You are a framer, how long do you take? Answer the damn question. I would inquire about other frame colours and he would say, I don't want to answer because its outside your budget. How rude? I will choose it if I like the design. He had a very aggressive tone. When I was hesitant, he said, I can do this one for $140 since you're a first time customer but if you leave, I won't do that price for you again. Either this dude was ripping me off, or he had a lack of confidence in his own craft. No one needs to say that to any customer. If I shop around and realize you're the best in the game, I'll come right back, and I would still be your first time customer. Highly dissatisfied, I do not recommend anyone going to this dude's shop. He is highly arrogant, rude, unprofessional, and from the get-go showed that if I was unsatisfied with his work, how he would react or how helpful a man like that can be. I would say avoid the headache and avoid The Frame Maker. Instead, I recommend Michael's on John street. The frames are equal quality, very good selection, and the prices are better than Frame Maker. Also, they will sell you a frame, even if you don't have a print for it, without trying to upcharge you. Save yourself the headache, and avoid this business.

I was unavailable at that time because I was busy, and he left a voicemail for me. I was busy throughout the week, and I decided to call the manager on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at approximately 8:30PM, just before the store's closing time. My intention was to speak with a manager to arrange an interview, which I estimated would take no longer than five minutes. What made the situation more frustrating was that I made multiple attempts to reach a manager in-store but couldn't get through. I then spoke with an employee working in the Printing Services department to ask for help in connecting with the manager on duty. This associate seemed unfamiliar with Gabriel, the manager who works in the same store. He told me there was another manager named Ryan, but I wasn't sure if that was accurate. The associate claimed Ryan was his manager and offered to transfer my call to him. After about two minutes, the call disconnected unexpectedly, and I couldn't reach anyone afterward. What I find perplexing is why the manager didn't email me to schedule the interview directly. It seems unreasonable that I had to go through so much trouble just to end up speaking with no manager at all. Ultimately, I have decided that I am no longer interested in working at that specific location. I hope the nearby store can contact me to set up an interview.
