What a gem! We stopped in here after a visit to the Green Giant. I'm guessing it's a mostly scratch kitchen? but I can't say for sure. Regardless, everything was delicious! I couldn't decide between breakfast or lunch, but thankfully I could order just a single (gigantic, delicious!) pancake. Definitely good! The turkey melt was delicious as well. Excellent bacon! I Loved the potato "chips" and they came with seasoned sour cream. (Only wish I had more chips!) Service was fast and friendly. They had a bunch of prepared baked goods - pies, muffins, cookies. I bought a giant peanut butter cookie to go and it was delicious! Definitely worth a stop. read more

Was in the neighborhood to take pictures of the Jolly Green Giant down the street. Found this gem on a Sunday afternoon. On Sundays they're open until 2 pm and serving breakfast only. My wife and I both had the bacon & egg sandwich. Lots of bacon, eggs cooked to perfection and served on hot Texas toast. Our server was fast and funny. Place was spotlessly clean. Ok, so we went here for breakfast, and it was so good we went back for a late-lunch/early-dinner! The service was excellent (2 different servers), friendly and attentive, with a good sense of humor and Midwestern hospitality. The place was cozy and homey, with roomier booths than most places. Stopped here as it was the first diner I noticed on my route. Highly recommend for a home style food. I had the biscuits and gravy, apple pie and caramel apple bread pudding (togo). Staff were amazing and food was delicious and filling for a great price. Location was quite as homey. Great place for a family, of all ages, to stop and converse, get off those devices. OMG. This was the best food I've had since becoming a truck driver. I have had a Lot of burgers in my life but this one by far is the best. Perfectly cooked with the perfect brioche bun. I had the turkey melt with cranberry aioli with a side salad, my husband had a BYOBurger with potatoes wedges and amazing sour cream and green onion dipping sauce. We also shared the fried pickles. Normally I don't care for the spears because they can be soft and mushy, but not ones from this restaurant! They were crunchy and my far the best fried pickle spears I've ever had. So fun to see this restaurant thrive! We first dined here within weeks of their opening and back today for breakfast as we stay in the area. In fact we drove 35 minutes from our camping spot to eat. The decor is still appealing and clean. It is an industrial, modern, barnyard feel! Our service today was top notch, personable, and efficient. We both ordered the special, The Hen House, and it was prepared as requested, delicious. We overheard chatter about pie coming out of the oven so what's breakfast without dessert? We had the corn nuggets (which we had never heard of before but are fresh creamed corn-filled little pillows of friend deliciousness) for an appetizer.
