We made a quick lunch stop at this Jersey Mike's location during a recent road trip. It was…read moreconveniently located right off of I-90, so the family pointed it out right away. Our stop was on a Saturday mid-afternoon. The store was clean and the workers were friendly. The order taker / bread cutter / meat slicer was friendly and engaging. He got us started on the right foot. Then the next employee, putting the rest of the sandwich together, took this visit downhill for us. She, despite asking us each what ingredients we wanted / didn't want, managed to mess up several of our sandwiches. For example - I ask for "easy mayo" on my sandwich. Later i was wiping off gobs of mayo that were oozing from my sandwich. One of my daughters always gets a ham & cheese, plain with just pickles and oil. She even said, "no vinegar, please." The girl still drenched her sandwich in oil and vinegar. Another member of my group asks for easy vinegar...boom, soaked in vinegar! For the most part, we just rolled with the sandwich errors. The "easy vinegar" person tried their sandwich but later elected to go back for a remake. I love Jersey Mike's, but in today's world with everything being so expensive, you've got to make sure that the customer is getting what they ask for. With 5 people in our group and only 1 or 2 getting what they asked for, the score for this location takes a hit. Not bad...good location, clean store, friendly employees. Also, not good with the lack of paying attention by the sandwich maker. Maybe if I'm ever passing through Albert Lea, MN again, I'll give this place another shot!?

It has a wonderful flavor with the slightest kick at the end; excellent. Always fast and courteous service. You order at the register and they will bring your food out when ready. It does get busy at lunch so I recommend coming earlier or later rather than 12 noon. The owners and staff are wonderful. Always kind and courteous, and the establishment is always kept very clean. If I have one grievance it would be the small side that comes with the sandwich; and I only say that because it is so good that I want more! The potato salad...out of this world. Go. Now. They have a great variety of flavors to choose from and they will load up your bowl or cone with a ton of ice cream. If you get to the bottom of a bin, they will try to empty it out and give you as much as they can so they can open up a new tub of ice cream! My favorite flavors include java chip, cookie dough, & bourbon pecan. They also serve dole whip soft serve and sundaes as well! If you are in town, this shop is a must try during a hot day but they are only open seasonally so keep an eye out on their social media for updated hours!

Hands down, my favorite place in Austin! Def come here - fabulous service and food!…read more Every meal is made to order. Even so, our wait was not long. Let's start with the salad: simple, GREEN (not iceberg lettuce!), a few red onion slices, a few olives, a few grape tomatoes, and a light amount of the house dressing. The tomato soup is as good as people say. I am very picky about tomato soup. Theirs was delish. Flavorful. The bowl was big; two of us shared it. Chicken piccata for dinner. The chicken was perfectly cooked! The sauce was flavorful. The pasta was also perfectly cooked. Large portion. Left overs. Our waitress was fantastic - helpful, fun, funny. We arrive a little on the late side and she was welcoming and said come in in! If you find yourself in Austin, come here.

I just kinda maybe wish they'd ask if they should first. the grilled cheese (paninied) is not what I intended but it is likely a better option than CFS plus eggs and grits... sandwich comes with sliced tomato and minced onion cooked in - the 10,000-degree press does wonders for the acidic sugar in the tomato; think sun-dried fruits that were actually dried in the actual sun. stuffed wavy-on-top-smooth-on-the-bottom toast with herb sprinkle presents well but I'm not sure what to do with the fork. shop is comfortable with seating available at a half dozen kitchen tables, a couple dinettes and wrought irony patio sets or a rumpus room couch. the hard part of casual is not trying to hard to look like you're not trying so hard. friendly and efficient CHoM pretty much nails it :-)
