SHE IS ONLY INTERESTED IN RIPPING THE PATIENT OFF. SHE IS THE WORST DENTIST I HAVE ENCOUNTERED IN MY LIFE!!!!
